Not able to locate the Windows Media Player 12.
Original title: Windows Media Download? Do not find... disappeared
Recently, I had to do a check disk and a system restore. Back to the computer, I was able to locate the Windows Media Player 12 United Nations, I looked and looked and there was'nt even situated in the 'Windows features on and outside Tower' box. Then I got on the chat with microsoft and they sent me a link to dpownload it again once, however I downloaded it, and he kept saying "these updates are not compatible with your computer": even if I downloaded the correct link and also I'm aware of updates. Also, I tried to find the download on microsofts website and it says that the page is unavailable.
I was able to locate the media player in the C drive, but only fragments of it, I know its there somewhere and I was wondering if there was a way to access?
I don't want a response to "go to microsoft and redownload. I'm pretty crazy right now with people who post those.

I see the above error message when I try to update WMP. Windows 7 64-bit.
There is no update, but you should just get a dialog telling you that.
Is your Control Panel, Windows update works correctly? I guess that it is not. There are several current issues on Windows update does not work then search the forum for this if you don't think it's defective.

Satellite P200 - battery not charging everything by running Windows Media Player
Not sure if there is a specific problem of Toshiba, but my laptop does not charge while I run WMP. I have to close WMP, and then reconnect the power cable so that it can start loading. Also when the battery is less than 20%, it seems stop loading. I have to keep the withdrawal/re-connecting the power cable all the seconds until I get a proper load.
Any help?
Hello
I guess this question appeared not right the first time
Well, in my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that Windows Media Player is running, I think that it s a battery but problem is only my personal opinion. In my opinion you or your laptop technician must verify if the same thing would happen if one would use the new battery
See you soon

Can not download the update for Windows Media Player in order to play protected files
I am trying to download a digital copy of a movie. I am told:
You upgrade the Windows Media Player security components to play the files on your computer. Upgrade, please follow the instructions below:
- Step 1: Click here for the upgrade of security.
- Step 2: After the upgrade is complete, click on the button 'Next' below.
When I click on the link, it takes me to a page:
http://drmlicense.one.Microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp
It says to click on the upgrade button, but the upgrade button is not clickable. How can I download this update so I can get my digital copy? He says I'm in compatibility mode for Windows Media Player for windows 95. I hope this helps. Thanks in advance for your help :)

I had a problem with my hard drive and had to get it back. This might be the reason why my Windows media player is not where it should be? I looked in 'turn to windows features turn on or off' to see if it has been verified, and it was. Do I need an update?

Can not play .3gp files in windows media player
How can I play 3jjp may not work on my computer
Hello
Are you referring to the .3gp format?
You will need a codec to play the video file. A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use the codec to play and create digital media files.
Method 1 : you can check the link to see the guidelines on the issue.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/codecs-frequently-asked-questions
Method 2 : you can use the link and check if you get the necessary codec to download depending on the type of file, you try to read.
http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspxMethod 3 : you can also use your favorite search engine to download and install a codec based on the file type, you must use.

Hi Vijay, I was in conversation with a technical support through my library on this problem. They sent a lot of bugs yesterday but none of them worked either but today the found magic.
Here it is:
running of IE as an administrator
go to http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/indivsite/en/indivit.asp
Press F12 to enable Compatibility Mode
go to developer tools, and then click navigation Mode
Select "Internet Explorer 10 compatibility view
This will allow the button update to Windows Media Player
And now everything works fine! Thanks, Vijay!
