Non-administrator iTunes install

Hi all

I am a network administrator and all our users have no administrator rights. Also, it is not possible to give them Admin rights.

With the latest version of iTunes, the installation seems to require a little final configuration at the start of the user after installation of iTunes as administrator. When the program starts it comes up with an error "the file is denied due to the strategy of digital signature". "."

In the past, I always installed as administrator and logged as a user, open iTunes and it was very good (summer work like that for 4 years).

All of our PCs and laptops are running Windows 7 at the moment and it is not possible to give the user temporary admin rights.

I have searched other posts for more than a week, but can't find an answer to my question.

I hope someone can help

Kind regards

Gary C.

During the first launch iTunes in the user account you can use the right click > run as Administrator option? Alternatively you can run iTunes in the administrator at the end of the installation account? What file is rejected? See also https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/925336 for possible general information on this error.

  • How to launch AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 as a non-administrator user

We have installed a stand-alone copy of AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 on a PC running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit operating system. No, we can only launch the AutoCAD software as an administrator. Can someone tell me how we can launch the AutoCAD program as a profile of user not administrator created locally on the same PC?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    1. what happens when you run the program in a non-administrator user account?

    2. do you get an error message? If Yes, what is the full and exact error message?

AutoCAD Mechanical 2007 is not completely compatible with Windows 7 and is in need of an upgrade. I suggest you to improve and check if this may help:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/details.aspx?type=software&p=Autodesk%20AutoCAD%202007&v=Autodesk&UID=17&l=en&pf=0&PI=0&s=AutoCAD%20Mechanical%202007&OS=64-bit

Perhaps for the same reason, you may need to run the application as administrator.

  • XP administrator cannot install new programs

When I try to install a program I get an error

"You must be logged in as an administrator to install this program."

I am the only user of XP Home and am registered as an administrator of the computer. I used system restore to go back to a time when this error does not appear, but after the restoration of the system, I got the same error message. I created a new account with administrative privileges with the same error. SafeMode worked OK. I used regedit to verify permissions, and they indicate that I have administrator privileges.

I ran SFC and tested the equipment without any problem. I finally realized I had saved the registry with ERDN every day so I went back at the same time (more than four weeks ago) where the problem has not produced and found that the problem started after I had installed and then uninstalled Comodo firewall but had never removed from my computer. I used Revo uninstaller uninstall, restarted the computer and the problem disappeared.

Thank you very much for your help!

tries to run a cd rom but says you must be administrator to install, but I am.  How can I fix it?

    Hello

You do a right click on it > and then select run as administrator.

  • You must be an administrator to install

for some unknown reason, windows (Vista OEM home premium) has decided to not allow me to open Word or Excel (did not try the other programs of the suite office) and indicates that they are not installed.
I went to re - install Office and the system indicates that you must be administrator to install Office.
I was not ever administrator because it there was only a single user when the computer was purchased.

I checked the user account to ensure, and it always shows the status of administrator.
I went to the MS customer support link supplioed and he asked the product id that is not ideally on the sticker on the side of the computer.
the collected through the system information was not accepted by the program (naturally) so they suggested contacting the paid support (of course)

    any ideas?

Support issues should you have an OEM of Windows version. You must go to your systems manufacturer to get help from Windows.

On the question of the Agency, it depends on if it came with the computer, or you purchased it separately. It's hard to say without a lot more information about how to resolve the problem. The easy way is to do a system restore to a time before this problem.

To restore the system to a point in time before this problem, follow these steps:
Click on START and type > system restore > press enter
If the recommended restore point is not enough back away, use the option "choose a different restore point.

If you have your Office CD-ROM, you can use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to wipe. Then you should be able to reinstall using your Office CD.

  • "You must be logged in as an administrator to install this program" error when I AM logged on as administrator. possible problem with TrustedInstaller security

I am logged in as administrator on the single computer.  I try to install Net Nanny, which claims to be compatible Windows 7.
The first time I tried to install it I got the error, simply, 'access denied '.  After several attempts with the same error, I rebooted in Mode safe mode with network and then got the error that the Windows Installer Service is not accessible.  After some research, I discovered that Windows Installer is not available in safe mode.
So I booted in Normal mode.  Logged as administrator.  Tried to click with the right button on the installer downloaded for Net Nanny and ran as administrator, the connection of the administrator.  Now I get the error, "You must be logged in as administrator to install this program."  I am.
I closed all firewalls, anti-virus software AND turn off the UAC.  I checked the compatibility AND security for the download tab and it is configured to run as administrator and I tried to run in several modes of compatibility.  I still don't "You must be logged in as administrator to install this program."  No matter what I try, I still get this error.
I used the command prompt, type msiexec.exe / unregister, and then msiexec/regserver.  No new results.  Still the same error.

I called Net Nanny press SEVERAL times and they will know that this is a Windows problem, because this is the first time that they already got this error.  They had me to download another file on a mirror site.  Not always the same error.  People what I'm doing wrong?  I was able to successfully install other software.  Thanks for any help!

UPDATE * I am researching always this.  This would be a TrustedInstaller security problem?  If this is the case, is it possible to fix the TrustedInstaller or turn it off?  The big question, is that I want to turn it off?  My first thought is 'no '.  However, this software is listed on the Microsoft site as being compatible with Windows 7.  Therefore, an application that is 3rd party that is accepted by Microsoft.  Wow, I'm confused.  Don't know what to do here.

    Hello carpetfresh,

A test, I temporarily disable user account control and then see if you can install Net Nanny. If so, we know that UAC is what is causing the problem with the installation.

    1. access control panel user to the Start Menu-> Control Panel-> user accounts and of security for the family-> user account

    2. click on the settings of the user account controll link.

    3. move the slider to never notify

    4. click OK for the changes to take effect

    5 reset.

Once you have correctly installed the Net Nanny, then back to the control panel and reactivate the UAC.

Answer please come back and let us know.

    Sincerely,

  • lock hard drives for non-administrative users

I'm having a problem when turning on pc backup options to lock the hard disk for non-administrative users in windows 7... pc backup options is not displayed in the windows account...

    Hello
Try to set permissions for the C drive?

If you want to lock hard drives to access through a standard or a guest account, you can do this by logging into the administrator account and perform the following steps.

    a. open the "computer" folder, and then click the drive that you want to restrict access.
    b. Select Properties
    c. in the properties box, go to the Security tab.
    d. you will see a list of users and groups that can access this drive.
    e. edit this list and take out everything except:

    "Administrators
    "System
    "Your username

You may also take possession of this disc - but you will be asked which asks automatically if it is necessary.

  • How can a non administrator user to do certain privileged tasks

    BS "D."

    Hello
I have a question to administration of Windows 7. (I have some experience UNIX admin, but am a novice to Windows).
I want to allow a non administrator user to do 2 of the following tasks:
    1. Installation/update software. Example: upgrade Adobe Acrobat Reader.
    2. Start/stop services. Example: MySQL is configured to be a service that is started manually. The user must be able to start and stop it at will.
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. I consider the upgrade to Pro if that would help.
    Thanks in advance!
    -Avigdor

In Windows 7, you cannot grant special privileges to ordinary accounts. This applies to all flavors of Windows 7.

    1. Installation/update software. Example: upgrade Adobe Acrobat Reader.
AFAIR ordinary users are allowed to give the go-ahead for the Acrobat upgrades.
    2. Start/stop services. Example: MySQL is configured to be a service that is started manually. The user must be able to start and stop it at will.
You will need to do so indirectly via a scheduled task. The task runs under the system account. It start or stop a service using a semaphore file that is created by the user verification.

  • "Error 213:11" as non-administrator disappear once paid for?

After that Roxio has disappointed me for the last time, I tried some trial versions of first 11 elements and Premiere Pro 6.0.3. The two gave me similar problems when launching as administrator on Windows 7 Pro. After initially running either application with "Run as Administrator," likely to get any installation after the initial installation done (yes I meant that), the application would run exactly once as a non-administrator, present me with a pop-up with the 213:11 error code, then exit. Subsequent launches would introduce me with pop - up without actually launching.

If this is related to some Adobe copy protection system used, this problem disappears once the products are paid?

Mine is the subscription of my wife to the creative cloud since we share a PC. So, it is paid for. But I can't imagine that's the problem. It looks more like a firewall problem prevents the program from the permission that he must run.

Edit: Scratch that last comment. I found the following page: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-store-does-not-allow.html

    Edit: And this comment elsewhere:

I was able to solve this problem for my users, you can give them full permisions to two locations:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe

    and

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users application Adobe

  • Do I still need to log as long as administrator to install something for everyone?

With Windows XP and even Windows 2003 server in some situations (especially on workgroup configurations), I found that by using the function 'run as...' "to try to install a program sometimes caused problems where it will settle only for the account I was logged as, one facility for the admin user that I used 'run as' credentials for, or worse, split the two.

So, I made a point always connect as long as administrator when a facility, unless I knew it was a fairly simple program as one who does not need installation, only to be left in a place accessible to the public as \program files\progname and a shortcut created in the "all users" folder

Is this still the case with Windows 7, or 'run as' work generally better? I just had to install something while doing a job on my account limited standard and found a great disadvantage of having to close the session because I was doing something else in the background and also had to close several things that I had opened.

I guess I could have used 'switch user', but I've learned to close all open applications when you do an installation with Windows 95, although it is cross-platform advice since I heard even earlier on the Apple II and the Macs. I know that this was the case with Windows 3.X, but it wasn't really a problem with MS-DOS because you couldn't generally longer run a program (TSRs excluded).

Some habits have life hard, and I wonder if the need to stop doing what I do, log off and log in as admin to update or install is a habit which is obsolete?

Your practices are still today pretty sound advice. He can certainly make facilities more managed to do what you describe and disconnect all users.

Regarding installation for everyone, rise when running as an administrator in Windows 7 that works much better, but the experience always depends on the program.  When you install some programs, you could get an installation option for 'just me' or 'all users '. But some setup routines give this possibility and just default to the current user (Chrome does this, or at least used to... but it does not require admin rights because it installed in the directory of the user instead of program files, which is great because it allows non-admins 'install').

Really because it boils down to only the software and how the installer has been setup, you're probably better to just do what you did in most of the cases. But her run as that is certainly more reliable these days.
