  Just as you describe. One is the local copy and the other is the a synchronization with your PC.

  If you want, you can clear the local contacts by going to settings > accounts. Press the three points at the bottom right and click clear local contacts.

  I just started using the newest BB Q10 SQN100-5 (from BB factory) unlocked.
  I'm on the Bell Canada network. Everything works perfectly except the Contacts application.
  My pictures etc all transferred to my Q10, but not contacts. When I go to the app I remember can I 'add account '.

  I ignored that and tried the + button and input contact a test, but no matter what I try it will not save. I tried:
  -local backup and SIM
  -restart
  -remove the battery
  -android to the new BB file transfer application

  I see that the system is updated according to the parameters of the system and that the SIM card is new. I note that the operating system is displayed as official: 10.2.1.2977 according to the parameters of the system.

  How do you transfer your data? Sometimes the transfer process can hide things a bit. Save your photos on your PC and then do a security Wipe. The wipe can take awhile then plug it in when you do the wipe.

  When it's done, copy your pictures back manually.

• Call Blocker for BB Q10 and Q10 BlackBerry Call Recorder does not work

  It's quite funny how when you pay for the apps will not longer work.  I got call blocking for well over a year waiting for them that they told me that I must have 10.3 or higher to be able to use its features.  Well guess what I've been updated 10.3.1.1865 with OS 10.3.1.2708 and it does not block calls.  Call Recorder when free works well, but as soon as I paid for it and upgraded to the pro version it would not record the sound went dead silent.  If anyone has had these problems when trying to get intouch with developers is useless, because no one will send to you.

  Call Blocker is developed by Ajani Info Tech version 1.0.2.17 and Call Recorder is developed by appsforbb version 2.0.0.1.  Sure would like to hear from anyone with the same problems or solutions because it's frustrating.  Thank you.

  Just trying to see if there is someone who has a solution before I go to my service provider to request a refund, but thanks for the help but would still see if anyone has experienced the same problems and have got a solution.  If this isn't the case, I'll go through my supplier for a refund.

  Hello once again update latest for my Q-10 a lot (not all) of my contacts somehow becomes associated.  For example.  When I text my wife and she says it is as if its someone else.

• Q10 blackBerry problem transfer contacts from Gmail to Q10

  First I tried to use the "peripheral" app switch, and I tried to transfer contacts and the calendar of a Samsung S3 to the Q10 - does not work, nothing has been recorded.

  Then I tried to manually enter some contact entries, and that no longer works (you press "save", but it is not saved).

  Email gmail works fine, great syncs and everything, but NO contacts list available.

  Very frustrating. If big names like Gmail and Blackberry OS 10 cannot talk to each other, what the heck!

  (I should mention that all OS updates have been made, it is perfectly up to date)

  any help and advice would be much appreciated.

  I want to transfer my contacts from Z10 and Q10 on my device inherited from curve 9220. I have already backed up my data using the BlackBerry link and I know that my curve is not compatible with BlackBerry Link. Can you give me a step-by-step procedure on how to synchronize my contacts from my BlackBerry 10 devices to my Gmail account?   Even with an older BlackBerry which doesn't BB10 you can use the BB link to transfer information.

• Pls Help blackBerry smartphones! 9900 pings and bbm normal message do not produce Z10 and Q10.

  I need some serious help here as soon as possible, I can't reach all my friends with Q10 and Z10 by bbm normal message on my 9900... It will always bring X nothing I try to send them a message bbm nomal and Pings.   Sorry for the trouble, but I noticed this same problem with few other users, who could not send pings to any BlackBerry 10 there BlackBerry 7 devices.

  To solve your problem, I suggest to re-install BlackBerry Messenger!  To do this on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.

  Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the latest available for your phone model. If device reboot prompt do then sign in with your ID BlackBerry even.

  Here, it is advised to use your own charger for each BlackBerry device

  If you try to load the Q10 8900 with charger will charge the battery more quickly.
  As vice versa if the Q10 is slow to carry the 8900 charger.

  I'm James and I had my Q10 for a week now.  I'm really happy with it.

  Backup of my flashlight was easy - plug it into the USB port and save contacts and the calendar was simple.  These are the only two things that I really NEED to backup - the rest is just good.

  Whenever I connect the Q10 comes in a yellow triangle with an exclamation point.  The information on the left says never backed up and never sync'd Panel and files on my C: drive is empty.  When I unplugged the USB my contacts, calendar and reminders have been empty for 20 minutes and I couldn't use the wi - fi or the browser during this period.  After a re-start all returned to normal (luckily I had heart failure).  It's really important for me that my stuff is backed up safely.  He tells you to reset the phone to factory settings if it connects, but surely, this means data loss personal isn't?  Either way, I tried the computer laptop and Q10 both connected to a power source and the Internet with no joy.

  For now, I dare not just reconnect for fear of what might happen! Could someone please give some advice?

  Backup using BlackBerry link does not store your data in another program such as Microsoft Outlook. It is stored in a file that cannot be accessed and read by restore on another BlackBerry smartphone that uses the same BlackBerry ID that was used for the backup.
