NOR-DAQmx 8.7.1 do not install

I am trying to install my DAQCard-6024E card on an old laptop. I use the NOR-DAQmx 8.7.1 software supplied with the card. When I try to install the software, it says that the computer did not meet the minimum operating system requirements. The laptop running Windows 2000 and has an Intel Petium 3 Mobile to 800 MHz with 256 MB RAM. According to the file Readme for the NOR-DAQmx 8.7.1, for deployment software, recommended CPU is a Pentium 3 600 MHz or equivalent, 256 MB RAM and Windows 2000/XP. Can someone help me understand why this will not install. It seems to me that all my OS requirements are met.

Matt,

You have the latest Service Pack of Windows 2000?  I believe that the latest service pack was SP 4. Try to update to the latest pack service and then install the driver.

When I double-click a theme or .themepack file install (and all the theme files I've downloaded directly from Microsoft, so no 3rd party themes, AFAIK), nothing happens. I tried to combine the shell32.dll file type and nothing happens, I tried a .reg file that was supposed to help resolve this problem and nothing that is a result of the merger.
I don't want to do it manually. What could be the cause of my system doesn't recognize is not a theme file, I downloaded Microsoft? Any help will be appreciated.

You are running Windows 7 Home Premium or higher edition? Themes do not work in lower editions like Windows 7 Home Basic and Windows 7 Starter.

But if you use Windows 7 Home Premium or higher and want to use Windows 8 theme, please change the file extension to zip to extract the images from the file and you need create your own theme among these images.
.themepack is the only expansion supported by Windows 7. .deskthemepack is the extension that works only with Windows 8 (note that .themepack is also supported by Windows 8).
  • NOR-RIO as not installed additional Installer 4.0

I have converted my LabView 8.6.1 project 2011 SP1. The output of the project is a Setup program that includes the additional installers as 4.0 OR RIO. This avoids to install these drivers manually on the test PC. Test PC has a card of the R series FPGA. Only when I install the Setup program generated on the PC NOR-RIO of test driver is not installed. Everything seems to work fine (after installing this driver manually). Anyone have an idea what may be wrong?

    Hi Thierry,.

Thanks for your reply. I managed to fix it myself. I added the extra 'NI R Series 4.0' installation program probably is not part of NOR-RIO 4.0 more when add you it as an additional installer (but it is part of RIO OR when you install from a DVD). I looked before, but I forgot the first time (prior to the announcement of my problem). .

  • NOR-DAQmx compatibility with the system in real time

I try to use a time system 11 with LabVIEW Real-time. When I try to connect with the driver OR DAQmx, an error saying that the version of the NOR-DAQmx drivers are bundles with the one on the real time. I tried to use different versions of the NOR-DAQmx drivers that are available in the table of compatibility, but not those who worked. I have an old computer working with the same real-time system that uses LabVIEW 9 and has the driver NOR-DAQmx 9.3.5 f0 driver installed on it but I can't find the drivers on the web. What should I do?

I am using LabVIEW 2015 in my current computer.

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like you can just have a lag in the versions of software installed on your host computer and the target.  In order to deploy the code from your host to your target, the two must have corresponding to libraries of functions.  See this link for instructions on updated versions of the software on your target match those installed on your host computer, the wizard of the LabVIEW RT software.  If you have already done this, and it did not help, please provide a screenshot or error code of the message that is to appear.

  • How to calibrate the PCI-6110 with NOR-DAQmx

    Hello

I am a new user of the PCI-6110 Council tries to run the calibration using LabVIEW procedure. I look at the document "Calibration" on the page of the manuals for the Board of Directors,

    http://sine.NI.com/NIPs/nisearchservlet?nistype=psrelcon&NID=11888&lang=us&q=FQL: 28locale % 3Aen % 29 + AND + % 28phwebnt % 3 A 1081 + OR + phwebnt % 3 A 7075% 29 + AND + 28nicontenttype % 3Aproductmanual % 29 + AND + % 28docstatus % 3Acurrent % 29% 20RANK % 20nilangs: en & title = NOR + PCI-6110 + manual

One of the first steps in the document is to call the AI_Configure command to set the input mode, beach, etc. I'm using LabVIEW 8.5 with the NOR-DAQmx software, and I can not find the command (which, in LabVIEW, seems to be "AI Config.vi") anywhere. The calibration paper was written in 2003, and I gather from Google searches (please, correct me if wrong) that this command is actually a part of NOR-DAQ traditional, who was replaced by driver OR DAQmx.

My question is this: what is the equivalent to AI_Configure command in the latest software? Is it perhaps a subsequent document describing how to calibrate using NOR-DAQmx?

    Thanks much for any help.

    Tom McLaughlin

    Hi Tom,

The calibration Procedure series B, E, M, S, which is also linked from this page, describes how to calibrate the PCI-6110 with NOR-DAQmx.

  • 5112 does not appear under devices NOR-DAQmx

Why does not list MAX my 5112 under NOR-DAQmx devices, but it is displayed (undefinded) PXI system? Also, I can communicate with the map using the flexible Panel so I think that the device is correctly installed.  The main problem is that I can't use this card with my 5600 because MAX reports no digitizer.

The 5600 must be coupled with a 5142 to form a DAA.  If you must use the 5112, you can use the 5600 on its own with the pilot DAMA downconvert only mode.  Then, it would be possible to manually use the OR-Scope driver with the 5112 to read in the data, but this is not recommended.  (It would be essentially the same using a third frequency step-down converter or digitizer).

  • NOR-DAQmx 8.9 and 9.0.2 simultaneous install?

I have the 2009 and 7.1 on the same machine.  When I install DAQmx 9.0.2 for 2009, all my vi acquisition for 7.1 (installed with NOR-DAQmx 8.9) will miss.  Is there a way for 7.1, 2009 and DAQmx 8.9 and 9.0.2 all to coexist on a machine?  Currently, I have to uninstall and install the drivers of acquisition whenever I pass versions of LV.

    Thank you

    Greg

Hi, there is one thing to do before installing DAQmx, save LV7 directory after install ofDAQmx copy the save and everything works fine. (express alone will not work).

  • NOR-DAQmx subpalette is not available in my range of I/O of measure

I have a USB-6009 I installed in my computer before installing LabView (big mistake).

After I installed LabView 8.2 my camera would not work, he would be recognized by the computer, but whenever I try to read, I'd get an internal error message, so I re-installed the drive (DVD DAQmx 9.1.7) accompanying and now my subpalette function DAQmx disappeared.

My LabView still has the available controls DAQmx subpalette, I can create tasks and everything, but I can't read, write, etc. Anyone know what could have gone wrong and how can I fix it?

NOR-DAQmx 9.1.7 only supports LabVIEW 8.5, 8.6, 2009 and 2010.  You can check this KB for more information on which DAQmx versions are supported by each version of LabVIEW: NOR-DAQ and LabVIEW (for Windows) version compatibility.

The latest version of the driver NOR-DAQmx LabVIEW 8.2 support was NEITHER-DAQmx 9.1.1.  You can download it from our website here.

  • NOR-DAQ traditional vi not found in NOR-DAQmx

Hello. We hope to control a detector via NI PCI-6533 (DIO-32HS). Our colleagues have implemented control programs in BT 7.1 to 7.3 of NOR-DAQ traditional. Now when we opened their programs on a PC installed with LV 8.6 and NOR-DAQmx 8.9, many vi was not located, including "DIO config.vi", "DIO wait.vi", "DIO clear.vi", "DIO read.vi", "Reset.vi Device", etc. We realized that they were supposed to come from vi.lib\daq\digital.llb and a few other .llb in the same folder. Apparently vi.llb\daq was installed by the traditional DAQ.

We do not believe there is compatible with LV 8.6 traditional DAQ, which means that we need to replace those 'DIO *.vi' or 'Device reset.vi' with their counterparts DAQmx.  Could someone shed some light on how we should start working on that?

    Thank you very much.

    Xiaolan,

Indeed, there is a traditional DAQ driver for LV 8.6. The installation can be found here.  I hope this helps.

  • NOR-DAQmx run options under additional installers are not displayed

At halfway in this FAQ (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3021) talks about the various Runtime options available when you include the NOR-DAQmx driver in a LabVIEW Installer - they are full and 5 different options of operation. I have 2011 LabVIEW and NOR-DAQmx 9.3.5; the only installation type I see is complete. No idea what I may have missed to install or configure correctly?

    Thank you

    Jorge

    Hi Jorge -.

You make an excellent point raise this question.  The reality is that the documentation is a bit a type-o.  The latest version of DAQmx which allowed this ability multiple-install type was 8.7.1 that allowed full, TERM 3 and 5.  Version 8.6.1 allowed all full of Runtime and RT 2-5 selectable options.

This was changed in the development of the installer because features such as Measurement & Automation explore (MAX) by omitting makes it much more difficult to program source files that use the DAQmx driver.  Limited choice DAQmx Installer problems in future development. SignalExpress is also omitted in some versions.   This change was made in order to avoid questions that were considered to be a problem when the installers have been created with these minimalist installs.  So I'll make this change to the Developer Zone confusion invites future readers.

I really appreciate your message and bring it to our attention.

You try to install from the Web or Adobe Creative Cloud application?

If you had installed the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop application, launch it and connect.

Once logged in, click on the tab menu Apps.

After loading the list of apps apps, Photoshop and Lightroom and click Install next to him.

  • NOR-DAQmx 8.0.1 undefined reference

    Hello

I'm new with NOR-DAQmx on Linux. After reading the posts in this forum, I was able to successfully install OR-DAQmx 8.0.1 on OpenSUSE 11.0. When you run "nilsdev", I get the following list of features:

    OR PXI-6255: "Dev4.
    OR PXI-6733: "Dev3.
    OR PXI-6733: "Dev2.
    OR PXI-6713: "Dev1".

    #include
#define DAQmxErrChk (functionCall) if (DAQmxFailed (error = (functionCall))) goto error; on the other
    int main (void) {}

I get several errors about undefined references:

I have already installed OR DAQmx on a Windows XP computer and got the same errors, but could (using this post) to create the libraries needed to link against. However, I have found no information similar to that in Linux (this message seemed to understand this problem, but unfortunately, the author does not share its solution). So far, I tried various options of connection with no success '-ldl ' etc. Obviously, I'm not bind properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Grine

I solved step connects. (Why answers always come when you almost gave up? )

As I suspected, a liaison simple number. Compilation with 'gcc /usr/local/lib/libnidaqmx.so o main main.c', did the trick.

I have still some errors during execution of the program, but I can probably solve these on my own.

  • DASYLab w / support NOR-DAQmx NI 9227, NI 9229 & cDAQ 9174

I am trying to use DASYLab 11 w / NOR-DAQmx 8.5 to my configuration material of NI 9227, NOR 9229 & cDAQ-9174. After decommissioning of my PC Win7 for XP that takes in charge OR-DAQmx 8.5 (the OR-DAQmx last, supported by 11 DASYLab), I discovered that NEITHER-DAQmx 8.5 does not support the cDAQ 9174. Right now, looks like I'm watered except so use LABView. Is there any other way at this time to use this hardware configuration with DASYLab or any other application?

DASYLab V11 supports Windows 7 when you install the Service Pack (see www.dasylab.com).

Where are we going to say that it does support NOR-DAQmx 8.5? I installed the most recent NI.com last week, and it seems to work very well. I use only simulated devices so far, but DASYLab is data collection and display correctly.

  • DAqmx and IMAQ pallets do not appear in my palettes of LabVIEW 2011

    Hello

I use LabVIEW to my University via a Campus license since 2005. I installed it on several computers.

My problem is related to a new LabVIEW installation on a brand new computer.

I have the license Site LAbVIEW 2011 Academic just installed and validated (via the License Manager) in this new machine running 64-bit Windows Seven.

[I also installed the DAQmx and the "distribution of February 2011" IMAQ drivers (downloaded from OR) as well as the NI Vision Software (version for LabVIEW 2011, the same distribution as the LabVIEW 2011).]

I launched LabVIEW Ant checked to see if everything was there, specifically the DAQmx and IMAQ functions, since I have the cards OR to make the acquisition of data and images. Note that I have not yet installed these cards in the PC. I m going to do only when I would have ensured that all the software is ok.

The subpalette DAQmx in measurement of i/o functions palette is missing.

Also, if I'm looking for the NI-IMAQ subpalettes in the range of Vision and movement functions they also lack.

Notice that all other subpalettes in the range of functions of Vision and movement are OK and there appear (utility of Vision, Image Processing, Machine Vision, and Vision Express).

Then, I checked if the installed drivers are really there. For this I used the MAX or (measure explore), and it looks like it all everything is there.

I mean, under NI MAX > my system > software I can see these articles:

    NEITHER Vision TERM 2011

    NOR-IMAQ 4.5

    NOR-DAQmx... several entries

I checked if the forum or knowledge base in NOR have any clue on what to do, and I found somewhere by the idea of trying to fix the installation via the Windows 7 Control Panel > programs and resources > OR software.  I did this procedure twice, just in case...

I also tried to remove and reinstall all software (including drivers) and NO, I did it twice. The result is always the same.

    Any suggestions?

When you install the drivers, you include support for LabVIEW 2011?  If this isn't the case, you won't see the LabVIEW screw in your palettes even if the software is installed.  Normally I expect that the Setup program automatically adds this support, but he can't do it, especially if you have installed the drivers before installing LabVIEW.  See the image below:
