• I have some coherent questions after update of Firefox that I've not been able to solve.

  My problems come in a bundle and are present or absent, according to the last update. Issues appeared at the start of the madness of quick update (which was very close to me turned to Firefox). Problems remained in line with a number of updates for a few months and then were fixed. They reappear then a certain number of months.   Try to start Firefox in safe mode. This mode disables all extensions, customizations, hardware acceleration, etc., temporarily for the diagnosis and troubleshooting. If Firefox works fine in Safe Mode, then it is probably a problem with the add-on. Restart Firefox in normal mode, and then type "subject: addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions, restart Firefox between each one, until you find the troublemaker.

  The issue of not being able to reopen after closing Firefox is usually caused by an add-on that is faulty. safe mode is an easy way to tell if this is the case.

MS Word also displays goobblys when the file has no file extension.

  If you use the file printing, then you will get a file that is supposed to be sent to a printer, and this file has any sort of code formatting for this printer.

  Open such a file in Firefox or a text editor can only work if you use one printer for text to print the file to, then make sure that such a printer is installed and selected.

  You really need to do is save all your user data.

  If you back up all your Firefox profile on an external device your Firefox app would be protected. Bookmarks are a great asset, but what are your passwords, your options, your extensions, etc.

  You can export your bookmarks to an HTML file on a USB key and access almost anywhere on any browser without installing it on a borrowed system.
