  • Could not get a sound device QED uplay.

    Original title: qed uplay

Hello. I use Windows 7 64-bit. I bought a bluetooth dongle to connect to a device of QED uplay. To listen to the music from your computer on my stereo.

Drivers for the dongle seems good work, and the computer recognizes the QED uplay as a headphone unit to listen I guess that's the closest it will get - but no sound of music from the stereo. Do I need to install drivers for the QED unit? Although the QED unit is registered in page units and printers, it is not available as a player unit in the sound properties. What should do? -Aimablement

    Hi LasseFurdal,

This problem can occur if the device of QED uplay is not defined as device by default.

I suggest you to set the default device as QED uplay device and check if it helps.

    a. go to Start and click on Control Panel.
    b. click on her, then a new window will open.
    (c) in the new window click on the tab 'read' and right click on the window. d. click Show disabled devices.
    e. check if the speaker or headset is listed here.

    f. right - click top and select Activate.
    g. highlight the headset (QED uplay device) and click on "set as default".

Hope this information helps. Answer the post with an up-to-date issue report to help you further.

    Hey GRANDMAMOM,

What is the number and the model of your helmet?

A few tests mentioned below should help to determine where the problem lies.

Now given that the sound on the computer works correctly, the problem lies with the plug headphones, misconfiguration or the helmet itself. Please check if the headset runs on another computer. If it works, it means that the problem lies in your computer and not the headphones. Or otherwise, if you have a spare helmet, test it on your computer. If it works, then the headphone jack works correctly. Please post the report back so that we can further consider this issue.

  • Does she not get the restored properly - Windows Vista Edition family

I did a backup on 2 of vdv - that, once accomplished was reported as successful. Now, I have restored my laptop to factory settings since she was infected. When I use the Center backup and restore and Advanced Restore option - files from a backup made on a different computer - then the hard drive. He starts the backup asking if some files or all - I choose all files in the backup. It then proceeds...

I got the c# edition installed with which came the SQl-whiel restore the backup of the ih said there is problem with the authorization of users for SQL 2 related records - I click on go come without affecting the rights of the user. In this case 2 times.

In the meanwhiel, it shows a lot of files being restored in the progress bar. Then he gives erroe that the label of the disc in the drive is not 1 user-Pc-DateofBackup-disk name where as the disk name is the default name assigned when the backup is performed, which is the name of user-Pc-DateofBackup (may not be the suffix of disc 1).

Then I choose the option ignore this and drive 2-, it gives the same error...

When I check - I find a lot of files is restored, but they contain no data/files.

    Help, please.

Here is an article on the restore procedure: http://www.vista4beginners.com/How-to-restore-files to make sure you do this right.  It's a selective restore of a full or selective backup (not a full restore from a full backup) - but since you did a full backup, it matches your processes more closely than would a full restore (which is not available in Vista Home anyway).

This is a GREAT article on the backup and restore processes in Vista http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2007.09.backup.aspx , but he won't go into detail about the restoration process - considering almost as easy, of course.  But it teaches you a lot about what is possible and how to do it.

Here is an article on the advanced use of restoration (during normal restore does not work): http://www.mayankraichura.com/post/2009/08/06/Avdvanced-Restore-via-Windows-Vista-Backup-and-Restore-Center.aspx.

I also found the following (but don't know if it of true or not):

    1. after the start of "backup and Restore Center."

    2. I chose "Advanced Restore"

    3. I was did not an administrator password... maybe because my account is an administrator account.

4 choose "files from a backup made on a different computer.

    5. in the dialog box indicating "Select the location of the backup to restore", select "hard drive, CD or DVD...". »

    6. under the drop-down list box, select your drive/partition and continue

    7. If all the backups on your drive, it will show a list of them.

    8. in my case, he showed a backup, but in the backup location, it will show "backup location is not available."

    9. I was frustrated, but then I somehow just select this backup (Yes... even if he said that the backup location is not available " ")

    10. and you press "next".

    11 guess what... no error!

    12. a window appeared asking me if I wanted to do a full restore, or I want to select specific folders or files.

    13. I selected the folders I wanted to restore and bingo... it their restored smoothly.

    14. so that the next time see a mistake, try to continue with him... ;)

I don't know if this will help, but it does not provide much information about the process (when it works).  I hope you find any error or discrepancy in your procedure and it will clear up and allow you to restore.

    I hope this helps.
