'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Windows Search\Gather\Windows\System Index missing or invalid' error message appears after each Norton Utilities scan.
The problem is that IE frequently slows down or blocks, the Task Manager shows the CPU clocked at 100% the problem will clear for 5-10 minutes.
I am running Windows XP Home Edition with Norton Utilities; Norton Antivirus; Advance system care and Super AntiSpyware as my software security.
Anyone had any chance to solve this problem?
Thank you

Hi when I start my laptot get this time on screen, c:window\system\spool\driver\x64\3lxcf time.dll ewry. lack of entry_run dllentry@16 it please can someone tell me what it is regarding
This DLL (for example, Dynamic Link Library) would have to do with a dynamic timer in your Lexmark printer software. The Lexmark printer software is configured to load each time that you start the computer, so when Windows starts, this error occurs.
First of all, I would like to see if the Lexmark Support site has an update for your printer software. If no update is available, the original software and reinstall it. Who would recreate the DLL registration and should solve your problems.

How to make Windows 7 indexing searches for items other than Outlook emails?
Currently, he finds the text in emails but not contacts, tasks or meetings.
Is there a way to include these items in the index?
You ask about Windows 7 or Outlook? Big difference.
In Win7, when you click on the starting planet, you'll see a text box pop up. It's the search system for 7. You can change it by typing indexing options in this box. Select it from the list that appears. In this window, you can change what the indices of the indexer.
The search in Outlook system is independent of that. I do not use this product so I can't take you to that answer.

I have Win 7 with Service Pack 1. I have "updated my Open Office 3.3 to 3.4 and now Win 7 search and options DO NOT locate my document content indexing more? I contacted the support of Open Office: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=55483
They claim that: "indexing and search in Windows 7 are performed by Windows 7", so there is a problem with Win 7 search and indexing options.
I checked the indexing options in Windows 7 and the "Index Properties and content of the file" is selected for ALL the 'odt' as well as all the files 'o'.
I set up a test document: I put only one word "Wednesday" in the Open Office text document, saved and it called "text". I am looking for Wednesday and the search comes up with two other documents containing the word Wednesday in them, but not the Test document?
I just discovered something. When I did the 'Test' experience above, the file was saved in format 'odt' a:. I changed it to a ".doc" file and it now appears in the search results. As mentioned above, I've changed ALL the files starting with the letter 'o' in Indexing Options > Advanced Options > Types of files to the article: 'properties Index and contents of the file. The description of filter for files 'odt' comes back as: "IFilter shop OpenOffice IFilter" where as 'doc' filter is listed as a: «Filter Microsoft Office» Is it a "Boutique OpenOffice IFilter IFilter: issue" Blocking "the documents appear in the search results? If so, how should I do (I mean in addition to all the documents 'odt' replacing 'doc'?
Just to clarify: document names 'odt' come to a search, but not the content document.

I'm following the steps to display the score of our computer trying to open the performance and tools by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance , and then clicking Performance Information and Tools. However, I cannot locate the system and Maintenance icon so, therefore, cannot take place. Maybe this does not apply to our computer? Yes, we use IE8 and XP Professional.
Windows XP does not include Windows Experience Index. It is only available in Vista/Win7.
But there are other tests of performance that allows your computer to reference.

System notes Windows Experience Index
I am running Windows 7 Home premium with a GEFORCE 9600 GSO video card. Windows will not evaluate my Windows experience index. When I click the "rate this computer" button nothing happens. The system is running stable and all the drivers are current, but Windows does not attempt to rate the sytem at all. No error message appears. It simply doesn't react when you click the "rate this computer".
Look for C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\winsat.log errors?
Have you tried C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore\ of compensation?

The error message also indicates: "cannot complete the assessment. The assessment or other operation did not complete successfully. This is due to an error reported from the operating system, driver or any other element. »
