no wireless network card?

trying to connect my Dell Vostro aged from 1 year to my wireless network which works very well.    When I click on networking, there is no option wireless...

Hello

Maybe this can help.

Most laptops have a physical switch for the wireless card. Read the manual of the computer and make sure that the wireless adapter is on.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless streaming is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

When the work turns on the Wireless security.

Note * people sometimes make mistakes in writing and retype the password for security.

Another way is to copy in the menu of the router and then paste it when asked of the wireless card.

I just finished reinstalling a new windows 7 64 bit on my laptop of uncles engaged. I reinstall the drivers and the only one missing is wireless network card driver. I run the scan on the HP site and it came not with all the drivers for the wireless adapter. It does not show that I have more drivers that need to be installed or updated. But still the wireless adapter does not work. I can't find the driver anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. It is a HP Pavilion dv6 laptop.

    Hello:

You're probably not following the instructions to find the hardware ID for the letter.

Here is the link for the driver, you need to map wireless in this model.

  • Satellite P10 - 221: "absent wireless network card."

    Hello world

I had this problem: the wi - fi network card is not present in the list of hardware, the installation of the driver (both Toshiba tools and Utilities CD and downloaded drivers) still fails. In the case of Toshiba CD it says "DON'T NOT updated the driver, Installation failed", while in the case of the downloaded drivers, nothing happens when I choose "Install" from the context menu (click on right .inf). The problem is: the wi - fi card is completely absent, the operating system does not, it does not matter where.

Someone at - it had the same problem or knows the solution?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

are you sure that you really have a wireless network card installed? Not all machines don't.
Check the code under the machine. It is printed on a silver label and looks like this:
    PIII1000/256/20/14XT/D/LM/W

This one is a 1 GHz Pentium 3 machine. Read your code and put it here and we can tell if it has a built in network RLR.

  • Satellite Pro A40 fell on the wireless network card; Damaged PCMCIA slot

This morning my Satellite Pro A40 (Celeron 2.6) fell 40 cm. He fell right on the wireless network card that has been inserted. This card is still alive and so is the rest of the laptop, but the PCMCIA location is little damaged. I can insert PC cards almost completely, just the last piece (when the pins are) wrong.

I removed the cover near the CPU, and there, I could see the inside PCMCIA slot; I could see the main part and the last part where the pins are. That little part as is pushed upward, as you can see in the pictures.

I think I'd be able to fix myself this PCMCIA slot, but I can't remove it. I removed all the screws on the rear plate, but he is still blocked.

    Pics:

    PCMCIA slot

The PCMCIA location; on the left, you will see the part with the pins, which is pushed upward. It's also what I see when I look at the pins in the PCMCIA slot. as they are pushed down, but I don't think they are folded.

    Wireless network card

Wireless network card; It is a little damaged but it still works.

Does anyone have an idea how I can remove the back plate, or another way to remove the PCMCIA slot and fix it?

    Hi Steve

Well, I can give t well you not answer how you can just remove the PCMCIA slot.
There are a lot of screws and to my knowledge, it is necessary to remove all covers and screws that are placed at the bottom of the unit and inside under the keyboard.
Please check this specific device. Perhaps you have overlooked a few screws.

But if it is impossible to remove the PCMCIA slot of the unit, I recommend to ask the service partner for a detailed instruction.

    Good luck

  • ProBook 4520 s - exchange of the wireless network card

    Hello everyone.

I think the exchange of the wireless network card in my Probook 4520 s, due to the low flow.
So I searched for a while a 5 Ghz supporting the card and found out that I am only able to get in the "white" cards list working. Then I looked at this page:

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/document.jsp?lang=en & CC = US & objectid = c02487851 & jumpi...

These cards can be any, that have been used in 4520 s. Mine (according to the Device Manager) is the Broadcom 4313 802.11b/g/n. This thing only supports 2.4 Ghz. Now, I looked at the list for a 5 Ghz supporting the card. I think that the 802.11A/B/G/N WLAN Intel HMC 572520-001 minicards can operate on 5 Ghz, because I read, that A appears only with maps of 2.4/5 Ghz. I read too, that maps of 2.4 / 5 GHz have 3 antennas, but on this card I only the slots for 2. Is this good? And this card would go into my 4520 s?

    Greetings,

    Colony

    Hi, colony:

You are right about your statement about the cards being described as A/B/G/N dual-band.

The best thing to do is look at Chapter 3 of your service manual.

You can only order one of the cards listed as supported and it MUST have the HP reference on it or it won't work.

I see only two possibilities for you...

The 6200 Intel and Broadcom 4322.  Make sure you also get the part # that corresponds to what country you live.

If your current Broadcom card has integrated Bluetooth, you will lose your Bluetooth capability if you order an integrated HP bluetooth module and probably the cable too.

None of the dual-band cards have embedded bluetooth.

    Link to the service manual.

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02439213/c02439213.PDF

Then, you can order a card on the link below.

If you do not live in the United States, you can change your country at the top of the page to yours.

    Hello

I think that it shouldn't be a problem to upgrade the WLan card.
As far as I know its a card wireless network of miiPCI and you would need to also use a WLan card which would support the miniPCI interface.

The wireless network card supports two pins for the WLan antenna cable.
Usually, you must connect a white cable to the HAND and a black to the auxiliary voltage

    Hello

As far as I know that the Tecra S1 has no card network wireless not installed, but you can improve it with a minPCI wireless network card.
The drivers needed, you must download it from the page of the Toshiba driver or drivers will come with a wireless network card.
Also the Bluetooth is an option on this unit.

  • Satellite A300D-11v - wireless network card does not work under Win XP

Can someone write me step by step how this fix.

Please help me and sorry for my English :)

    > Also may try to reinstall the drivers that appear in this web site, appear here the Atheros drivers your need of portable.

Your computer laptop doesn t support card Atheros, but card Realtek WLan.

    > In Device Manager, everything is ok, but I can't connect.
As you say the WLan card is recognized correctly, but you can't connect.
    Why?

I m do not know why, but you should check first if your WLan router uses the same standard WLan (802.11 A, B or G) as the WLan card.
    Check the settings!

Then check if the right WLan encryption has been selected, check if the Mac address was not enabled, check if the firewall doesn t affect the WLan connectivity.
