To fix this, understand (via computer model, invoice, open the computer, already aware, etc.) which audio device you have in the computer and download and install the suitable driver for the audio device brand & model of the web site of the manufacturer of this device.

No speaker in the status bar icon.  With the help of XP, SP3.   Occurred after reinstalling XP.  Use of motherboard ASUS with integrated Realtek.  Realtek version 5.10.0.5793 appears in the Add/Remove list, but not in the list of device management (seems like it should be).  Reinstalled the drivers repeatedly.  Notably, there are similar comments on this forum related to this topic.  I have read and tried all possible remedies linked, unfortunately without success so far.  Despite this, I hope that somewhere out there, there is an answer to this problem by replacing the computer.  Thanks in advance for any thoughts that come this way.

I tried both methods but unfortunately none worked.   However, I have had success using the IDT High Definition Audio for Windows XP drivers.

    http://download.CNET.com/IDT-high-definition-audio-codec/3000-2120_4-197119.html

Have been uninstalling all audio drivers on my computer.  The IDT program ran.   The problem has been resolved.  As my noise problem has been associated with a hardware configuration that contained the sound elements (Realtek) on the motherboard and not a sound card I do not know if this will help in similar cases of questions "without sound".

Repeat for others.   I had no volume in the notification area icon, sound Contol Panel indicated I had no audio device, no sound driver Realtek was posted in the section of controller of sound, video and game in the Device Manager. It is after that the pilots received Realtek had been loaded.

    Thank you for your response.

  • I recently had to re - install Windows XP on my computer and lost all my stored programs. Now my speakers do not work. The control panel says no audio device. What should I do to recover my audio? None

My audio does not work. It worked before I re-install Windows XP. What should I do? I'm supposed to have an audio installation disc? I'm new on the technical aspect of computers, so I know only the basics?

Using the Device Manager is a good way to get the drivers, but if you do a clean install on a computer or laptop, you must download the supplied drivers initially installed on the computer or laptop to the manufacturer. that is, if you have a Dell, then go to the Dell website.
    the site Web of HP/Compaq
    the Site of Asus
    Acer site
Alienware website (Now owned by Dell)
    eMachines Web site
    IBM Web site
    Sony Web site
    Toshiba Web site

Have I no all the em? Anyway, if you have a driver supplied with the computer disc, use this cuz he'll have original manufacturer drivers and the software that you get on the website anyway.
Also, if it's a Dell, you would like to have a look and print their Instructions on how to install the drivers, Dell cuz drivers must be installed in a specific order.
    Good luck.

  • Control Panel does not, audio playback does not

    Greetings.

I accused several problems on my device.
    Symptoms:

    • Audio playback does not. Troubleshooter does not solve the problem; If clicking on "options to explore" the program gets just closed.

    • Not opening Control Panel. By clicking on the icon will display the window, but it will remain a Virgin and load indefinitely.
After some time, estimated at about fifteen minutes, the window will always understand in the taskbar, but it will not be open upwards (while still showing the blank page on the preview).
    • Action Center to report problems of signature with a Microsoft Account and forcing the user to validate its identity. On trying to click on 'check', nothing happens. Switch to a local account and re - try to sign causes a "Please wait" message permanently on the app settings PC NOTE: accessing the said account from the web or with other devices is quite possible and does not generate any unusual behavior. The password of the account was changed, but this caused no change in the current situation.

Please note that the above issues may or may not have a common cause. I'm not experienced user, so I am not able to discern the useful information. It should be noted, however, that none of these issues have been already presented, and the machine has worked perfectly so far.

    Thank you for your time.

    Hi, Marcello,.

Thank you for an update on the issue. I appreciate your efforts to resolve the issue.

As you have tried almost all the steps to solve the problem, this problem could be by the corruption of the user account.

I suggest to create a new user account and check if that helps.

  • Missing audio device of the control panel.

Several days ago, I opened the control panel to troubleshoot an audio device. The Control Panel showed two audio devices:

    1: ATI PNP
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_1002 & DEV_AA01 & SUBSYS_00AA0100 & REV_1001\5 & B0AB116 & 0 & 0001

    2: REALTEK PNP
    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_10EC & DEV_0888 & SUBSYS_103C2A92 & REV_1002\4 & 19 19054 & 0 & 0001 c

Both devices are still listed under system information/system/components tools, but:

At some point during the configuration of the device from Realtek, ATI device disappeared from the control panel. Since then, I have found no way to adjust its properties, much less put on the control panel.

The only other change observed: formerly the computer sounds internal (startup, error, stop, etc.) remained internal. Now, I can hear them through the external speakers - acceptable but not optimal.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi sova27,

Look for the audio device in the properties of the device by default. Follow these steps to do the same thing:
    a. Click Start. Click on Control Panel.
    b. click on sounds and Audio devices.
    c. click on the Audio tab.
    d. choose the audio device by default in the menu drop-down.
    e. click on apply. Click OK.

Check if this helps you fix the problem.

You can also follow the solution of three steps listed in the link below and see if it helps you to fix the problem.

  • Error: System 32\nvcpl.cpl. Cannot open the control panel.

While trying to open Control Panel with Windows XP Professional, I get this error and the Control Panel does not correctly or at all.

None of your Control Panel options don't work or is a certain (s)?

Is that really you see the exact error message?

The file nvcpl.cpl belong to the graphics card NVIDIA and the NVIDIA Control Panel Applet

If you have any NVIDIA products installed, you should tell us more about your system as follows:

Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Thank you MS Answers, allowing the resolution of simple problems as frustrating and a lot of time as possible.

Provide information on your system, the better you can:

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination?  (this includes the plug pulling, buttons power, remove the battery, etc.)

The afflicted system has a working CD/DVD (internal or external) drive?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

Do you see that you think not you should see and when you see it?

If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

    Now make some clarifications:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click OK, and when the system info summary appears, click on edit, select all (Ctrl-A), copy (Ctrl-C) and paste (Ctrl-V) the information back here.

For information about video drivers, expand components, click view, click on edit, select all, copy and then paste the information here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

This will minimize back Q & A and eliminate guesswork.

  • HP Deskjet 2050 'control panel' (for lack of better term) missing

This morning, I clicked on the link that was created when I installed my HP Deskjet 2050 and the 'normal' Panel controls color black and blue with buttons to click on for printing, scanning, check the ink levels and all kinds of other things appeared.  I used this dozens of times link since I had this printer, and whenever I was sent to the good 'control panel' buttons to make things.

I clicked on the "scan" button and went about my business-

I scanned the 4 pages of homework in a single PDF.

I went to my office and opened the .pdf to check the quality.  (I did not close the window of program analysis.  The Control Panel has been closed when open scanning window.)

The scanner has been created to analyze the incorrect page size (results of a project from the beginning fo this semester) and I re-scanned 4 pages to the appropriate size.  Saved.  Check again once, it was fine this time.  I closed the digitization program.

Later today, I clicked on the same link mentioned above, and for some unknown reason, I get a completely different screen.

To the best of my knowledge, there have not been change file (last was 16/11/12, which was certainly not in the time I found the control panel that I use usually missing) or driver updates or something of the sort that caused my "printing, scanning, etc." link to no longer open the correct control panel.

There is a "Control Panel" completely different available not an hour before that I started to see the Junk above.  (And the "Wizard of the printer" button above does - nothing - at all either!)  There are 6 or 8 buttons which included objects such as a scan of pages option and make copies.  The previous control panel was also much more black than white.

How to bring back the old control panel with other options?

    Hello

HP has released a new version of the software and the question that's happened as the software you are using is obsolete.

Please remove the software by clicking Start > programs > HP > HP Deskjet 2050 > Uninstall.

Download and install the new software below, which should solve the problem and bring back any option:

  • Lack of access to the balance of audio volume control

The balance function is 'available', but now hidden in Windows 7. Is it possible to use a script or macro to quickly access the balance control? W7 the access sequence for me is 1) Windows task bar (click to view)--> Start (button)--> Control Panel (list)--> material & audio (hyperlink)--> system (hyperlink) change sounds--> reading (tab)--> helmet (icon)--> properties (button)--> levels (tab)--> Balance (button)--> press '1' (scroll bar) and the key '2' (scroll bar)!

A previous post, "can not balance sound in Windows 7", addressed to this situation with a label that showed more frustration a question. The response was useless for recommended action reduces the string above: click right volume (icon)--> (list) of sounds--> reading (tab)--> helmet (icon)--> properties (button)--> levels (tab)--> Balance (button)--> press '1' (scroll bar) and the key '2' (scroll bar)!

My comments are: 1) I could not designed access more complicated if I had a degree in software development. 2) what's up with "Key 1" and "key 2"? People have a left ear and right ear. (3) I read that more than 10% of the American population live with hearing loss. The loss is not symmetrical. A balance of ready-access control is an important element.

Please consider to improve this feature.

If you are using the Toshiba Bluetooth service, the MS Bluetooth service may not appear.

I do not have an available test Toshiba, but perhaps also nother forum member can confirm this.
