Notify the application that the Quit is selected from the dock icon menu

I'm building Air application icon menu dock, is there a way for me to know if the 'Quit' from the context menu on the Dock icon is selected? I looked at the "closing" is not what I'm looking for as this is also sent when the user clicks the X button on the application.

Thank you.

The trick was to manage 'EXIT' event

    Whenever I try to place an application icon in the dock icon get a tiny arrow shortcut to as for the 07:00 click the newly created and connected position.

    None of my icons for other applications in the dock has this small arrow on its icon.

    So, how to put an icon on the dock without the shortcut arrow display at the 07:00 position?

    If I understand you correctly, simply drag the application in the dock. No need to create an alias first.

    I use an iMac 24 "mid-2007. The help documentation tells me how to assign an application to a space is to use this Option. But it does not, while the other three are. Is this an error or something that can be explained? Could there be a work around? My OS is El Capitan.

    Hi peterwhi,

    I understand you are trying to set an application to open its windows on a particular space. To do this, move to the space that you want to use for the desired application, and then choose 'The Office' in the list of options you mentioned see (under Options).

    OS X El Capitan: working in multiple spaces
    https://support.Apple.com/kb/PH21872

    The option that you describe as missing is displayed only if you have connected an additional external display to your iMac and would set the app to open on the iMac screen or the external display.

    Office on the screen [number]: the application opens in the current space on a specific screen (if more than one display is available).

  • Stuck in the dock icon. The system will not stop?

    After the Java Update 1.8.91, whenever a Java application had been opened and closed again, the Java icon remains on the bench of the accused.

    This isn't the real problem, stop via the Apple menu does nothing. The iMac not simply stopped. OS X 10.11.5. It is somehow in an intermediate state, where no other application opens more.

    Here's what I've tried so far:

    1. Force quit changes logo from Java to a Terminal logo = > icon remains docked, without stop down via the Apple menu.
    2. By dragging the icon Java/Terminal to the desktop or the trash can displays the text "Remove", but won't actually remove the icon. Needless to say: stop always is not possible.
    3. Since the iMac is set up for multiple users, I can change via the user menu in the login window, and here I can click on the icon/symbol of closure. After you enter the credentials of the administrator, the system stops... Finally.
    4. I have already completely uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Java (1.8.91). No change.
    5. The strange thing is, there is no Java process visible in the activity monitor or in the Terminal window when you use the top or ps commands...
    6. Disk utility = > first aid doesn't change anything either.
    7. In the console is a warning against a coreaudio with Java incompatibility... But I don't know how it might help the situation.

    I have no idea process to kill or what to install/uninstall in order to launch a 'clean' close.

    Advice or assistance is highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    The software for a Wacom tablet is known to prevent the shutdown of OS X 10.11.5. If this software is installed and that you no longer use the device, please remove the software. Otherwise, check with the manufacturer for support or an update. Back up all data before making any changes.

  • I have gmail on Firefox. I use Mac. Can I move to gmail on my mail on the dock icon?

    I don't know what I can say except that I click on the Firefox icon in the dock to get to the top of my gmail account. It seems preferable to click on the mail icon in the dock instead. Does it really matter or not, how I got my mail? As you can probably, mobile info around is a little difficult for me and my question, if feasible, would be great.
    Thank you, Theresa

    It's not, it's the choice of the user. Mail can be read in two ways. The only difference is the interface.

  • I accidentley moved the favorite icon menu when I wanted a home so I removed it hoping that would work. It did not work.

    I wanted a Home tab and now I deleted it on accident

    If you have not closed Firefox since this has happened, you may be able to use Undo to revert on your deleted bookmark. Since the cancellation goes in reverse order of last modified, unfortunately it could cancel some things first, but if you want to try...

    Open the Library dialog box help

    • CTRL + SHIFT + b
    • Bookmarks > show all bookmarks

    Click the toolbar bookmarks or Menu bookmarks in the left column, everywhere where the bookmark deleted was. This is so that you can watch to see if it returns when you use Undo.

    And then upward to the left you should see a menu plan. If you do not see text and icons, try the icon that looks like a stack of paper. Here you should find Undo available (not grayed out). If so, you can try it.

    A little luck?

  • Best approach to select from multiple/all photos from the CameraRoll iOS?

    I want to use FlashBuilder 4.5.1 to build a photo organizer project mobile flex that allows me to select several photos from the iPhone Camera Roll.

    I saw the class flash.media.CameraRoll , but it doesn't seem to provide CameraRoll.browseForImage () which opens a dialog box to select a SINGLE photo.

    Has anyone built an application that allows users to select multiple photos, or select all from the CameraRoll? You can access the embedded thumbnail DB or do you to import all the photos in the ApplicationStorageDirectory first? I'm better off the coast of writing an application native iOS?

    Mobile Flex allows something like this:

    // is this a security violation?
    var cameraRoll:File = new File('/var/mobile/Media/DCIM');

    var photos:Array = [];
    var folders:Array = cameraRoll.getDirectoryListing();
    for (var i:int=0 ; i<folders.length; i++) {
        var files:Array = folders[i].getDirectoryListing();
        for (var j:int=0 ; j<files.length; j++) {
            var photo:File = files[j];
            photos.push(photo);
        }
    }
    // show photos, somehow...

    However, this method does not give access to thumbnails managed by: ' / var/mobile/User/Media/Photos/Photo database '

    from: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6936881/how-do-you-access-the-ios-camera-roll-from-a-fl project-mobile-ex

    At the moment (AIR 2.7), the CameraRoll class does not have the features you need. In AIR 3 (data release TBA), you can write a native extension that would provide these features. So if you need these features right now, or you do not the benefits of using AIR for the rest of your application are sufficient, you must write a native application. However, if the rest of the application is faster and easier to write Flex that Objective C or you want to publish the application on Android and Playbook (and maybe the office as well), and you can wait a bit for AIR 3, then you will probably be out before sticking with Flex.

  • Dock icons have been removed, but appear in the Applications folder

    Hi, I ve had some problems with the dock icons. Since yesterday I can't see native IOS icons like finder, mail or launchpad. However, I checked my app folder and here they are with the same problem. No native applications as google chrome has had the same problem, but once I have check the option 'get info' allowing the application I have fixed the copy of the problem and paste the icon. When I try with native applications, I could not. I don't know if it's a virus or what, but my macBook takes longer to rise. You have the same problem? You have to be able to help me?

    In assuming that you already restarted your Mac, try the secure boot mode.

    Stop your Mac. Use the power button if you wish. Now start with the SHIFT key is pressed. This will start in Safe Mode, with all extensions turned off. Safe mode is slow to start, so give it time, it checks a lot of staff. If it works fine in Safe Mode, restart normally. If it works now, you are finished.

    If the problem comes back after a reboot, you have an extension conflict. Disable all extensions via system preferences. To isolate which extension is at fault, turn on an extension at the same time, restart in the meantime, until you find the bad Apple.

  • Messages on Mac next to the doc icon

    I've not turned my phone of iMessage. Why is the message bubble appear on my desk next to the extension of the doc that I open your messages on my iPhone?

    I have iMessage disabled on my iPhone and this just started happening recently.

    Every time I get a message or open a new one to send that the bubble appears to the left of the doc. How can I get this to stop?

    Thank you.

    Hello

    I'm not sure that I understand very well.

    On Mac, there is a Bar with many icons pinned App to called the Dock.

    On the iPhone, the app is called Messages and it can be turned on to do iMessages and SMS.

    The Mac version is also called Messages, and by default the icon FRO the application appear in the Dock.

    I'm not sure that you don't talk to a doc (MSP) that is called "overtime".

    I'm not sure why this causes to start then Messages on the iPhone If you do not use.

    IF you previously dragged the Messages out of the Dock icon and open the Messages in the folder of the Application, the icon still appears in the Dock as all open applications even if they are not in the Dock normally.  They will disappear when the application is closed (Quit)

  • Apple Mail window does not appear when I click the icon in the Dock

    When you use Apple Mail, if I reduce the window, she collapses in the Mail dock icon.  When I single click on the Mail dock icon, nothing happens. In Safari and Photo, reopen their windows.  After clicking on the dock icon, Mail is the application to the front, so I can't click on window > Inbox to reopen the window.

    Thank you!

    Please read this message before doing anything.

    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

    Step 1

    The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

    Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

    While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

    Test while signed in as a guest by putting in place one of your e-mail accounts. Same problem?

    After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

    * Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create a new account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.

    Step 2

    The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is caused by changes in the system of third party that load automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

    Please take this step regardless of the results of step 1.

    Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

    Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

    The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

    Test in safe mode. Same problem?

    After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of steps 1 and 2.
