Not able to print using the printer Brother HL-2270DW.

Original title: Brother HL-2270DW seems to install - appears in the form printer under devices and printers, but not work as printer and show that selection when printing the application,

I tried to install my Brother HL-2270DW.   It should work with the drivers included in Windows 8.   When I plug it into the USB port, it appears as a printer under devices and printers (it even has the right looking for the HL-2270DW icon.  However, it has not the printer properties or configuration options.  When I double click the icon, it opens the page of /brother HL-2270DW, with links to brother documents, solutions and other links online Center - nothing about the parameters of the printer.

In addition, it does not appear as an optional printer when I try to print from an application like Notepad.

I tried to install it as a network device, but I'm having problems with installing it as a kind of printer kernal.

I will not even try to set him up as a wireless device because my PC is connected to the network, and I don't have a spare wireless card to connect to it.
PS I also had difficulties to install another brother printer (one without a network and wireless, but it seems to settle after restarting a few.)  Not sure how it was resolved.   I was hoping that the HL-2270DW would have done the same thing.  Nope.

Hi Civbert,

Thanks for posting the request in the Microsoft Community.

It seems that the printer is installed but cannot be detected or used with applications.

    Activate printer F4580

I run Microsoft Vista.  I have a printer HP F4580.  I can print Microsoft Word and Excel documents, but I am not able to print from the web.  I get an error message that says: "Activation - Code 20' - error"Printer Not Activated".  What should I do to correct this?

    Hello

    ·          What browser do you use to connect to the Internet?

The error may occur if the wrong printer is set as default, the printer driver printer is missing, or if there are conflicts in Device Manager.

Step 1: Make sure that the desired printer is set as the default printer:

  • I am able to scan, but unfortunately not able to print on the printer DJ1515.

Original title: Do not print to the printer.

My DJ1515 printer after the success of the download, I was able to scan, but unfortunately not able to print. Need help how to solve this problem. Thank you

You need to provide a little more information... and it is unclear what you mean by "after successful download" even though I think you mean that you believe that you have successfully installed the printer.

Is your printer: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?cc=lamerica_nsc_carib&dlc=en&lang=en&lc=en&product=5385208 (this model seems to be sold in Latin America and the Caribbean)?

What version of Windows (XP Home, XP Pro, etc.) and service pack (none, 1, 2, 3) do you have?  Do right click my computer and select properties for info.

Your printer is connected to your computer by USB, correct?

When you installed the printer did you leave the printer NOT connected until you are prompted to connect by the installation software or did you first connect the printer to the computer and then install the software?

What happens when you try to print? If you get an error message, please provide the full text without paraphrase.

Please describe the status of the lights on the front of the printer (on/off/flashing).  Lights are on 1, 5 and 6 in the figure below:

Click Start > printers and faxes
Is there an icon for your printer?  If Yes, it looks like the following (except with the name of your printer instead of "hp Laser Jet 1300 PCL" 5th)?

    It's

    • Is there a circle with a check mark?
    • Is there a 0 in the second row?
    • The third line says 'ready '?

What happens if you right cliquer click on this icon, select properties and then click on the button "Print Test Page"?

What happens when you follow these steps:

    • Click Start > all programs > HP > HP Deskjet 1510 Series > Series HP Deskjet 1510 (note that the wording in your Start Menu may show instead of 1510-1515)
    • When the printer software opens, click on 'Print and scan' and then click on "maintain your printer.
    • When the printer Toolbox opens, click on 'Print the diagnostic information' in the tab 'device reports.
  • not able to print the value of the url (aaa #bbb)

    Hello

    I am not able to print the < cfoutput > #url.xyz # < / cfoutput >

Here, the url.xyz in the url value is aaa #bbb

    It is printing only aaa

You should have url-encoded query from the beginning chain. Given that you don't have, Coldfusion ignored everything in the query string that comes after the character #. To fix this, replace the character # % 23. . In other words, .

Another rule is that we should avoid the occurrence of the character # in a string. Thus, the correct value to cfoutput is "aaa ##bbb". To get and display code that is

    #url_xyz #.

Why am I not able to print pictures after having previewed in photo Windows Media Viewer

It is a Windows XP forum... you are using WIndows XP?

I don't know what you call Windows Media Photo Viewer.

In Windows XP's default Photo Viewer is Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer... and it has options of printing photos.

Try right click on a thumbnail of the photo or the name of the file and see if you
can choose... Open with / Windows Picture and Fax Viewer.
The print icon located at the bottom of the screen...

In addition, when you have a photo displayed in the Windows image and
Fax Viewer... you can type... CTRL + P to print the Photo
    Assistant.

Also, if you right click on a photo thumbnail or file name of the menu
    should include a print option.

    Hello

I found the answer to that by trawling for ever, it IS a HP PROBLEM, ARE YOU listening TO HP?

the fact is that the printer driver will agree that a system administrator to print from some programs, Adobe, Office, Wordpad there more, but if you apply this fix, they will print

go to the HEART control PANEL > USER ACCOUNTS > CHANGE USER ACCOUNT SETTINGS.

Drag the slider to the bottom never notify, and then restart your computer.

    works on windows 7

Indeed, you raise your account to an admin sys, but if HP has got their act together, they would sort this issue, because it is everywhere in their forums.

  • not able to connect to the database using the oracle instant client

    Hello

I am not able to connect to the database using the instant oracle from my local PC client. They use to connect to the database files and sqlnet.ora files LDAP.ora. If I want to test the connection, I found this executable tns wasn't there, so not able to tnsping. So I'm not able to solve this problem.

Please let me know if a solution for everything

Client Oracle: oracle 10.2bFAT client 32-bit

    Platform: windows 7 64-bit

    Thank you
    Veera

There is little that tnsping can do sqlplus can't.

    Instead of
    tnsping mydb.myorg.com
    Try
    sqlplus-s-L /@mydb.myorg.com
    or
    sqlplus-s-L user/[email protected]

    If you get
ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified
you know that the customer could not resolve 'mydb.myorg.com '.

    If you get
    ORA-12541: TNS:no listener
then "mydb.myorg.com" could be resolved, but there is no listener it running.

    If you get
ORA-12514: TNS:listener is not currently of service requested in connect descriptor
then "mydb.myorg.com" could be solved, the listener is in place, and the database is out of service.

    If you get
ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid. connection refused
you know that 'mydb.myorg.com' has been successfully resolved, and the database is running.

If you want more details, such as how and what "mydb.myorg.com" is resolved, turn the tracking by adding the following to "sqlnet.ora:
    TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT = ADMIN
    TRACE_DIRECTORY_CLIENT = C:\TEMP (a writable directory)

Then you will find lines like this in the trace file:

    -THE INFORMATION SOURCE PARAMETER FOLLOWS-
Attempt to load system pfile source C:\oracle\network\admin\sqlnet.ora
Source of the setting successfully loaded

Attempt to load the local pfile source C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\lanadvall\sqlnet.ora
The parameter source has not been loaded.

This shows you which configuration files are read, followed by the settings real read.

Here's how to set up Windows Fax and Scan: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Set-up-your-computer-to-send-and-receive-faxes.  Navigate the reference links on the right for more information on how to send faxes and other information.  If you do this on every page you just, you can see all the articles on how to fax and scan and configure the system and solve problems, and many other subjects that may be necessary, useful or informative.  After that, you must be an expert on this subject.

Here is a quick and easy way to send a fax in Vista: http://www.ehow.com/how_2029566_send-fax-vista.html.

Unfortunately, the foregoing is available in Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate - not Basic or Home Premium.  In the latter, you need a 3rd party program.  If this is the case, here are some options:

With the compliments of Bob F. http://www.vistax64.com/vista-print-fax-scan/127986-how-do-i-download-windows-fax-scan.html:

Not available in Vista Home Premium Basic FAX. It is available in complete edition,
    Extreme and business.

You might want to consider Snappy Fax at a low cost:
    http://www.snappysoftware.com/

or the free version of BVRP:
    http://www.usr.com/BVRP/bvrp.asp

or a full BVRP Classic Phone Tools 9: $29.90
    http://www.shop.Avanquest.com/USA/PR...S_CPT_homepage

Look screen kinda gross but the product Snappy fax
actually, is quite rich in features and works very well. BVRP also works very well,
screen looks a bit better. Other that that, there are minor differences
    performance between the two.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
