Not active blackBerry Smartphones browser

Well, the title says barely enough. So I'll just paste what I send to Telstra.

--------

I recently bought a blackberry bold 9000 flea market. He is originally a telstra device (it is covered with logos of Telstra and started there the telstra boot screen). I bought a man in New Zealand, who himself bought the person who has had on your network, in order to find the original owner information are almost impossible.

I went through several mobile operators (including several who are experts of blackberry) and they think that the browser itself is to be routed through and blocked by Telstra. We think that if you could release the blackberry PIN to RIM (research in motion, the manufacturer) that then WHAT NZ Telecom could get it completely and if the browser can open.

I just want to know if the unique blackberry PIN is still connected to your business.

Here's the email I sent on BOARD:

Hello
Okay, so I recently bought a used blackberry bold 9000, and the browser will not start.

I have the code numbers PIN and IMEI registered to me with the my current provider (telecom new zealand), also as a precautionary measure I updated the OS to my carrier brand version 5.0.0.592 (bundle 1004, platform 5.2.0.57), (this is the latest version my carrier is supported).

I have a blackberry data plan and local telecommunications and support blackberry services are a loss of what is wrong.

It is interesting things to note that when connected to a wireless connection (wi - fi) with internet access, many of the applications can also access the internet. For example, bolt, the free mobile browser, can surf the internet, but only in the range of a wi - fi network. Another thing is that I can successfully send and receive emails via my gmail account, even if not connected to a wi - fi network, calls and SMS work also. I am not connect to any server of the company, the VPN settings are disabled, the APN settings are on direct.telecom.co.nz with whites for the user name and the password. I tried to remove and return the service books several times (each time followed by a 'hard reset'). I tried to wipe the device several times. Option dataservices in the mobile network options menu is turned on, is a reading as correct carrier and is set to the right of the network mode (3G & 2 G).

The browser option, under Advanced options, which is in turn in the menu options, has only a single parameter, "the default browser configuration:" which shows a space empty and does not have the ability to change.
The browser icon not anywhere, apart from the menu "switch application", and this is how I tried to open it so far. I am aware that there should be an icon of browser on the home page or at least in the main menu.

The exact error that says that.

"Your device not currently has any browser Configuration Service entries in the directory.
Contact your service provider to enable the browser on your device. »

As I said earlier, talk to the service desk of the company and to their office to support blackberry cannot find a short solution 'buy a newone', who, as a student, I just can't afford to do. If there is anything you can suggest that I do, I will do it gladly.

TL; DR: Browser does not work, everything else is...

Yes, I was beginning to think that myself.

However!

Following another completely different thread, I found something on the parameters of the business, thinking that this may be something to destroy my chances, I followed the advice of method three of KB14202, given by er2joe in this thread. After the factory reset (I thought I did), it works!

THIS MARKET!

... Sorry, after about a month of the ringtone desperately everyone I could think of, check all of the forums for things to do with browsers. And all we needed was for me to post something and fall on each other while you wait for a response.

(I think that the local telecom shop employees all know me now by first name)

I love you guys.

  • Not have blackBerry smartphones to connect to internet

I realized that my phone is unable to connect to the internet, even if I am able to send and receive emails from my phone and my wifi connection is fine. I tried to take the battery, return service directories to my phone and I also went to the registry option in the host routing table but does not change every time that I try to use the Web browser. It loads for a while and then the message "unable to connect to the internet, try again later appears. Is there anything else I should do? Thank you!

Hello and welcome to the community!

From your post, I can't tell if you do them in the order required... or know if every successful step as they should before moving on to the next step. So, with a strong carrier signal AND your WiFi radio OFF, I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support... After all, it's their network with which your BB is to have trouble communicating.

    Good luck!

  • Images of text may not of blackBerry Smartphones

This new 9350 curve of love. Coming from a droid to Samsung Galaxy S, it's such an improvement.

The curve is fine except that I can't send a picture in a text.

I can email them, send to Twitter and Facebook but no texting.

All text without images work fine. It is kind of a big deal for me as I do a lot.

    Any ideas?

Sprint is the carrier. I have the plan.

    Thank you

"Everything" is a marketing term, not something technical on what services you actually have of them (not all the "Everything" plans are created equal!). And, if you pay them for this service, they are not of it.

  • Data not updated blackBerry Smartphones when inactive phone

    Hi all

Recently, I removed my main of my device e-mail address while he is on vacation.

I just put back it, but now I find that data (emails and BBM) are not updated when the phone was in bag for awhile.

If I put myself in response to or sending emails or BBM of unit all starts update again and all emails in circulation and BMMs come out at the same time.

Everything working the normal flow is restored, but after being in the Pocket for awhile everything stops again.

    Any ideas?

I noticed the problem when I started getting these archaic messages called SMS asking me why I do not answer to my BBM... naturally the idea of not receiving them is scaring me senseless!

    Kind regards

    Erik

Hi and welcome to the forums!

We need to know what version of the software on your device.

Check the version of operating system of the device, and then use the correct steps to register your device. Basically, you refresh your network connection and the software to control the connection on your device.

    Thank you

  • Passwords in browser not displaying blackBerry Smartphones

I have a BlackBerry Torch 9800 and recently I had a problem with the words on the screen of the browser does not.  I have not modified parameters or downloaded all the programs I can think of that would have caused the problem.  It mainly effects words having a hypertext link, but some pages is not any type at all.

Start with a battery pull.  That's where you remove your battery when your phone is turned on, then replace.  It's good to solve many little glitches like this.

I hope that helps you.  If it is not, please post back and we'll look at possible solutions.

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser does not open when you click on it!

So I just got the storm (great phone btw), the first thing I decided to do is to download the mobile app of facebook. As I tried to download it, it seemed that my phone had frozen. So after a bit of waiting time, I pushed the Finish button. I received two error messages (don't remember now) and that's it. As soon as I tried to open my browser once again, he did not open and has not opened since. I tried to restart the blackberry - nothing.

Just to clarify, I can select and click on the browser, but it does not open. Any ideas on what I can do?

    You rebooted the BB how?

To do this: with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

Try again and let us know.

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser does not open

My internet browser does NOT open. I took out the battery, checked my internet and all settings and NOTHING will open my browser. Any ideas on what to do?

Menu-> e-mail settings.   Connect under the existing user and click on the 'Books of Service' link and click on "send Service books.   I hope that you get.

You can do this from the site Web de Blackberry, but my link is for Verizon and I'm not sure if I can post links on this forum or not.  Try your BB and see if it works.

My BB was to hang on for a day last week, so I went back to the store for service and 3 days later they msn me and told me that I have a new phone for the replacement.  I thought that the problem I had before must be solved, but it didn't!

    I found 2 problems:

    (1) I had problem with browser before and this "new phone" have the same problem! (I don't think that they replace a new phone for me - I think they replace that box)

Error: error HTTP 400: bad request - the server could not understand the page request, or was not able to process for some reason any. Try to connect to another page"

    (2) BB Apps world - he was working before I sent the legacy to the store for service, but now this 'new phoen"will not work and the error message on the display: you need to upgrade this version of BB App World to contiune - then I click 'Download' after 30 seconds then I got the same error HTTP 400 error message :...

    Advise would be great

    Thank you

This is an error that is associated with a BES phone.  Basically, it means that the phone belongs to the company of the person and the company that controls the functions of the phone.

What is a personal phone or that of your work?  If one of your employer, show the tech Department article:

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser does not open and the screen is frozen

I got my flashlight for about a week and it is very buggy. First of all it sometimes hangs when I try to open the browser. Other programs work perfectly once I hit escape a few times, but the browser does not work again until I upgrade or downgrade the OS. I keep having to go down and upgrade that takes forever to get my browser to work. Also the phone goes into sleep mode, even though I have it set to 20 seconds for backlight turns off.  Third problem I have with the phone is they continue to tell the browser how advanced is that it will not always support the Flash even if Blackberry has partnered with Adobe. I regret buying a torch instead of a droid.

Start by doing a battery pull - with the machine on, remove the battery and wait 15 to 30 seconds before reinserting.  Then just wait for the device to reboot.  This should solve at least some of the problems you encounter.

As for Flash, it is supposed to happen, however it is simply not yet available.  I hope that Adobe will have this ready to go shortly.  As for Flash on the Droid, as a heads up, I heard not so positive things here.  Apparently, there are a lot of bugs, and it is far from an ideal configuration.  I hope that Adobe will fix Flash for Android and I hope we'll get a decent work for the BB version before long.

    I hope that info helps!

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser will not work

Noticed today that the browser fails to open. I always get the email and can use bbm and Facebook updates come, but no browser.

It opens on a black screen with links to help etc, but who does not either because you need a browser.

Any idea on what could be the problem? I can't update anything because I need the browser to perform the update.

Old trick in the book, and I don't. I just assumed it was something else.

    Thanks J!

  • BlackBerry smartphone browser does not open and my screen freezes

Hi, I do not know what I did to desreve, perhaps bum composed a few setting changes?

When I select my browser, it does not open and blocking my screen. When I try and open my google app

It gives me a search screen, but when I search something it blocks on the screen.

My google maps screen seems to work but have lost my friends and their locations of Lattitude.

When the screen is locked, I can't do anything with buttons or icons. I have to select the "red phone" icon

    to unlock the screen...

    Helpp!  any ideas?

The best thing to do when such strangeness slips into your phone is a battery pull.  Remove the battery while your phone is on, then replace it a few seconds later.

If your problem persists after trying that, let us know and we will try something else.

    Hello and welcome!

Have you tried a hard reboot battery-pop? With power ON, pop in the battery. Wait a minute, then reinsert the battery and replace the cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long long long restart the process (as long as 10 minutes). See if it clears. Like all computing devices, a restart may be a healthy thing.
