NSLU2 claims drive is full when moving large files

Hi all.

I just got my Nslu2 today as its going to beput to use to share multimedia files in the home network. I currently put it in place with a Seagate free agent desk top of page hard drive 500 GB and a sky netgear router. I currently have the Firmware Version: V2.3R24 and I'll upgrade it later in the day.

I created all things out of the box and everything went well so I started my entire mp3 collection to the nas disk 1 that I moved a large collection of files well over 50 GB in a go to the drive. I noticed it was a slower than I expected, but ive read also on the resolutions of vista of lille.

Once the mp3s had been moved, I started to move a set of .iso files all files have been around the size of 6 GB, but I get an error message indicating that the disk is full. I connected to the web-based administration tool and it still says 'disk 1 loan, 469283MB (88% free) '.

I had a conversation with an agent via the live chat option, which advised me to upgrade the firm dishes and reformat the hard disk, so that's what I'm doing.

I was wonderring if anyone else had this problem and if so how they resolve.

Thanks for your help :-)

Try holding the reset button of the nslu2 for 2 seconds and the IP must return to 192.168.1.77. Make sure that your computer is on the same network range and try to ping of its ip address. If it gives an answer, you should be able to access the user interface and update the firmware. If this is not the case, try to hold the reset for 10 seconds, that will be the default value for the ip address and the password of the nslu2. If you have IP address ping the 192.168.1.77 I think that there might be a problem with the unit and it will be better to call Linksys dual cannot verify the settings.

  • v125W 16 GB USB Flash Drive reporting disk full when moving some files

Let me apologize in advance if I put this topic in the wrong forum!

Hi all! I received a v125w 16 GB USB Flash Drive for Christmas (link). Works just fine until I went to move some files .iso to DVD on it so that I can transfer them on my netbook to watch while I'm away from home for long periods of time. in any case.

The .iso files are standard DVD rips of discs I own, so the question of the integrity of the hacking or file is not a problem here. The .iso files work very well on my desktop, I can be read and can also burn backups without a hitch.

Each .iso file is at 4.35 concerts after a tear. When I try to drag and drop them on the flash drive, windows tells me that the destination disk is full and I need to free up space. I get this message, even when there is absolutely no other files on the flash drive.

I put the .iso file into a new empty folder and tried to move in this way, but it gives me the same results. So I threw a bunch of other files in a folder (any of my .iso files) and got 7 concerts in total. He moved very well in the flash player.

I ripped a DVD of my son and the resulting file is 3.28 GB in size. I can move this .iso on the FlashDrive without problem.

But now I'm at the end of my rope as to why this is happening and what to do now. It has no sense to me at all. If someone here on the Forum could provide some advice on what I need to I would really appreciate it. I prefer not having to sit on hold with HP my entire weekend.

Which disc format is your USB drive formatted in? (FAT, FAT32 or NTFS)  Fat you are limited to 4 GB.

Try a new Folder.dbx file. Reboot when finished.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

The path to the message will be very similar to this:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User of utilisateur\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {long string of letters & numbers} \Microsoft\Outlook Express

With OE closed, find the Folders.dbx file and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    Note these possible side effects:

When you re - start OE, it will build a new index of all *.dbx files it can read and create a new Folders.dbx. However, understand that you will lose the mail directory structure and message rules will probably have to be edited.

  • Firefox crashes when uploading large files

When downloading large files as a 4 GB of linux DVD image, firefox starts to accumulate the memory usage. After downloading the / 3GB, it takes about 4 GB of memory and then crashes because it can't possibly get any bigger. WHY would he do that? In previous versions of firefox, it created a .part file and stored all the data in there. But at the moment it stores EVERYTHING download in memory and then directly saves it in the file. No disk .part files.

I found the culprit. The only addon installed: Firebug!

This seems to be a bug that was introduced in a later version. I use this addon for about 2 years now and never had such problems. I'll contact the author of this addon.

  • Windows Explorer hangs when copying large files on external USB drive

I'm trying to copy files over 1 GB of my pc to a WD MyBook external drive. After about 10% on the progress indicator, Windows Explorer crashes. When I cancel the work, nothing happens until I unplug the USB. Then I have the pc returns to normal.

During my research, I discovered that a lot of people have this problem. I have tried many suggestions, but without result. The last thing I tried was a full format the C: drive with a fresh install of Vista. Copy a large file gave me the message 'Calculating time' infinite. After you have installed SP1 reappeared the problem as explained above.

Some of the things I've tried:
check the external hard drive: no problem found and the problem occurs on all my MesLivres 3
    safe mode
    Superfetching disabled
    update the motherboard bios

Now my last request resource helps professionals. If I don't find a solution I'll have to go back to XP, achieve Win7 or one rating for Mac... a lot of things to think about.

    Best regards
    Rafael

Try to copy in safe mode. If can be a slow usb port. Try anther one.

    Good luck.

  • Re: Satellite Pro U400-160 - freezes when copying larger files or videos

    Hello:

I have a Satellite Pro U400-160 and a VERBATIM external hard drive USB eSATA combo.

If I turn on AHCI mode recognizes the drive, but when copying the video files or large file size, the system is frozen. However if I remove the mode AHCI works correctly. I have the version 9.8.9.1023 Intel (r) Matrix Storage Manager and my laptop BIOS v4.0 and Windows Vista Business.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Normally the AHCI mode has nothing to do with an external HARD drive. It is only important for the internal HARD disk if you install Windows.

Anyway, you have installed all the updates of Windows for Vista?
In addition, you should test another external HARD disk or with another cable.

    Welcome them

  • 4.2.3/.4 data support assistant - slow when loading large files

    Hello

I use the load data wizard to load csv files into an existing table. It works very well with small files up to a few thousand rows. When loading 20 k lines or more loading process becomes very slow. The table has a unique numeric column to the primary key.

The primary key is declared to the "shared components"-> logic-> "data loading tables" and is recognized as 'pk (number)' with 'case sensitve' set to 'No '.

When loading the data, these Setup executes the following query for each line:

    Select 1 "Klaus". "' PD_IF_CSV_ROW ' where upper ("PK") = upper(:uk_1)

which can be found in v$ sql view during loading.

It makes the process of slow loading because of the superior function, no index can be used.

It seems that the setting of "case sensitive" is not rated.

Removing the numeric index for the key primary and with the help of a function based index do not help.

Explain plan shows an implicit conversion "to_char":

    UPPER (TO_CHAR (PK) = UPPER(:UK_1)

It is missing in the request, but perhaps that it is necessary for the function based index to work.

Please provide a solution or workaround to load data Wizard work with large files in a reasonable time.

    Best regards

    Klaus

You must have the correspondence of PK to be "exactly - case-sensitive" (or something like that)

In addition, I was already on the slowness with Oracle Support when dealing with important content.

They are aware of the problem.  Only around is known to break up the data into smaller segments.

(I'll have to track down the correct ID for reference...)

    My observation:

APEX data loader makes a slow-by-slow transformation of the data instead of treatment in bulk.

You will need to break up the data, or to build your own data loader.

    Thank you

    MK

  • LabVIEW 2009 SP1 crashes when moving large selection with the arrow key

If I select a lot (10 or 15) diagram components and try to move some distance with the arrow button, I'm often a program crash.  Because a reduced number of components seems to hang after a longer distance traveled, it looks like some sort of buffer overflow error.  I don't see this problem when you use the mouse to move selections.

I checked to make sure I have the latest version of the video driver for my NVIDIA Quatro FX570.  I also tried to work with no hardware acceleration and no handset, written.  What happens on Windows XP SP3 with all current updates.

It became so bad that I have to do a save as every fifteen minutes to avoid losing data.

Why not use my mouse for all movements?  Because it is not as specific and not so easy to limit to only one dimension of the movement.   My hand is not as stable as it once was.

I'm hoping someone will have a suggestion that will clear up this problem.

As I have indicated, I had the same problem with 8.5 and just DID a new install of Labview 2009.

Since it is possible that my three monitors configuration, which of course requires more memory video, may be at the origin of the problem, I am satisfied with workaround by dragging the objects closer to their final destination and then using the arrow keys.

Three monitors are ideal for the front, block and help/Internet/probe damaged.  When I got to work in the field with a single monitor, I felt severely handicapped.

You can consider the issue closed.

Thank you for trying to reproduce the failure.

  • Drive access denied when opening PDF files

I noticed this on adobe Reader Versions XI and DC. What happens is whenever someone tries to open a pdf file that has name of file path is greater than 217 characters they will receive the error 'Access denied.' rename the file or move it to a path that has character < = 216 characters users can then open. If you try to save to the location it will appear to have saved, will throw any errors, does not save everything simply.

I upgraded the drive to the new generation of DC. Tested on a new installation of Windows 8.1, I had at my disposal and tested it on all computers 15ish which give the same result. With different PDF documents are both on the internet and made by me using
    Acrobat.

    A few notes.

This only happens on the network drives.

I have access to all the locations of readers, that I tested.

I had another user test this thus giving the same results.

If I add my UNC path name of the file instead of drive letters, the amount is greater than 254.

For example, if the path of the file is H:\My network Drive\Somearbitraryfolders\filename_Greaterthan217.pdf Its always less than the 254 that windows gives to us, but if I add my \\domain\public\drivename\Somearbitraryfolders\filename_Greaterthan217.pdf UNC path so this eqauls more than 254.

So even if I can move files to this location by going through drive letters, stick them in, all that Jazz. As the reader is concerned it is the limit of windows, and may not be able to do something with it.

If the Player looks at the UNC path instead of drive letters?

If so is there a way for him to watch the drive letters?

A quick edit. I just found this

Known issues | Acrobat DC, CD player

Problem: error access denied when you try to open the PDF file of the symlink via UNC path [3844582]

So, I'm going to assume that the answer to my question is no. All that I can do is hope for a update or tell my users not to do ridiculously long paths.

  • Acrobat pdfmaker com addin for word 2010 crashes when processing large files

I try to use pdfmaker com plugin for word 2010 to create a PDF document. Whenever I have try and create the document, the addin acrobat crashes Word.

I tried to do this on x 86 and x 64 machine and it failed twice at around the point about even (during/immediately after determining the bookmarks).

The document is large (862 pages, 2425 bookmarks, 311 300 DPI graphic, for a total size of the 49.2MiB file)

I can generate the PDF by printing only, but the question of the use of the pdfmaker is so that we will not have to perform 2.5 K manual reticulations.

It seems that the problem has been resolved with an update; I do experience is no longer the question (I tried several times on different machines). I have listed the current versions of the applications below for reference.

    Acrobat (x 86): 10.1.5.33

  • Satellite Pro A110 blocking (he must press power) when copying large files

I have two users the two ProA110 PSAB1C-GM60XE that hangs just at the copy files or randomly just by using the network connection.

The network card is a Realtek RTL8139/810 x Family Fast Ethernet NIC

I updated the driver to the latest version 5.708.1030.2008

I also reset the TCP/IP Protocol:
    c:\netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt

Disable "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on the properties of the NETWORK adapter

I tried to re - install XP and the same problem.

Shows the Windows event log. "Your computer failed to renew its address from the network (from the DHCP server) for the network card with network 0016D address 4258701." The following error occurred:

The semaphore timeout period has expired. . "Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the server network address (DHCP) '. Nothing came on Internet search that help.

All who have similar problems and how it was resolved very useful.

    Thank you!

Hmm, I searched a bit on MS pages and found this:
    em http://www.Microsoft.com/technet/support/EE/Transform.aspx?ProdName=Windows%20Operating%20Syst & ProdVer = 5.2 & EvtID = 1003 & EvtSrc = DHCP & LCID = 1033

The reasons for this question might be:
The DHCP server is down or does not.
The DHCP relay does not work correctly.
    The network is down.
The firewall on your computer blocks on broadcast network traffic.
Network interface card or your computer driver does not work correctly.

Microsoft offers different solutions, workaround and solution proposals.

  • Kernel Panic on the new imac several times when editing large files layers in Photoshop CS5

get the panics of the kernel on my new imac... operating system wiped and reinstalled twice and still got the kernel panics.  This happens when I work in Photoshop... but that's all I really use so no just to say what the reason for the panic.  That said, I read that panicked the kernel could not be caused by a software.  is this accurate?

crapple has my computer now and run a few 'intensive' tests and can not find hardware problems.  can someone give me some data to support a serious conversation with my 'genius' tomorrow?

is it a commen w / Mac?  I've never had any problems with photoshop and my pc.  I miss my pc.

I'm glad to hear that you are getting somewhere.

And sorry to hear that this is such a concern with Apple "geniuses".

(I usually diagnose the problem, then take the machine in their :-))

  • ORA-1511 when moving all files pending physical

I had to reinstall all the files on my 11.2 physical standby database in a new mount point (nothing has changed on the primary).  I cancelled recovery managed on the standby and sleep mode off and then copied the data files controlfile, ORLs and SRls to their new location.  After that, I set up the night before, set standby_file_management = MANUAL and did an "alter database rename file' for all the files. However, I have seen this error on several occasions for all files:

    Example:

    ORA-1511 scored at the course: change the database file rename ' / g06/oradata/mydb/redo06.log' to ' / g03/oradata/mydb/redo06.

    Journal "...

    I did this:

    Select name from v$ datafile;

    Select name from v$ tempfile;

    Select Member from v$ logfile;

All data files and tempfiles showed in the new location as well as of all litigants without lawyer and ORLs, except a single file SRL, who was always on display in its former location.  I did then:

Select * from v$ standby_log and that a particular SRL has been ACTIVE.  I began recovery managed and dial-up logfiles on the primary.  I then stop Eve again and he started upward, and this time I was able to rename this a SRL I could not rename before (probably due to the log command).

Why I see ORA-1511 errors even if the name change works?  Why the change of a name SRL does not work?  What is the correct way to do it?

Also, I went from logs a lot of time on the primary, and I noticed that two of the six only litigants were always used.  They are not supposed to be not circular rotation instead of switch backwards between only two of six SRls?

The ORA-1516 is the other message I was looking for. As indicated in this message... the log file does not exist. Or... that the message does not... it is that the Oracle is unable to see the file. Maybe it's a permissions problem?

At this point, since the others seem ok and it's just this a SRL, why not let it drop and recreate it?

    See you soon,.

  • Windows crashes when you create a large file DVD

Windows 7 crashes when copying large files on the internal DVD drive.  Working also on a typically about 600 KB/sec transfer rate.  Takes forever.  Usually, if there is only a single file, it will copy.  If there are multiple files, it just hangs.  No error message.  Just hangs.

  • Photoshop 2014 (Win7) crashes when you save large files

    Hello

A new user in our design Department has problems with its Photoshop 2014 frequently crashing when saving large files.

It runs on a new brand PC (Windows 7 x 86), which has all the latest drivers for hardware and Windows updates. CC Adobe indicates that no update is available for Photoshop.

After installation of the product, I'm not particularly familiar with Photoshop, so apologies if it is a common/known issue that I'm not aware of.

I don't think it's a hardware problem as only Photoshop is having these issues (the user is also AutoCAD 2014, which works perfectly). However, I ran Memtest 86 + all night, who reported no errors.

Here is a typical crash report and also a copy/paste info from System. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be grateful.

    Thank you
