Notifications on my iMac

I have a question my notification section when I turn it off at night I have to reset all the notifications as I want. I hit change and bring changes, then when I stopped in at night and turn it back on in the morning, she goes back to default and having to change each day is at - it a fix for this problem too. ?

Maybe this helps:

In the Finder, hold down the alt key and click go to, in the menu bar. Choose the library. Open the Preferences folder and find a file named com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist and delete it. Restart your Mac and keep your fingers crossed that Notification Center will remember your changes.

I have a two part question. Both are perhaps related, maybe not. First of all, is it possible for an ipad of notification is displayed on my mac? The question is if I have a reminder application "drink your water", or a timer pomodoro on my ipad (which often is not close enough or turned enough to hear), would it be possible to get these reminders on my mac? The other thing, it bothers me to no end - say, I have 16 new emails on my mac (Mail). I have delete/reading them. Then I'll watch my ipad, and it says that I have 16 e-mails. • IMAC? FOXNEWS ap in notifications want removed

    Greatings,

Has begun to receive notifications from FOX.

Their FOXNEWS ICON appeared in my list of notifications in Sys Pref.

Not sure how he got there. Must have inadvertently clicked on something in a story.

Can turn on and outside banners/alerts, but I don't want the ICON there.

It is not in my list of requests. Cannot click right left click or drag.

Help to remove would be appreciated.

Hi amib8zs!  Please take contact with Apple Support communities on your notification problem.

It is certainly understandable to want to clean up your list of notifications to remove websites which you are not interested in receiving notifications.  Turn off notifications in the system preferences, was a good first step.  To permanently delete the FoxNews icon in your list of notifications, however, follow these steps:

    1. open Safari on your Mac.

    2. click on the Safari menu (next to the  menu in the upper left corner)

    3. click on "Preferences...". ", then go to the"Notifications"option at the top

    4. Select site Web of FoxNews icon and click on the button 'Delete' below.

Has anyone seen all the patches that work, or does Apple have indication when they provide an update to fix this error

Hey there. I seem to be in the same situation as you are. I worked through the issue for the last 20 minutes with a friend, and I was wondering if you happened to run a Mac that has been upgraded to Mac OS Sierra as well.

I went through a bit of a process of elimination. I rebooted my iPhone 7 more, restarted my iPad Pro and rebooted my Mac, and then began to close the other devices one by one.

Turns out that when my iMac with Sierra installed was on, this is when my iPhone Plus 7 missing notifications.

That said, you are using a Mac with Sierra?

  • IMac goes wrong

    Hello

I brought my Imac into Apple and they ran a diagnostic. I was told it was material matters, but everything came back fine. I explained to them that the computer is very slow. Browsers open slowly, when I type emails or documents letter letters hang out and eventually catch up.

The computer is mainly used for electronic mail and I DJ as a hobby. I have music here, but have always a ton of memory. I don't know if the computer is just getting old, but I don't remember my Mac laptop running so bad after a few years of use.

I had to run out of Apple, and they suggested that I look for advertising and malware. I ran Malwarebytes, but it is a question. A few months ago, I had problems of core and the computer shuts down, but finally after a update it never happened again.

  • My iMac can't sleep; I have a request to someone who has an iMac sleeping properly.

My iMac has constantly made call sleep and wakes up on the screen every 15 minutes approximately.  I ran the "journal of the pmset g" Terminal command and tries to interpret the results.

May we with a Mac post well behave the terminal results in "Journal of the pmset g" so I can see what looks like a normal output?  It will help me to get a better idea of what's different in my results.

Also, if someone does not know how to interpret the log, please let me know if you can clearly see problems with my system.  From journal here:

  • How can I disable the notifications of new CNN?

Since I upgraded my iMac to El Capitan I received notifications of banner in the upper right. It doesn't bother me when I hear about the updates of the computer, the e-mails and things of this nature. However, I despise the work offline and suddenly have some headline news obnoxious suddenly pop up on my work. I want to see the news, I will go online and watch, not pushed him into my throat. Unfortunately, the only settings I can find in the notifications turn off everything. I don't want to turn off ALL notifications, just the invasive CNN newsfeed. Is there a way to do this?

If you're using Safari, go to Safari > Preferences > Notifications and CNN set to "deny".

If you have installed a CNN application you should be able to control if just that app provides notifications in system preferences > Notifications, select the application on the left (assuming that it is registered) and adjust its parameters using the checkboxes on the right.

  • Notification "Trackpad low battery", but I do not use trackpad

I'm on an iMac OS X El Capitan. I get a notification popup in the upper right corner, the trackpad's batteries are low, but I'm not using a trackpad. My mouse is not even bluetooth. I have a standard mouse that plugs a USB port. So my priority issue is: How do the notification go away? But also: why it does this?

Click the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar of your Mac, and then select Open Bluetooth preferences...

What, if any, devices appear in its list of devices ?

  • My iMac runs very slowly

Suggestions on what to do to make it work normally? Thank you!

  • FaceTime does not sound on my iMac

My ring of iPhone and iPad, but my iMac is silent. I looked through the settings but can't find anything to change for the better.

I'm going to assume that you have checked each of these facts:

    FaceTime can make outgoing calls.

    b. you don't get calls to an email address or iPhone number corresponding to the Apple code that you are currently using. Calls to any other ID Apple that you may have used will not be received.

    c. the appellants are not on your list of blocking.

    (d) at least one of the callers can call other users of FaceTime - but not you.

If you have verified these facts, please take each of the following steps you have already taken it. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.

    1. open the Notifications pane in system preferences. Select FaceTime from the list on the left. The banners or alerts alert style must be chosen - not None.

    2. in the same window, select do not disturb. If none of the three top boxes on the right is checked, then all FaceTime calls will be blocked in the corresponding conditions. If you want to use 'do not disturb', but you also want to receive calls when it is active, check or for both the two boxes below, according to your preference.

    3. If the built-in firewall application is enabled, please disable it. In case you are worried about the implications of this step, the firewall generally useless when you're on a private behind a router network.
