Noise - Dell XPS 13 9350

I bought a new dell XPS 13 9350 from BestBuy August 8, 2016 and have several sound problems.  First all the sounds stopped working about a month after the purchase of the laptop but using the Dell.com support site, I discovered that 3 Intel drivers were disabled. Once I reinstalled audio drivers started working again, but another question continued. A periodic static noise.

Laptop periodically makes a static sound whenever you press a key. The noise at startup, it happens every time that you press a little matter what kind of program is running and so far there is no apparent trigger that forced him to start emitting static noise. Twice I ran diagnosis "Full Test" on the dell.com support site, but the test can't find any problems. Considering the price of this laptop, I am surprised and even more shocked to see that other people have problems with static sounds.

I bought a HP laptop the year last for half the price of this laptop and have not had a single problem with this computer.

Recently bought the new Dell XPS 13 9350, 1080 p with the i5 processor version and I would like to know how to load the xps 13 via usb - c port sight.

Which cable I'm able to use? I would like to use a male USB - A to USB - C cable to recharge the laptop using usb Sockets aircraft.

    Tracked down the answer:

It does not simply with phone chargers. He needs Chargers portable a higher voltage. You cannot use cable USB A-To-C to load (unless you have a defective cable seriously, which can damage the charger). You cannot use the Nexus 5 X, 6 p or OnePlus Chargers.

12-9250 Chromebook Pixel 2 and XPS (and perhaps a few other upcoming 2016 Dell systems) include a USB - C charger that works with the XPS 13 and 15. Chromebook Pixel charger is a wall wart, unlike most chargers for laptop with a brick in the middle.

Buy a compatible USB - C charger costs as well buy a normal replacement Dell laptop computer charger, so it is honestly not much unless you want to use it on other USB - C devices (whether now or in the future). The Pixel charger can also with phones, but I don't know if the XPS - C USB charger can also.

You'll also USB - C load with docks. Any USB docking station - C and any wharf 3 Thunderbolt should work with it. Dell has wo of them towards the end of the month of January each offers multiple output video, USB - A, Ethernet, audio ports and in charge. Plugable and some other manufacturers some too.

  • USB port - C Dell XPS 13 9350 and external storage

    Hello everyone,

I have a 3.1 USB enclosure external (Vantec Nexstar USB 3.1, model # NST - 270a 31 - BK) that I connect to the USB - C (Thunderbird 3) of my XPS 13 laptop 9350 port.  The player does not start even after using two different 3.1 USB cables.  I installed all the USB drivers and Thunderbird from the Dell Web site and active port in the BIOS, but still have no chance to get the player to run.

That's when I plug the player into a standard USB port with a USB 3.0 cable, boots road to the top and is recognized by the laptop without problem.  So if my diagnosis was made correctly, the USB box and wiring is not defective, so the problem must lie with the USB - C port.  Has anyone successfully used port USB - C to access the external storage with a bit of luck?

    See you soon,.

In another thread ("XPS 13 9350 - SSD USB C 3.1 - very unstable/not usable '-I can not add links), the following fixed my problem by using a drive HARD USB 3.0 with the Dell USB - C for HDMI/VGA/Ethernet/USB3.1 adapter:

... the adapter USB - C and WiFi are kind of material and power wise. If you go to the options of the advance of the WiFi adapter and change the WiFi output at 75%, this solves a lot of problems with the connection / disconnection of USB - C questions. Exit at 75% reduction does not affect your connection on wireless networks.

My HARD drive kept connect/disconnect when you use the adapter, but this correction took care of her.

  • Bluetooth keyboard no longer works on Dell XPS 13 (9350)

This morning my Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 which was already very well stopped working with my XPS 13 (9350, running Windows 10). The keyboard is grayed in devices and printers. I tried to remove an instrument from there, but he won't. I tried to add again as a new device, but it is not detected.

Also Microsoft Help says Bluetooth needs to be displayed in the start menu > settings > devices but there is nothing about Bluetooth technology in there, which makes me wonder if Bluetooth stopped working entirely.

I have the latest updates to Windows, Dell and BIOS updates. I have updated drivers using Driver Reviver (although some not always update all) and also relevant drivers looking for Bluetooth in the Device Manager. alone was obsolete, but it made no difference. Also rebooted several times during all this.

    What should I do?

In fact I finally fixed it, as a result of this video:

    cs_setInnerHtml ('video_3649fa29-4eba - 4b 73 - a87a - b8b751a56db9', ");

Then, I managed to get an instrument of devices and printers (he continued to show gray but had gone, not obvious until I clicked on the arrow to refresh), and then added again with device adds and he then worked.

  • Dell XPS 13 9350 Touchpad emits

    Hello

I have a XPS 13 9350 with a clean install of Windows 10 on Bios 1.2.3.  The touchpad has a couple of questions:

    (1) full of energy when scrolling.  In a Web browser, when using two fingers to scroll down, to release the screen pops up a little - sometimes jumps to the top of the page again.  It's better described is this post, but with no resolution:

    (2) tap to click sometimes stops working.  When this happens if I move a finger on the pad a little and try again, it starts working again.

    3) click done drag provided by himself.  More often than otherwise, if I click and hold the button on the touchpad to move a file, it is free until the button is released.  Its almost impossible to move emails between folders in outlook because of this behavior.

Here are common questions of interest?  I get a faulty hardware?  I run Dell Update utility, but apparently my system is up to date.

    Pointers appreciated!

    Thank you
    Ben

Hi, I had questions specifically chrome scroll when the 9350 XPS13 was released in November. The update of Windows 10 TH2 which sets however. I assume that you have already updated to Windows?

Yours sounds like you have a defective hardware and must be an easy diagnosis to Dell support.

  • Dell XPS 13 9350 Eve does not

Hi, I'm using XPS 13 9350 variant for these days, but suddenly today, "sleep" mode is not work, so I turned down the cover and put the laptop bag backpack. After two hours, when I got out, it was extremely hot that falls asleep. I tried to put it manually no standby, no luck, power options it is already fixed to to sleep when the cover is off. When you manually give mode 'sleep', he turns down for 1 second and back again. What is the solution to this? Feedback is very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hey Rishi,

Thank you for your support. So far the update of the BIOS seems to work, as I also tried system restore and checking the local account but not luck. After the BIOS update, it's going to mode standby. Thank you again once, will let you know if it happens again.

    Nice day!

When I leave work and close the cover of lapto it goes into hibernation mode. On the way home, I open the laptop and turn it on with the switch. First of all, the monitor displays the BIOS boot screen and load of the window, but the screen turned gray and there is no possibility to enter a password. Today, after coming to work, I spent exeperimental.
    1) turn on the computer, a gray screen.
    (2) connect the docking station to a stationary monitor all appeared.
    (3) I go back indeed, worked, closed the lid - the laptop is in hibernation.
    (4) turn on the computer, do not disconnect the docking station, a gray screen on the laptop, on a stationary monitor power saving mode.
    (5) connect the dock to a stationary monitor all appeared.

Window update to update all the drivers, update the docking of the firmware. Nothing helps!

Dell experts help please it is not convenient to work!

    Solve this problem...

    Small guide for all:

    1) go to dell.com and download the latest update of drivers and bios. Do not use the dell update, download site.

    (2) go to the web site intel and download chipset and video driver. I use the software to update intel.

    (3) install all updates for Windows in the control panel in the Update menu.

    (4) turn off your laptop, goto bios and disable fastboot (do all the tests at boot).

Now sleep and hibernation mode work fine for me!

  • Dell XPS 9350 (Windows 10 Home x 64) boot at the Startup Menu

    Good morning guys,

Just got a question on my Dell XPS 13 9350, Windows 10 Home How to access the Boot Menu (where you can see the BIOS, boot options, etc.) when starting from dell, I don't know exactly what and when press to enter the menu, can someone tell me how to do this. I'm new with this laptop and hope you understand. Thank you very much.

    Hello

    Please write to us!

When you start the system press the F2 key, and which will bring up the configuration of the BIOS.

You can use the arrow keys that the mouse do not work in the BIOS.

  • Bluetooth doesn't work is not on the new XPS 13 9350, Windows 10

Just cannot get Bluetooth to work with any device, even if these devices work with each other.   She will see the device in the Bluetooth settings page and will get "associated with" and then "Connected" for about 5 seconds and then fall back to "paired."  Never really gets a usable connection.    Everything works well on this laptop.  I downloaded a couple of drivers from the Dell site but don't know where to go from here.  Any help would be appreciated.

Here is how I solved this on my Dell XPS 13 9350

1 removed my device manager bluetooth accessory (in my case it was a headset/earphone)

    2. right-click on the "Bluetooth Dell Wireless 1820 A 4.1 THE" adapter and click Update driver software.  For me, it downloaded and installed an updated (took a few minutes)

    3 reset

    4. This is probably the key bit (gleaned in a post I found on a forum of HP for a similar symptom).  GO INTO THE BIOS AND RESET BIOS TO FACTORY SETTINGS

Without step 4, no matching rate, uninstall, etc seems to have no effect.  I guess this is because the different versions of the bluetooth driver write different/incompatible bluetooth keys in the key store, and I suppose that the reset of the bios that erases the.

Once again I re-paired everything then worked... CLOSE.  for my helmet in particular, I also need to do this:

    5. go in Control Panel "devices and printers".  Right-click on the bluetooth accessory and select Properties.

    6. click on Services.  It takes a few seconds to refresh

    7. you should see a bunch of boxes.  For me, they were all uncontrolled!  In order to check their to activate these services (for example "Audio Sink" to get audio routed to devices 'Remote Control' to manage accessory buttons, "Hands-free telephony", to manage the micro call / voice, etc.)

Finally (!)  I could then do a right-click on my Audio properties, go to playback devices and select my bluetooth headset (and change to the default playback device, etc.)

  • Dell XPS 13 restarts when you wake up sleep on the battery

Since yesterday, if I put my Dell XPS 13 9350 (10 of Windows) to sleep and wake it upwards again, it starts from scratch, applications are complaining that they have been forced to quit with unsaved files, etc..

It seems that this happens more particularly if it is on battery, when I wake up. (Either by the way, I'm pretty sure that this is happening if I put to sleep by closing the lid, using the power button or by using the start menu. It also happens if I'm going to hibernate instead of sleep, although I never this have tested only once.)

I guess this is due to an update that Dell update made a couple of days, but I don't know what it was.

I since drivers updated from the Dell site & also uninstalled the video drivers (which corrects this problem for someone else on this site) and specifically checked battery-related drivers are up to date, but none of it helped.

    Any suggestions?

OK, so I finally seem to have set myself (thanks to a post on Reddit).

    The solution:

    1. Make sure you have BIOS version 1.2.3 or later version; Otherwise, update
    2. Stop computer
    3. Start pressing F2 to go into BIOS
    4. In the menu choose the power management, then block sleep, then check the box block sleep upstairs

This command removes the option menu sleep start > Power (and), but solves the problem. Behavior, it now seems to be in hibernation rather than to sleep when I close the lid or press the power button, because it takes more time to 'sleep' and wake up. It is, it works.

  • XPS 13 9350, stop at 80% load (plugged in, not supported)

    Hi supporter,

I bought a laptop DELL XPS 13 9350 of Bank of Microsoft (NY), last week. But it stops at 80% load. I read all the topics on this forum, but my problem is not solved. Yes, I did:
    -Update window
    -updated BIOS version 1.4.4
-BIOS > setting > battery general information: excellent health, 80% (Idle), AC adapter / CC = 45W
-Power management > Configuration of the main battery Charge: Standard
    -all step here

    except (step 5 & 6).
-J' ran diognasis test in BIOS: all past.

What could I do next? Thank you

Contact Dell for a replacement of the battery warranty.

  • PXE cannot start with XPS 13 9350

My company has recently had to buy a few new laptops due to expansion, and the XPS 12 9333 was no longer available, so we sold the XPS 13 9350 instead, having received assurance that it is the same system and everything will be supported as it was with the XPS 12. I ran through the normal steps in the BIOS to ensure a compatibility PXE boot (disable Secure Boot, select Startup inherited, etc. options), but when I hit the F12 key to try to perform a network boot I don't see the option in the start menu. All I see is Windows and the Samsung SSD Boot Manager. Someone at - it else here had this problem and managed to resolve it? We use Ethernet USB21000S2 StarTech adapters suggested, that Dell sold us.

Trying to deal with their customer support has proven me why I HATE DELL with a passion. Advised to my boss to go with ASUS or Lenovo, but she wanted to go with Dell because of a long-standing commercial relationship. You can not get someone who speaks clear English on line, you will need to explain your problem 10 times before you finally get someone who is able/willing to help. No one seems to understand what I meant by PXE boot or told me he is not allowed on their laptops.

    Hi Rick,

Thanks for the reply. We have tried all the suggestions that you pointed out, but nothing has been able to get the Startech adapter to work. You don't know if it is related to two USB 3.0 ports or not, but it seems that the Startech USB21000 does not work with the Dell XPS 13 9350.

I had to buy an adapter Ethernet USB - C, and which went through without any problems. About 1/2 also took time to the Startech adapter took which was a pleasant surprise.

  • XPS 13 9350 wifi to automatically reconnect to the known network

I wanted to see if the owners of Dell XPS 13 9350 encounter a problem connecting to woman that I have.

My home wifi Netgear router is set up and I have connected with the password and select "connect automatically".  However, my Dell won't connect when I reboot.

Laptop Lenovo to my wife and another bridged router remains connected and there is no problem.

I tried to disable the computer put power off 'allow' pay-per-view network in device, network, power management card Manager, but the behavior has not changed.

Wanted to see if anyone else has seen cela or not.

I've rolled back to an earlier version of the Wifi network adapter and have no problem.  I saw several people in researching this issue who has problems with the latest Broadcom driver that is located on the Dell Web site for the 9350 XPS13 perhaps this is corrected in later versions.

  • Dell XPS 13 flickering of the screen (9350)

Just got the XPS 13 (9350) last week and I had a few intermittent black screen flicker that occurs normally in short bursts of 4-5 short black outs in a period of two or three seconds. Technical support updated all drivers and others, but I always feel the questions. Anyone had similar problems and possible solutions?

I looked at the previous messages and the display flashes, it's not where it actually distorts the things on the screen, it literally just seems like it flashes. Any help is appreciated!

Make sure that you have not installed hyper-v.
