  As there is no software of full functionality available for your printer for El Capitan, wireless configuration is not available of its software.

  Select the wireless printer and follow the instructions on the screen to reset / restore wireless settings.

  Power off the printer and the power.

  Ensure that Radio Wireless / Wireless is enabled in the menu of the printer wireless.

  Click on the WiFi icon from your Mac and select view networks, then join another network and connect to the hpsetup wireless network.

  Open Safari, on the Safari menu, select Preferences.

  In the Advanced tab select to display Hello in the bookmarks menu, and then close the window using the Red Cross to confirm the changes.

  Sorry, but your ad is absolutely not understandable. First of all why you didn t write what model of laptop you have. Is the Toshiba recovery image pre-installed or your own operating system?

  If the wireless network adapter is correctly installed and listed in Device Manager switch it on using the WLAN switch. After doing this WLAN device activate using the FN + F8 key combination.

  All you need to do is configure the WLAN network and enjoy your life. ;)

  The WMP54G is an internal PCI wireless adapter and will require drivers installed in order to work a being available as a network connection, the drivers are found here , but depend on the version of the actual hardware to get the right one. You may have to open your case and check the version number on the circuit to find its version, if you still have the packaging, it could be there.

  Download the Zip file, unzip it on the PC and launch the setup.exe located in the directory it creates.

  Use the utility that it also installs to connect to your wireless network, you will need wireless security key to do so. WiFi LAN in Internet Explorer is so once that the connection is set up IE will automatically connect to your wireless router.

  Can someone let me know if the Portege 4000 Mini wireless adapter supports WPA? I tried the Cisco and Lucent drivers on the Toshiba site with no joy and I am up to date with XP, SP2 etc.. The card works fine with an open wireless link.

  AFAIK This oldie, Portege 4000, was equipped with the card Wireless LAN ORiNOCO (Agere).
  According to the user manual the Wlan card supports only data encryption Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP short).
  So I doubt that the WPA would be available.

  Maybe you can switch on an external USB WLan key that supports the ciphers.

  Connect the printer via an Ethernet cable to your router and follow the installation instructions.

  I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to set up a password to print wirelessly to my printer.  I figured out how to set up the e-print option, but NOT what I'm looking for.  I'm looking to set up a password so that whenever someone tries to print through my printer in the wireless option, they would need to enter a password.  (for example.  they want to print a document on MS Word they would need to enter a password, they want to print an article on a Web site, they would need to enter a password).  I think it is after that that they hit the "print" button there will be a pop-up that says the password... something of this effect...

  I have a laptop Dell Latitude X 300 XP Home Edition.  I lost the hard drive, put a new, all installed software and drivers updated.  Now I shows that radio on and outside Wireless Tower and the Device Manager shows it working properly; However, there is no wireless option in "network connections" and I do not see my wireless router.  Everything works great until my network cable is connected, but I can't get anything wireless.  Any ideas?  How do I know that it really works and if this is the case, shouldn't there be an option 'connect to the wireless network' in ' network connections?  Thank you.
