  Hey Cody. Thanks for your reply. I think I may have misunderstood Andre's initial response. In the meantime, I think I solved my problem. When I was invited to install the update again once I started doing that and then 'cancelled' after he began to try to install it. When I right click it (the update), while it is in this state of limbo the ability to 'hide' appeared magically in the selection box and I was able to chose him.
