  I have just formatted my laptop using Recovery Disc 1. On the forums, it says after the disc 1, the menu won't ask you 2 Disc. But he never asked for disc 2. Should I have inserted just after that he asked me to eject the disc 1?

  The second disc will be created only if the first disk space is not enough! If the amount of recovery disk depends on the size of the image file.
  If your laptop works, I won't be afraid on the 2nd disk missing :)

  I think that your laptop supports HARD drive recovery!
  Therefore, it should be possible to perform the recovery procedure, without the use of the Toshiba Recovery disk.

  Just press the F8 key immediately after the laptop has been turned on.
  Then choose fix my computer-> new window should open.
  There, you have to choose the last option called Toshiba Recovery and follow the instructions on the screen.

  Please note that this procedure will fix the laptop back to the factory settings and format the entire HARD drive!

  Have you tried to boot from another bootable CD? I mean can start you Microsoft Windows CD or DVD in Vista?

  The error looks like the CD/DVD drive is not able to read and to start from the first recovery CD Toshiba.
  Maybe the disc is not more readable for this drive.

  It's my last chance I'm getting quite desperate.

  I just moved back to the Spain of the United Kingdom, and it seems that I lost the recovery/backup DVD/CD that is supposed to come with the laptop. Something happened about 2 weeks ago, (viruses? trojan?) and I can't access the internet (any browser, explorer, opera, firefox...) in normal mode, in safe mode (I cleaned up the cell with several anti-virus, anti-adware and antitrojans, issues have been found, but the problem persists).

  Get messages to create recovery discs.  When I try to do, it says created recovery on2/24/12 and only allowed recovery.  I think that HP sysstem sees recovery created on the HP Pavilion desktop computer.  Help!

  It's normal if you insert #1 recovery disc into the computer while still runniing Windows. Always restart your computer with a #1 disc in the CD/DVD drive. Press "ESC" on all the seconds until the computer will display a menu "selection start. Select the CD/DVD drive to boot from the recovery disc.

  Yes, you can install Windows 7 now, and if recovery happens to you then you may reinstall it again.
  But note; recovery disk would be to format the HARD drive again... so you must back up the data before you run the recovery disc.
