Not remote desktop connection to use saved credentials

Even if I clicked on "Edit" and put in my credentials Windows 7 Remote Desktop connection not automatically uses it.
The checkbox 'always ask for credentials' is NOT checked.
When I connect to other Windows clients on the target computer even their saved credentials are used properly.
Is this a bug of Windows 7 Desktop connection remote or I do something wrong?

Hi Rawsome,

Thanks for posting of ' Getting Ready for Windows 7»

Here is an excerpt from a remote help desk and how to make the article can help see the process as it is activated.

To connect to a remote computer that computer must be turned on, it must have a network connection, Remote Desktop must be enabled and you must have access to the network to the remote computer (this could be through the Internet), and you must have permission to connect. For permission to connect, you must be on the list of users.

Have you tried to change the settings of the remote computer?

1.

Open Desktop connection remote by clicking Start , all programs, Accessoriesand then clicking Remote Desktop connection.

2.

Before connecting, click Options, and then make the changes you want in the display of local resources, programs, experienceand Advanced tabs.

NoteTo save these settings for future connections, on the general tab, click Save.
3.

Click connect.

Please let us know if this helps you or if assistance is needed.

  • Remote Desktop connection requires the password when I did not

I use Remote Desktop Connection to connect to my Windows 7 PC to computers with Windows XP employees. To do this, I need to put the credentials of the computer XP (name of login and password). • Cannot print using Remote Desktop connection

I have a computer that we will called XP. XP was XP loaded on this subject. It is on a home network with ethernet etc. It has a USB Samsung CLP315 printer attached to it, which we will call SAMSUNG.  XP print SAMSUNG without any problem. SAMSUNG is shared and has the latest drivers.

    Configuration on XP
    Pilot # is 3.04.85:44
Port: USB001 virtual printer for USB Port
Sharing installed additional drivers Intel environment Windows 2000 or XP

Using Remote Desktop connection, I connect to my computer at work, that we will call the WORK that has Windows 7 above and is part of a local network. When you use Word for example on WORK, I should be able to print on SAMSUNG on XP. However SAMSUNG on XP does not present as a printer available. However, I can print from JOB printers shared on the local network or locally connected. Unfortunately, it is of limited use to me because I can not physically get the printed paper, or to know if the printed page correctly until the next day, I get to work.

I have the Settings Options on the remote desktop connection when I connect XP to WORK remotely. I think that this complies with the info I found on the knowledge base.

On the general tab, I have the correct name of the computer and user. I have "allow me to save credentials" deselected.

Local "resources" tab, "materials and resources local printers" and "Clipboard" are selected. Under 'More', 'smart cards' and 'Cards series' are selected. Similarly 'Readers' and 'Supported peripheral Plug - n Play' and their subitems are all selected.

    Tab programs not specified

If there is other information in the options that may be relevant, please advise and I will detail later.

Already XP used to via the desktop connection to remotely connect to another computer to WORK which took place of XP. When I'd do things on the WORK and wanted to print with SAMSUNG on XP, SAMSUNG has shown on the list of available printers and would print WORK jobs

On the local network at the office, WORK is connected and print to a shared printer on a computer showroom (XP) which is identical to the SAMSUNG for model # and driver. So by my way of thinking, the driver is already loaded and functioning.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi, Robert Allen,.

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community Forum.

According to the description, you have a user facing problems with multiple pop accounts and rdp credentials when the connection / disconnection of a domain.

Since the problem is associated with multiple pop accounts and rdp credentials when the connection / disconnection of a domain, the question you posted would be better suited for the IT Pro on TechNet public. I would recommend posting your query in the TechNet Forums to get help:

  • I have a new server and you cannot use Remote Desktop connection.

I HAVE A NEW SERVER (HP ML110 G6) AND HAVE USED OLD HARD DISKS, BUT MY REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION WILL NOT ME OR OTHERS - WHAT COULD THE REASON BE?

    Hello

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

The problem can also be caused by your security such as anti-virus program or a firewall of Windows /Defender that can have conflicting parameters as to not not to perform certain tasks. I suggest you temporary disable antivirus and firewall and check the result again. You must activate new security that you was disabled programs.
    Disable the antivirus software:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software

May also need to do this on other computers as well.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • using windows Remote Desktop connection 7 to vista

I bought a laptop with windows 7 and I would like to know how I can remote control my Office Home premium windows vista in my laptop with windows 7.  I read that windows vista does not allow the conections using the remote desktop connection tool.

is the different way to connect to my vista to windows 7, when I'm away from home?

It can be done in certain versions of Vista, but not in all.  The ability is disabled by default.  Here's how to set it to the top and also explains in which versions it works:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/turn-on-remote-desktop-in-windows-vista/.  Unfortunately, Home Premium is not included.

  • Use of material connected to the remote computer during remote desktop connection session?

I use Remote Desktop Connection a lot, and I mean... A lot. In addition to managing workstations without having to leave my desk, I started to run to the House to make use of the desktop computer powerful in the room without having to get up from the couch and laptop.

However, I began to discover that far, I had to connect to the desktop computer to complete a task. An example is the computer that I'm controlling from the living room does not burn a disc. I can go stick a disc in the drive... but for some reason when I'm logged in from the outside, programs can't find the hard drive.

Another thing I just tried... (... and before you think 'kinky'...) Just know that I think 'Security'... lmao), was to see the web cam (Microsoft LifeCam). Unfortunately just like the hard disk, the program says "connect the webcam to the computer.

I guess the reason for this is to integrate the local hardware of controller in the session remotely... but whatever the reason, is there a way for me to operate the hard drive and the webcam to the computer, I'm connected during a session remotely with Remote Desktop Connection?

    Thanks :)
