Not the users and groups folder under computer management

Original title: no access to users and groups in Windows 8 Pro

Right click on computer, select Manage

There is no option in the management of the computer!

WHY? How to view?
Thank you
Hi Johnny,.

Looks like you are unable to get users and groups under computer management.

I would like to gather information to help you:

(1) how do you try to locate users and groups under computer management?
(2) you are able to view other folders in the same section?
(3) don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

I suggest you to check if the steps will help you to locate users and groups folder under Computer Management:

(a) Windows and X set button, and then select computer management.
(b) double click on system tools.
(c) click on local users and groups.
(d) check if you are able to find users and groups folder.

  • How can I remove comments from the users and groups

I have my in my users and groups in the system preferences a user snd invited another user

    How can I remove them

Go to Preferences system-> users and groups, and then press the lock to allow you to change the settings. Then choose 'user comments' in the sidebar and uncheck "Allow clients to connect to this computer". This will not make this option disappear, but after that you will not be able to use the Guest user.

«Respect for the other user, simply choose it in the sidebar and press on the '-' button.» Make sure that no one uses this user.

There should be a date of creation. You could do a larger than the piece of timestamp in your query.

  • Local users and groups is missing from computer management

I can't find the local users and groups folder in computer management. He is absent.

    Hello

Advanced management tools are only available in the Windows 8 Pro version. It seems that you have the standard version of Windows 8. Windows and Windows 8 RT have local users and groups with disabilities.

You can also check the wire and check.

  • Additional portal for creating users and groups in OBIEE.

    Good afternoon everyone

We are facing a situation where a resource by another company needs to create and manage their own users who will access OBIEE.

That means that for the moment we have create users in Weblogic, but we cannot provide the resource with access to weblogic due to many other services running in the Weblogic causing a safety hazard.

My question: is there another way, we can provide access to this resource through a portal that will only be able to manage the users and groups that will access OBIEE and not be able to view all other settings?

    Hi Benoit,.

Cool, can you close the thread if it is right for you? Currently, it is still marked as

    This issue is no answer.

If you have detailed follow-up questions (which I think you will to the BISQLProviders) you can make a custom thread and we will deal with this matter else on its own.

  • How to export users and groups Active Directory of hyperion shared services

    Hello

We are on 11.1.2.3 and in a situation where we need to export all users and groups of shared services, including the native directory and Active Directory users and groups.

Current method of LCM export only the NativeDirectory user and groups. -is this correct?

Is there a way to export all users and groups including NativeDirectory and ActiveDirectory?

    Please suggest.

    Thank you

I don't think that there is a way to make the groups and users to the AD, and I wouldn't.

You need to connect the next AD system and pull on the users and groups in this way.

  • Right users and groups cannot be found

    Hey all,.

I have a problem with a gentle version of the last vCAC and when it comes to adding users and groups to the rights, I find it is blindly with the users and groups that it is and that it allows me to add even if I used some of the users and groups for other configurations and it worked properly just seems to be the right that really gives me worth.  Anyone seeing this and if so what did you do to go beyond that?

    Thank you

    Hey steve,

You have these users and groups added to the corresponding business group?

  • Move the user off the system disk folders? Envy of all the data on E, so need to move directories user E. not individually, but in the world. If all new users, I create will have their user and docs folder on E.

Got a new laptop with win 7 home premium pre-installed. Using the language of win 7... I have decreased the volume of HDD to 55 GB.  Made new simple volumes. I want all the data personal on E, so need to move user directories to E. No individually change the location tab on dozens of files, but in the world. If all new users, I create will have their user and docs folder on E from the gitgo.

Under XP, I could just change the 'My Documents' link on each desktop, go to the e. * instead of c *. *, but with win7?

As a Windows Home Server and most wise OS facilities, the system drive is isolated and a drive of 2 or 3 for everything else.  Get a problem? Just restore the system drive.

    You need the answer?

    Thank you

PS Microsoft: This backup/do imaging software, why don't we name the image so many can all be stored on easily in one place without having to go and rename it or move them elsewhere?

    Hello TomZork,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

In another forum, I found the instructions to move folders of users to another drive.
You can follow the post here. This is attributed to Jimmie R. Houts.

    Article:
You can move the entire folder C:\Users to another drive quite easily once windows is installed:

    1. Boot from the installation media and access the command prompt (I think you need to click on fix everything first)
    2. Use Robocopy to copy C:\Users to D:\Users: robocopy c:\Users d:\Users /mir /xj
      a. /mir says robocopy to mirror directories, this will copy all files and permissions
      b. /xj is very important, it means robocopy does not follow the points of junction. If you forget this, you will have a lot of trouble.
    3. Make sure that the files copied successfully
    4. Delete c:\Users
    5. Create the junction pointing d:\Users: mklink /d c:\Users d:\Users

That's all. I used this process for Vista RTM with no problems.

Here's an article that explains as well. Just use robocopy instead of xcopy as it does in the article in order to avoid possible ntfs permissions problems.

Update: because I discovered the hard way, I thought I would mention also that if you plan on switching "Program Data", or "Program Files" with this method, you will be disappointed to know that everything works as expected, but the windows updates will install is no longer. I don't know if this problem has been fixed in Win 7.

With the foregoing, it is not a Microsoft forum or Web site so you will have to use at your own risk. I also recommend to do a system restore point before making any changes in directories that you can then go back to a previous state.

Please reply back and let us know if these suggestions help you to solve your problem, then to benefit others.

    Sincerely,

    Marilyn

Where the local users and groups in Win 7 Home Premium?  I don't find it in computer management.

Elevate your privileges permanently would defy the purpose of UAC and is therefore not available. There are two ways to start a command prompt:

    1. click on the start planet.
    2. type the three letters cmd in the search box.
    3. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter
    4. click on "run as Administrator".

    or:
    1. create a shortcut on the desktop for cmd.exe.
    2. right click.
    3. click on run as administrator

  • Tab users and groups appearing is not in the centre of VI.

Here's the story. We had a guy who worked here who set up our VMware environment. Well apparently that he didn't know what he was doing, or he reminds the VI Center administrator password. We have access to just about everything we need to do (via our Windows connections) but I need to be able to edit users and groups. I can go in each ESX Server using the root for this server login, but I would like to be able to go to the users tab and groups in my centre of VI. Is there an easy way to fix this screw up? Thanks in advance for any help!

    -William

    Hi William,.

Administratte VI Center you must use windows user accounts

You can add permissions to the authorization Center tab Vi windows user accounts

  • Why isn't the local users and groups in Windows 7 Home Premium active?

Unfortunately, the page of "Compare editions" for Windows 7 does not show that it is disabled for Windows 7 Home Premium.  So, I think that Microsoft is engaged in false advertising by activating only not this snap-in Control Panel.

Bottom line is: I need to access the Panel to ensure that I am in the Visual Studio debugger users group.  So, I can't debug anything.  The software does not work properly.

Microsoft should immediately activate this feature.

I'm sorry, but no original version of Windows has always included local users and groups .

I recommend posting your question in the MSDN Visual Studio Forums , where other developers can answer. They know how to do what you want.
