None of my internet browsers work.

There is some time, unexpectedly, Firefox and Google Chrome has stopped working. It happened after an update, but I was in a hurry, and I didn't really mind using Internet Explorer. It is now a few months later, and after installing some updates recently, including IE 8, internet Explorer no longers works. I saw that there was another update, and thought that maybe if I installed it, the problem should go away.

Well, which did not help and I was pretty tired to work on my computer, and I thought I would just do a system restore at the time where my internet worked very well, only to discover that the only restore point should directly before my last update.

The first thing I did was to uninstall IE 8. I know my way around a computer for most, but I'm not a very savvy tech person. I looked through the list updates that have been installed and found nothing out of the ordinary. I searched and found a few forum old posts with similar problems on other sites and after trying all suggestions (ranging from restoring the Winsock to uninstall a specific update) does not.

I restarted the computer in Mode safe mode with network and even in Safe Mode, the problem persists. I am really at my wits end with this computer. I had to go back to using my laptop. I'd appreciate any help, and as I said, I'm not too great with computers so suggestions will probably have to be written in laymens terms.

Thanks in advance.

When I start typing something on Facebook, or in my email, or comment on a blog, in Firefox, it will let me type a word or two and then nothing more. All other functions work fine, it's not frozen, but there is no response to what I've done with the keyboard. Other internet browsers and other programs work very well. It started with the SPACEBAR is slightly behind the other letters (so I typed a Word, you press space, had to wait for space to appear before I could type the next word) but now it's all.

  • More than two devices to connect to the LAN ports and none can see Internet

If I connect another router to my Netgear and use this another router by connecting four or five devices, all can see the internet and work very well. But if I remove this another router and connect these four devices to one of the ports on my Netgear modem/router, these devices each receive its own IP address (as expected), but NONE of THEM can access the internet.

    No idea why?

Everything works fine. Note, please, that the Netgear modem/router has always worked well - the problem was with the flaky DNS server addresses provided by Comcst.

  • Firefox in silent mode won't load websites - no error, other browsers work well, no program parasite.

    Info request here: http://pastebin.com/6W8CmjS3
Reset has been performed without any effect. Other browsers work fine. The firewall is configured correctly and no potentially conflicting software has been installed recently. The computer is generally clean from malware, without malicious modules have been found.

Firefox refuses to load everything except on: * tabs. I type in an address, press ENTER, firefox starts loading for a split moment, removes the address quickly and does nothing. No error message, no inaccessible Web site, no 404, just to clear the address bar and remains on the start page (which is always the default firefox one). I tried to access LAN and remote Web sites, I tried feeding the raw IP - same effect, firefox start indicate loading for approximately 750ms, then deletes the address and don't forget that never asked.

    Hello

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most of the modules.

(If you use it, switch to the default theme).

    • You can open Firefox 4.0 + in Safe Mode holding the key SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • Or open the Help menu and click on the restart with the disabled... modules menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, simply select "" boot mode safe. "

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. To do this, please follow article Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems .

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. It might help others who have the same problem.

    Thank you.

  • Tecra A8 downgraded XP and none of the Toshiba Utilities works

    Hi all

I just got a new Tecra A8 - it is downgraded to XP, and none of the Toshiba Utilities work (energy saving function keeys, keyboard shortcuts, etc.). When I try to reinstall - there is always an error message (missing dll or sth similar) - I tried to update the bios - couldn't - once again a missing file!

any ideas how to solve this problem? at least the fn keys (fn key works - I see a light come on when I press - not the functions well!)

    your help, I much appreciated!

    see you soon,

    Dimitris

    Hi Dimitris

May I ask you what Tecra A8?
I visited the Toshiba driver page and it seems that Toshiba provide XP drivers for two different units A8 PTA83Eand PTA82E.

You should be 100% sure that you are using the correct drivers!
In addition, Toshiba released the Installation Instructions of the document on the page and to my knowledge it s necessary and important to follow this line of installation guide. The proper installation order is necessary!

So take care and check again

  • Satellite A210-19Z: could not get internet to work with Windows XP installed

    Hello

When I install Windows XP on my Satellite I can not get Internet to work

Do I have to install drivers or so?
Please post links to the drivers if so.

    Christian

    Of course you need readers.

If you have connected your router with a LAN cable, then you will need to install the LAN driver. If you want to use the network WiFi WLan driver must be installed also.
If your computer laptop doesn t supports the WLan card then the WLan driver is not required

All the drivers (if available) XP can be downloaded from the European driver Toshiba page!

  • Can't get internet to work on my Satellite A100 formatted

    Hey,.

I recently formated only my computer and then I installed all the drivers I need for my PSAA9 A100... but the internet wont work... I kinda understand why but do not know what to do about...

If I'm not confused with the proper driver unentierly to get internet to work with my adsl is the pilot network, right?

Well, I downloaded this one, but when I tried to install it there is no setup file or the Installer file to uninstall... Unfortunately for me I managed to click that one a little too quickly without checking what it was now, which leaves me with 2 questions:

Are the pre' LAN drivers with windows installed so that the internet can work from the beginning?
How do then if this is not the case to operate internet?

Any help is appreciated, thanks on advance Maxime Maison

    Hello

According to you the first thread, I assume that you have installed the XP operating system and didn t use the Toshiba Recovery CD. Am I wrong?

As you know, the LAN driver can be downloaded from the Toshiba page.
If you will not find any .exe file then you need to install the LAN driver from Device Manager.

Go to Device Manager, expand network adapters, chose the unknown device and install the reader following this procedure.

    -Select update/install driver
-Choose the option install from the list or a specific location
-Select option don't search. I will choose the driver to install
-then point to the driver that you have downloaded and unpacked.

    Good luck

  • None of my graphics cards work, not even in safe legacy!

As the title suggests, none of my graphics cards work for my pavilion p7 - 1597c. The only way I can see my screen is when I have no graphics card in probably due to the fact of secure boot. It does not work even with this option disabled. So, I must also have a slot pciex16 security disabled to make it work, but now I can not detect any of my maps I have. I have disabled the start safe and active start inherited countless times with a bunch of different options without success. Having to remove my countless of times graphics cards is very annoying so I can reset the settings and try the different settings. Maybe theres something wrong with the bios? But I don't know, I'm just really mad that I can't play my games in my library of steam because of this.

Here is the article I've tried: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03653226

    Used graphics cards:

    MSI AMD RADEON 7730 1GD5

    AMD SAPHIRE 7770 1GD5

    NVIDIA GTX 660 1GD3

Well I fixed, so for all models of p7 - 1597c, you must have the legacy mode and you must also have enabled pciex16 to secure, but it also disables the use of your other two dvi ports. This case is now closed.
