Not updated by Labview VI Step property

Hello

I am currently using 4 TS and LV 8.2 with Win7 Pro.

I created a custom step which employs a lower Edit level.

The lower Edit level name successfully a Labview vi, which allows the user to change the values.

The intention is to copy the user values in the properties of the custom calling step, using the value property Value.vi of the library of Teststand.

After that step is changed, the vi is closed and I check the step variables expected variables to be updated, but what I see in the Variables Panel does not always show the new property values of step.

Called by the lower Edit level Labview vi receives the context of the sequence and the correct step property string name.

Have I correctly picked the Value.vi property set to the task of updating the step of step of the custom properties?

In addition, when the properties of the stage show the new value, the sequence containing the custom step does not indicate

the need to save that is in front of my expectations, else how is remined user to save the changes?

Thank you

Gary.

Gary,

I recommend most often to developers to interface with the EditSubstep modules using parameters.

For an input parameter, I pass the current values of the step variables.

For the output parameter, I connect the same variables that they get old/new values to the EditSubstep module.

I declare this as my EditSubstep modules normally contain a button "Cancel". If the user presses that, I simply passes the output values that the module received as input values.

Input values are also used to update correctly orders from the EditSubstep module. Otherwise, the user would see only the default values, but not the values of that step has already been changed.

Output parameters are important have not changed (cancel) / update the values of the step. By selecting the appropriate container, the values are transmitted with the closure of the EditSubstep, so there is no risk of running into a race condition, which could explain the behavior you're seeing.

hope this helps,

Norbert

  • The RichEditableText width property is not updated

    Hi guys, this is my problem.

    I'm a RichEditableText control that I use for user input. The user has the possibility to change the font and the size of the input. When a new font or font size is selected, the width of the input text is larger or smaller, and so the width of the control RichEditablText also changes.

    However, if I make a call to the width property, it has not updated. Only on the following font or the font size change is it updated, but it's the width of the previous size, not the current one. Code example below. How can I force update its width according to the current/actual width property?

  • Do not update the content property object loader

    I have a SWF file on a server, it's a very simple animation.

    I have a SWF file on a different server, it loads the first SWF.  Here is my code base:

    Security.allowDomain ("my.central.server.com");
    var loader: Loader = new Loader(); allows you to load external SWF.
    var mcExternal:MovieClip; used to store the loaded SWF file.
    Loader.Load (new URLRequest ("http://my.central.server.com/data/FSC_Test_Automation/called.swf"));
    loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, swfLoaded);
    function swfLoaded(e:Event):void {}
    mcExternal = loader.getChildAt (0) as MovieClip;
    this.addChild (mcExternal);
    mcExternal.play ();
    }

    Everything works perfectly except in one case.  I use Questionmark Perception to deliver quotas online.  When the Flash containing the code above is provided as part of an assessment, the "mcExternal.play ()" does not work because mcExternal is null.  mcExternal is set to null because loader.getChildAt (0) is set to null (I also tried loader.content and loader.contentLoaderInfo.content).

    All the events fire properly.  I can even see the loaded SWF file.  The problem is that I can't start playing because I can't get a reference to it.

    My question: what is - which would allow to load external SWF file but not assign it to the content property of the loader object?

    the swf load needs the method, (allowDomain() or allowInsecureDomain()).

In the next version AudioMASTER 6.3 (projected release 4th quarter 2011) LimiTEST is included in the dll (build in LabVIEW 2009).

    The trick in Teststand deployment is to build the application (the operator + sequence interface) on the developer machine without including the AudioMASTER components in the build, then installing the sequence and AudioMASTER (using Installer AudioMASTER) on the target computer. This will ensure that the correct registry on the target computer settings for AudioMASTER.

    If there is any other information needed, please let me know.

    Firefox 5 is without doubt a 5.0 (beta) version b1.

    Have you ever install a version of Firefox 4 beta or release candidate?

    It is possible that you are still on the beta channel.

    You can check pref app.update.channel on the subject: config page.

    If the value of this pref is beta so it is best to download and install the full version of Firefox 4, or edit the file \defaults\pref\channel-prefs.js in the folder of installation of Firefox 4 and change the line to:
