I recently bought the new HP Photosmart 5510 all in one - and I am not able to scan from my printer to my computer.
I am however able to scan by launching the scan of the computer. I talked to HP customer earlier this evening and we ran printing + scan doctor and can't find any problems.
I am running Windows 7-64 bit and that you have installed my wireless printer using the Installation CD supplied with the printer today.
I could not finish troubleshooting with the technician that I talked to because I had to go to work. The person that I spoke with proposed possibly the full functionality of software downloaded from the hp.com site, which I'm happy to do, but I think that it is useless, because I have the CD of installation here. (The rep that I talked to was very nice, but I prefer not to have to uninstall and reinstall if it is not necessary)
Because as I mentioned above, everything works perfectly and I am able to scan - but not directly from the printer itself.
When I try to scan from my printer to my computer an error message appears on the control panel of the printer indicating that: there is no scan destination options of analysis chosen / no..
However, I can't find anywhere with my HP software where I could add / make sure that the destinations were there. (As I could on my other printers. (IE. By the solution Center)
This printer does not appear to be a solution center that I could find and the scanner installed with the CD icon doesn't give me any options regarding changing the settings of the parser
I wonder:
1. the Hp Photosmart 5510 does not have the capacity to scan from the printer control panel?
2 OR the CD installation provided with my printer only has the base drivers as the agent of tech support suggested? Which means to scan from my printer I need to download drivers for your hp Web site?
3. or is the problem because of something else entirely?

Follow the steps below to uninstall and reinstall the printer.
1. open Control Panel
2. click on uninstall a program
3 uninstall the Photosmart 6510 in the list
4 restart your computer
5. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

6 download the drivers and full software functionality, and then reinstall the printer.

and their drivers. Check with HP support, their documentation online
and drivers and ask in their forums.Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

Not able to scan with the preview after upgrade from Mac OS Sierra...
After upgrading to Mac OS Sierra. I'm unable to use the preview to scan. Before this upgrade, it worked fine. The HP scanner software does NOT work something like OS 10.8 or 10.9. Preview worked perfectly so far. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, your contribution will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Have you tried scanning with Capture of Image instead? It worked for me.

I have a HP Officejet 6500 printer wireless (E710Nn a - z), I bought two a month ago. I used the original disc to configure my laptop as the main computer. Then I got smart and said: I wonder if it would work wireless if I unplugged the printer from my computer. Well, as you probably know, it does not work like that. I connected the computer to the printer and everything works fine except that I can't scan a document and save it on my computer or by e-mail. AND in the meantime, I can't find the original disc. I know it's here somewhere, but I can't. Is there anyway that I can do to get my laptop and my printer to work together for scanning?

I am not able to scan with my HP Deskjet 3050.
When I installed the printer HP Deskjet 3050 3 months ago, it worked fine, but now it only gives me even the queue to analyze. So in my case there is no error pops up because I can't question analyze them. If I try to scan directly from the device, it says not found computer. The printer works fine. It is connected to the network and wireless is good also. Convenience store was of no help. I reinstalled and it still does not work. Any suggestions? I would be very pleased them. Thank you

Server. Both are on the same domain. I also have Windows XP, 7, Vista and Linux
machines on the same network. They are all able to print. The only one who does
not working is a Windows XP client. This machine has also win 7, Vista installed
on different hard drives. they are able to print to shared printers. I have
cammot access to a printer by using the UNC path. I can see the shared
printers in Favorites network but I can not connect. If I use the add printer
Wizard to add a network printer, the printer appear in the book: but
Yet once, they will not connect the error message I get is:
"Unable to add the printer connection. Either the typed wsa printer name
incorrctly, or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server. »
I checked the permissions for the priners and I am logged in as one
administrator when I try to add the printer. I also checked the group policy and
everything seems to be oK. I also deleted and added the printer to the
Server, that I managed to install them as local printers on the affected XP machine
using the \\server_name\printer_share_name port. The priner name and the
share name are the same for each printer. They have all worked last week that
network printers. I'm curious to know what is causing this weird behavior. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
