Not satisfied with Lenovo warranty

I have a Lenovo Y530 bought new by Lenovo. Last week, I noticed several bright spots on my screen. I instantly thought of pixel problems. But later the technician by telephone reported a few broken LED? So he has arranged for me to send the laptop to a repair depot. Little, I didn't know a few days later a Lenovo technician called and said that my laptop needed a screen.

The other surprise was I have to pay for this $180! The technician said that the screen has been damaged by abuse. Although I never had the laptop out of the House and as says my daughter. Never do you anything like that to your laptop. If it was mine which would be different. I tell you I'm very angry because I know that nothing happened to the laptop. I increased the request for review, but if they reject it I guess I'm on a laptop 6 months old, because I refuse to pay $180 for a screen that obviously has a defect.

I just let people know that the warranty means nothing even if your computer shows absolutely no signs of violence. If they do not trouble so it attaches. I'm really sorry, that I paid for the extended warranty now. I'll remember next time. If it ends badly, there is no way I will never buy another Lenovo.

Just to update on my warranty status. Finally, after 7 days, I received notice that my laptop could be repaired under warranty. The customer support person could not say specifically what could be repaired, but said the screen and/or all of the top panel with screen would be replaced. Mind you, they have received my laptop for repair the 10.

What amazes me is how Lenovo is able to maintain a market share of business with this type of service. Although I suspect that their consumer line get less quality service then the business done. I certainly have the feeling of first-hand. This experience has certainly not wanting to buy another product from Lenovo. Indeed, although the customer service indicated that my laptop would be repaired and shipped to me by Thursday or Friday (21/22) I have yet to receive confirmation or a tracking number.

  • Not satisfied with the update on Itunes

    Why would I only see a mosquito net on an ipad where the objective of an iPad is to see more clearly that of an iPhone.  You have removed all the space to choose my songs, now I don't see my full song titles and screen cut vertically in half with the space wasted on the left hand of the screen under the song now cover photos that is not necessary.  I love the big buttons, so I continue to press the button music instead of break.  Congratulations on to change this.

    My friend has a X 200 and I find that the brightness is decent, its actually more brilliant than my Tecra.

    The thing is with laptops, they rarely match the brightness of the external screens because of the limitations of power, so if you need a super bright screen, an option would be to use an external monitor. 22 '' monitors are quite cheap nowadays :)

    Otherwise, you just do the following to get a maximum brightness:

    (1) use alternating current
    (2) to increase the brightness of the screen at 100%
    (3) use the nVidia Control Panel to change the contrast
    (4) increase the luminosity in the games (if that's what its used for)
    (5) reduce the light of the day and the lighting in your room

    Unfortunately the LCD have a personal connection, so it would be difficult to replace with a brighter LCD screen.

    BSODS can happen always. In most cases, it could be a software related issue, but of course it could also be a hardware problem. If the BSOD will always appear, then you should get in touch with a local ASP.

  • El Capitan not satisfied with the whole process

    Have been many attempts to upgrade to El Capitan in Yosemite on my Mini Mac compatible (I'm in Australia) - incredibly slow downloads and many just do not download completely, eventually got downloaded and upgraded. I have continuous problems have the custom of Mini stop, all items on the desktop disappear, and it's like that. I tried to leave, but no change even after two hours. I used the command shutdown on the terminal sudo and which works very well, but it's from get as old Windows machines having to intervene in the simple operating system shutdown process. A sad, it's either that the El Capitan is not supported by my audio interface, Avid, which is now useless and forced me to buy a compatible interface.

    A general gripe is that when I bought the Mac Mini, he ran the Cougar and ran beautifully with not the slightest hiccups all worked wonderfully. Then, I upgraded to the Mavericks and had Wifi regularly do not activate at startup from sleep, Safari not stopping sometimes, then finally went to Yosemite and ended up with the boring flat dock, always intermittent WiFi slow to start sleep, as well as the Mini seemed slower at startup and slower to close some programs.     The most recent OS versions are maximized to run better on new hardware: faster processors, better cards graphics, etc, etc. You also need an absolute minimum of 4 GB of RAM - 8 is much, much better - or your computing experience will not be perfect.

    If your audio hardware is not compatible, and if you have a full backup (bootable clone would be easier), you can return it if you wish.

  • Headphone jack on the ThinkPad Edge works not properly with Lenovo 57Y4488 headphones

    Bought 57Y4488 which are earphones thinkPad.

    When it is plugged into a socket of headset ThinkPad Edge that the microphone does not work.

    Works very well if connected to a ThinkPad SL410.

    Tried with two different sets of ThinkPad earphones and two of the various ThinkPad Edge laptops. Unfortunately, I bought my headphones over a month so there cannot send their return.

    I was able to make them work if I plug it into a logitech usb connector.

    I don't know if the problem is the conector on the earphones or headphones on the ThinkPad Edge connector.

    Just worked on it. It's a windows 7 setting. By default it does not seem to support taking combo until its installation in windows through advanced audio setting.

    I downloaded a vector file to use some basic elements for a logo design to try to save time because I am providing drafts for the customer; However at the opening of the actual .ai file that I found it was built very awkwardly and is basically impossible to use except exactly as it was designed. There are several odd spaces and pieces 'patched up' so when I try to change the color or scale, I find myself with parts or gaps in the design that overlap.     So I try to contact the customer service team, but there is no any direct e-mail contact, only forum and phone number, no cat. I post in the forum and that answer only Member me, not the adobe staff.

    "I have a new Toshiba laptop with a valid European warranty, laptop broke down with a HW error on graphic card / display, so I contacted Toshiba UK request to fill the European warranty, the Envoy me ' some self called expert PC" which is the local expert refused to service my laptop and fulfill its contract with toshiba , but after that I refused to accept his totally ridiculous and likely completely illegal terms where there were literally pushing me to relinquish my rights guaranteed by law!

    Above all what probably makes it on a large scale, is the worst that anyone should be well aware, is that they ask the complete product, i.e. including * hard drive with all your data and in the service contract you sign who can erase your data and that you agree on that *.

    Transfer of real meaning when you buy toshiba products and it brokes down, you can either get free warranty service and possibly lose all your data or you will have to pay for the service by you own on product warranty... nice cheat!

    Generally if your warranty is valid, (Toshiba laptops, PC all-in-One, netbooks and tablets are covered at least 1 year standard warranty, valid from the date of purchase)
    all hardware issues must be fixed in terms of warranty and of course free.

    To be honest, it is nothing unusual, and sounds like a common procedure.
    The point is that the technician must recover the laptop using Toshiba Image factory (recovery disk) in order to set the camera back to the factory settings.
    During the process of recover the drive HARD will be formatted and deleted data.

    So very important to backup the data before this procedure!

    I think that this information and the details on the recovery media as well as the recovery process are in the user manual. So if you created the recovery disc in the past, you must back up the data before using the recovery disk.

  • Not happy with the Satellite L650 - dysfunctions always

    This is the third time this year I hadmy laptop fail.
    He had 2 hard drives and replaced PCB. Then a display problem has been occurring intermittently for some time and now that the point of being unusable.

    I just realized that the reason for problems with my graphics applications have been all along because of the faulty GPU. I lost a lot of time trying to make this machine to work with countless and frustration and restore blue screen according to the factory State.

    I have no confidence in this product, I do not store anything on the hard drive, cannot use it to work just in case it goes bad again. I reached the point of being completely satisfied with this product that I have absolutely no confidence in its quality and reliability.

    I had a failure I'm afraid to use it for something else only to e-mail and internet. It is totally unacceptable and cannot continue. When I bought this machine, I trusted reputation and name of Toshiba. It was a big mistake.

    I would like Toshiba to reassess this product either refund my money or provide me with a new laptop replacement that works. I have a product that has lost hours of my time and is a source of sorrow and frustration. Basically, it cost me a lot of money because of the time lost trying to make it work. I got it with this camera and I'm not happy to go through another round of repairs. I bought a new machine and ended up with a loser of second hand.

    I plan to take this case as a result of the Department of Consumer Affairs, I've reached my limits with this unreliable machine. It is the worst computer I have ever owned.

    (P.S. I have another identical machine that works without any problem). Lemon law applies to laptops?
