  • Win 7 SP1 - deletion of the remote desktop connection

I have just reinstalled Win7 and now want to remove Remote Desktop connection.
I had a search on google and put apart from the endless stream of Web sites offering assistance that is not Microsoft or sites "known", all I can find is how to remove the history of connection and other unnecessary things. I click on these "unknown" sites for advice because they are often littered of malware and other.

The Microsoft.com search just comes up with a TechNet link on how to turn it off via Group Policy or "appblocker.

There must be a simple way to remove this? I checked in my control panel for a list of windows components and I haven't found it either. For what is such a massive security risk, it should be easy to get rid of. I am again disappointed by Microsoft for this approach.

    Can anyone help?

Place in 'Other apps Microsoft windows' for lack of a better category.

    Thoughts aside for Member States:

When the devil Microsoft did start using the team 'apps' for the installed programs or features? A - that Microsoft has decided to 'follow the herd' now, terrible decision. Windows is not a hipster created 'app' it is a level of business o/s and must be treated in these terms, there was a language and jargon created by the software industry professional for decades that was just fine, the need to 'jazz up' or 'trendify' these terms in 'New talk' is a pathetic attempt by a weak marketing team of desperately do not be left behind. DRIVE to Microsoft and are not for God love grow and use good pre-established conditions and language to describe your operating system, not some trend Street Slang that was created by the generation of wordpress - you're better that that, flow not at their level.

You can block incoming RDP sessions in the control panel system properties, where it has been the same since 1994 with Windows NT:

In addition, Microsoft called programs 'applications' for many years (decades).  Shortening it to "app" is just a common abbreviation.

Even Windows 7 said application, but I hope you're smart enough to know that 'app' means 'request', so it should not hurt much.

  • Screen 5600ea - completely black HP Omni 10 after crash while on the remote desktop connection

I hope someone can help me with this.

I had updated my Omni 10 to Windows Pro 8.1 so that I can Office remotely on my tablet on my work lan to get the benefits of the 2013 Office (we have not this version to work) on my work PC.

Anyway, while it is connected to my 10 Omni via desktop remotely my Omni 10 crashed after connecting a USB drive that is powered via a USB OTG adapter. I used the front adapter without any problem with the USB card readers bus-powered and also the Lan USB card so I know it works, and the outlet powered USB hard drive works on my PC without any problem.

The Omni disconnected from the remote desktop, and I guess it crashed, but the screen is black even when I hold down the power button and wait for the vibration (which usually means that it is set to zero).

There is nothing displayed on screen, my work PC is unable to connect via Remote Desktop, and any number of power cycles seems to relive.

I tried with the attached Omni 10 charger and without.

There is no HP logo involve restarting at any point, but the Windows key infiltrates a vibration when I push on it.

While enjoying the fact that the Omni 10 comes with the base Windows 8.1 and not Pro so I changed the configuration it worked fine for a few weeks since the installation.

Pointers on getting this thing to life would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

I returned to the store that I bought, and they sent to HP for warranty repair.

28 days ago so I went back to the store and they gave me a brand new boxed 10 Omni processor.

When I got home I installed the driver and Windows updates. I noticed that the WiFi reception was really bad, even right next to my router, and the cameras had lines on the screen and the pictures that I took.

The next day I went back to the store and they said all that and they initially said that I have to wait another 28 days, while it went for repair. When I said that this was not acceptable, they gave me a full refund of the amount that I had paid and used that to purchase a Pro of Microsoft Surface.

The Microsoft Surface Pro is fast, well doneand more importantly everything works.

  • Cannot create the remote desktop connection in two different networks.

Original title: Windows 7 PRO through internet Remote Desktop connection.

Two windows 7 Machines Pro. They want to be able to connect to the main computer (Internet router) when they are away at their House on the other.

It connects via DSL behind a router

    A modem connection cable Roadrunner

The customer has upgraded to pro. Computers aren't workgroup and domain just PC. What would be the best way to have to allow them to connect to the router. I tried the port on the router, nothing helps.

    Hello

Remote Desktop connection uses port 3389 in order to listen to the incoming connection.

When done over the Internet, you will need to forward the port to the IP of the computer.

Alas, a router can send a specific port only to a single computer.

Since you have two computers, you must change the listening port for one of them to a different port number and transfer the new port to the IP Address of the computer.

Let a computer uses the default port 3389.

In the second computer, change the port to another port of your choice, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306759/en-us

Assign static IP to the computers (make sure that it is in the DHCP range).

In the router open port 3389 to the IP address of the computer with the default setting.

Open port you used for the second computer to its IP address.

When you connect, if the connection is a connection by default, he would go to a single computer. When the connection is made with on the second track, he would go to the second computer.

Another thought, is that you will need to download a later version of connection desktop remotely (version 6.0 or later) so that XP can handle the incoming connection to Windows 7 that uses authentication NLA.

  • Not being able to have the remote desktop session ssh in putty

I have cisco ASA and I have configured the ASA to have connection remotely from remote offices as well.

I used the command ssh 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 outdoors where outside is my external interface in ASA.

But, whenever I try to access the ASA of PuTTY, I get this error "network connection closed unexpectedly server."

What can we do to solve this error and get access to the cli of my ASA.

In the same way I did for my GUI access in the ASA using the command

http 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 outside and I have the ASDM access that works well but not ssh.

I have to open the ssh ports using static nat and access list? Even the port check tool says that my port 22 is open.

  • How to establish a remote desktop connection?

    my place opperating

To whom it may concern, I recently had problems with my computer, I went to the HP website for more help. I was talking to the engineer on the phone or the person, I was helping me. After asking a few questions we could not solve my problem however, he asked me over the phone for my permission to enter my computer from his computer that he was home and solve the problem itself. He was able to take control of my computer to fix my problem.

Anyway, my father is an old man who only lives with me I live a couple 100 miles away from him. He had obtained a computer two years ago. I have myself worked on a computer on mine for 10 years I'm trying to help him when he called me on the phone better than I can, but it is very easily confused and has some good things down. My situation is that I can't drive because I am parapeliegic and I can't drive to his house. Therefore, it is very difficult for me to get down there to help.

So I ask, is possible that I can get into his computer to my site so that I can fix it for him.

Thank you for any suggestions you may have. Sincerely, Chris W.
