Number of ACL by interface

ACL how can I request an interface? I have a few long ACLs that I want to break up to make it easier to manage. I have 5 incoming ACL applied to my DMZ interface on a 525 running version 6.3 (4)?

Roland,

I think your question is if you can have more than one ACL per interface...

Let's check out some definitions first:

ACL: Access Control List, it is a union of ACEs that specify if traffic will be allowed/denied on the basis of source and destination

ACE: What are the specific lines that you add to an ACL

(i.e..)

access list 1 TEST line allow tcp a whole

allowed for TEST access list row 2 udp a whole

-L'ACL is TEST

-ACEs are "line 1" and «line 2"»

1_ so if your question is in what concerns the number of ACEs per ACL by Interface, I will say that you can have as many as you want, but make sure that you use the TURBO ACL function with the 'updated access-list command"

2_ if your question is how ACLs, you can have by interface, I say it's just a... You bind the ACL to an interface with the access-group command and the rule is "what an acl by interface.

Please click the link below:

http://Cisco.com/en/us/products/sw/secursw/ps2120/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00800eb721.html#wp1001972

"You use the access-list and access-group commands to allow access based on source or destination IP address, or the port number of the Protocol. Use the access-list command to create a single access list entry and use the access-group command to bind one or more entries from the access list to a specific interface. Specify only a single command access-group for each interface. »

I would like to know if this can help, if I was wrong about my assumption give me details and I would be more than happy to help

  • Number max of dynamic interfaces on 4404 WLC

Can someone tell me if there is a limit to how many dynamic interfaces I can create on a WLC 4404?

I know that I can have only 16 SSID, so I have set up an SSID for my private network and use AAA Override and configured my radius server to assign the VLAN different for each group. I need to create a dynamic interface for each VLAN individual and I just want to know if there is some sort of limit on the number of dynamic interfaces, I can have when I meet a potential problem on the road.

    TIA,

    Deanna

I was able to verify that you can only create dynamic interfaces up to 513. This of course does not include your management, your ap Manager or VIP.

Hope that answers your question... it did for... now me I know!

  • Number of ACL access

Please help with a question: How can I see the number of hits on each permit/deny in my ACL? Thanks in advance.

Normally see you just by an access list see the 101 or whatever. It will show the number of visits (if any) in parentheses on each line. I don't think you need to do something special for that. If you don't see any success, your access lsit is probably not used.

  • How to set up and test the Profibus network, using the number of piece OR interface master/slave 780161-01

I bought this card of NEITHER. I've been in contact with Comsoft which apparently is the developer of this Council. I used the Configurator II to try to build the network. The GSD file for my slave is entered. I can also see the GSD file for the master. There seems to be no obvious way to test the bus of the configuration tool. I tried the Express VI provided by Comsoft. Nothing happens. I have a purchased with endings installed profibus cable. I know that the works of cable as a another division has an another Profibus master that works with this cable how to configure correctly for you? How to test?

    Thank you

    Rick

The problem has been resolved. In the configuration tool, after the slave device is connected to the network, all of the attributes listed under it must also be dragged over and placed in the list that appears. Never seen this step in the documentation. Once this has been done the configuration tool could initialize and find the slave.

  • Maximum number of interfaces loopback on a 3560-8PC-S or a 2960TC-8-L

    Dear community,

our application monitoring engineer must be able to ping of thousands of IP addresses and we decided to offer the following solution: a port of 8 Cisco switch central as a 3560-8PC-S or a 2960TC-8-L.

The problem we now face is that only up to 64 Interfaces loopback (0-63) could be created. It is not possible to create a with the value num 64 or higher loopback Interface. Any ideas we could do to fix this?

We lack IOS 12.2 (55) EX2. Singularly, 0-2147483647 is offered when enter you the loopback Interface?  but the fact is that we cannot produce a loopback Interface 64 or higher.

    Switch (config) #int lo?

Thanks a lot and best regards,

Just test it on a WS-C3560-8PC with SE5 IPServices 15.0 (2), and also where it stopped after 64 telesignalisations.

What about a small Linux PC for this?

  • IP-broadcast directed ACL extended

    Hi all

I am quite new to fogive ACL if all errors.

I am currently trying to get Wake on LAN in our work to SCCM 2007 environment to wake up computers. I configured ACL to allow packets between VIRTUAL LANs.

    I followed the guide CISCO

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/hw/switches/ps5023/products_configuration_example09186a008084b55c.shtml and it works, but I'm afraid I left the security to open.

Firstly I have authorized the server in an ACL entry

allow udp host 192.168.99.x eq 7

Then I allowed fowarding of WOL packets in emissions.

    ip forward-protocol udp 7

Then, on the interface VLAN, I got a bit stuck. in the guide it says enter the ACL number after. However, I use the names of ACL and I can not add the name.

IP directed broadcast to the ACLNumber

It WORKS fine if I do not simply the number of ACL, but I fear that it is 'open '.

    Any advice greatly appreciated!

    Matt

    Hey Matt,

By the reference to the order, only numbered ACL can be given as an argument to the command "ip directed broadcast", so you will need to use config like:

    access-list 101 permit udp host 192.168.1.x any eq 7

IP broadcast directed to the 101

I did find improvement pending to allow named ACL at the moment.

    See you soon,.

    / Phil

  • Designjet T1100 Interface cable

Ladies and gentlemen I searched high and low for a number of control panel interface cable. I pinched one between the cover left and the side of the plotter and need to replace. In addition, in replacement of the timing belt, it looks like there was some sort of small tab that came loose at the bottom of the distribution. I noticed when the carriage passes over the service station, there is a strong enough scratching noise. IM assuming that this tab provided separation between the cart and the gas station? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I finally got an answer from Hp regarding my question in case someone runs into the same problem. I had no idea that there is no separate cable for the Control Panel on this model. It is included in a bundle of cables that includes the cable for the I.S.S. and one another point or two. This is why I couldn't find the part number in the manual. For the harness part number is Q6675-67023.

  • Basic ACL - PowerConnect 6224

    Interfaces:
    G1 = Internet
    G3, g4 = Server (1 GAL)

    G1 has no bound ACL

I'm trying to bind ACL (s) to 1 SHIFT that will allow a specific Internet traffic-> server and all (later, restrict) the server-> Internet traffic
(because it is linked to the GAL, as opposed to g1, ACL is applied to the "out" direction)
(to simplify things I use src/dest all - but later restricted to the IP addresses of the server)

    My rules:

access-list webau permit tcp any any eq 22
access-list webau permit tcp any any eq http
access-list webau permit tcp any any eq 443
access-list webau permit tcp any any eq 3389
access-list webau permit tcp any any eq 1935

    Binding of the ACL:

    interface port-channel 1
    IP access-group out webau

This allowed successfully than traffic from Internet-> server on TCP port numbers specified - well.

However, the server is unable to get out to the Internet at all.
(for example, ping, telnet google.com 80)

I would have thought with no ACLs in, we could deduct all the traffic of the LAG to the switch.

    I also tried:
    access-list permit Allowall each
    interface port-channel 1
    IP access-group Allowall in

In addition, if I have add the rule to the ACL webau (related to out LAG1):
Allow Access-list icmp a whole webau

I can ping the server-> Internet

    or...
    access-list webau permit each

    Server-> Internet is OK

Finally - any recommendation on whether to apply to ports/channel of the server, with OUT management (as I am) vs apply to the Internet port with direction IN

    Thank you!
    Nick

  • PowerConnect M6220 ACL issues

Hi, received a pair of blade switches PowerConnect M6220, pretty much the same as 6224

I try to apply ACLs in interface, and I'm unable to do so.
Here's what I'm trying to do:

    coresw (config) #access - internet-out list deny ip any 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0
coresw (config) #access - list on the internet permit each

    coresw (config-if-article gi1/0/17) #ip group-access internet-output

    Error when processing the ACL.

    coresw(Config-if-Gi1/0/17) #.

    <190>MAR 25 00:37:12 10.128.101.1 - 1 DRIVER [126512544]: broad_acl.c (1611) 4% ACL not applied to 134217728 port

In this switch or on any interface on the switch, there is no other ACL.
As you can see, it is a LCD 2 lines in the 90s, who refuses to work. Basically, what I'm trying to do is filter all local ip traffic.
I'm doing something wrong here? According to www.dell.com/.../pwcnt_IP_ACLs.pdf , I can filter output destination.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I was able to test this on a M6220 and I can confirm the behavior you're seeing is a hardware limitation. IP based ACL cannot be applied evacuation. You should have no problem in applying the penetration.

  • ACL lost after reboot of the switch

I have a Dell PowerConnect 5448. I created an acl using the CLI. I have telnet'ed in the switch and created and ACLs on port 19. This works well. He does his job and even after that I reload the switch (or the loss of power of the switch), the acl on the 19 port is never lost.

I now copy the same acl using the graphical interface, using a web browser - Dell OpenManage Switch Administrator for different ports. For example, I click on Switch - network - links ACL security. I can see the acl on port 19 I created using the cli interface. I use the web gui to copy this acl in a lot of different ports. "bind acl at interface" other ports on the switch. I save the changes. But, after I restart the switch (or lose power to the switch), these "copied" ACLs are lost. I still have the original acl I have created using the CLI, but lost the ones I copied to other ports by using the GUI.

Is this a normal behavior to lose these 'copied acl"using the web gui?

I never lose the acl that I created using the CLI, but after a loss to reboot or power, I always lose the acl that I copied using the web gui. Why? Am I missing a step?

Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions!

By clicking on apply changes is just going to implement changes to the running configuration. To save the changes so that they remain after a reboot, the running configuration must be copied to the startup configuration.

    See you soon.

  • How to check an ACL is used or not in the IOS

    Hi guys,.

Do you know there is a command or delicate way to check if an access list (e.g. access-list 1) is used by any route-map, interface, etc. in the configuration?

    I have Catalyst 6509 s with IOS version 12.2 (18) SXF7

    Thank you in advance.

There is no such built-in command. But you can use pipes and filters to find where the acls are applied. For exaple the command will show ACL on interfaces:

interface ip Show | include returns | is administratively. is down. The outgoing | Incoming traffic

  • ACL question

I plan to put this ACL inside interface to the following ports prevent out of the ' net. I do not want to interrupt the other IP traffic and hoped just a validation test to ensure I have make it a law. I wouldn't ruin my inside interface.

access-list 130 tcp refuse any any eq 135

access-list 130 deny udp any any eq 135

access-list 130 deny udp any any eq netbios-ns

access-list 130 deny udp any any eq netbios-dgm

access-list 130 tcp refuse any any eq 138

access-list 130 tcp refuse any any eq netbios-ssn

access-list 130 tcp refuse any any eq 445

access-list 130 tcp refuse any any eq 593

    access-list 130 tcp refuse any any 3127 3199 Beach

    access-list 130 ip allow a whole

I don't know if I should put the "permit ip any any" at the end of the ACL or early.

the entry that allows any one must be placed at the end of the acl, as the acl works in order.
