  When I try to open some Web sites, or connect to address secure (wttps) I get sec_error_bad_signature.

  Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  Try renaming the file cert8.db in the Firefox profile folder in cert8.db.old or remove the cert8.db file to remove the intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored.

  If it helped to solve the problem, then you can delete the renamed file cert8.db.old.
  Otherwise you can rename (or copy) the file cert8.db.old to cert8.db to restore previous intermediary certificates.
  Firefox automatically records the intermediate certificates when you visit Web sites that send such a certificate.

  If that didn't help then remove or rename secmod.db (secmod.db.old) as well.

  You cannot access some sites and get the message that they are a broken link.

  1 have you tried in Internet Explorer? If Yes, what is the exact error message that you receive in it? Also, what is the version of the browser?

  2 - is the issue limited only to these sites or it occurs with other sites as well?

  3. who is the Internet service provider (ISP)?

  If the problem occurs with all sites, while there might be a problem with the internet connection and I suggest you to contact the service provider.

  If the question is limited that to certain sites then I suggest you to refer to the section I can access some websites, but not all in the site:

  Hello I'm owner of BB BOLD 9900 OS 7.1... for the last two days I am facing a pretty annoying problem with the BB browser.

BECAUSE a default if the wifi is enabled, then the web browser MUST use internet wifi network carrier for navigation. YOU TUBE, FB and TWITTER.com all use my carrier netwrok to open bt soon I open BBC.com or CNN or any other site the wifi symbol appears on the right side and so it uses the wifi network... and disappears when I opened THE 3 SITES you tube FB n twitter.

  My knowledge is that when you activate THE wifi network, the WEB browser is intended to USE the wireless internet, NOT the internet carrier

  The next time I switchd off the the carrier signal, and then Turned ON one internet WI - FI and then opened the web browser of BB. so now all the opend website with wifi internet bt as soon as I open YOU TUBE or FB or TWITTER.com it post a comment... .that cannot visit the web page when the carrier is off.   Go to your service books and remove directories of service WAP browser in all directories of service WAP 3 I don't know the exact name, but all are related to the browser... WAP config something like dat... Just remove dem... .and HARD restart your fone... and try to use only wifi on your device with your carrier network off...

  mine worked... Let me know on urs... so now, the browser uses my wifi instead of my network provider when both are running...

  Hello, you can have present malicious addons. Please perform these steps:

  1. Reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. then go to the firefox menu

     

     > addons > extensions and where there are still extensions listed there, disable them.

  3. Finally, run a full scan of your system with security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to ensure that adware is not present in other parts of your system as well.
