  Here is another approach:

  Gather all your linked files and fonts help

  file-> package.

  and save it to another drive.

  Frome, open the indd file in the folder of the package and try to export PDFs.

  Hi we are generating PDF with the link url in it, if we want to use type PDF interactive to export our PDF via javascript, however, when we use below the function exportfile, it throws error:

  We use CS5.5 (7.5) and it works when changing ExportFormat to:

  Solution 2: Downsample the images after you export using Acrobat.

  1. Choose file > export and select PDF as the format, choose a location and click Save.
  2. In the export to PDF dialog box, clear the options for downsampling images.
  3. Open the PDF in Acrobat.
  4. Choose Advanced Options > optimization PDF.
  5. Set the options for downsampling in the settings of the Image pane.
  6. Disable all other options that are not needed.
  7. Click OK, and then choose the name and location to save the file.

  One thing that might help is to do a Save AS before try to export, which will remove old information to cancel and reduce the size of the file (don't forget that you have nothing that you really need to cancel first).

  This error can be caused by low memory or disk space, too. What is your operating system, the amount of RAM and how much free space on your hard drive?

• Page auto numbering problem if I export to PDF

  I use IDS 5.5 with all updates. I set up a book and when I export to PDF for print, fourth chapter numbering remains the same (namelly pages 56 and 57) although I have implemented correctly master pages with the special character of AutoNumber. If I export only this chapter as a document, it exports all right. No problem with the numbers of the pages (?). In ID, the numbers look ok. I have not tried to print directly fron ID, I guess it will print ok, but it's a very strange behavior... Thanks much for any thoughts.

  It is unlikely, that there is a problem with Acrobat, try opening this chapter only and exportingit to idml, then resave as indd.

  Microsoft has released a security MS11-087 patch which restricts access to t2embed.dll warns we Duqu like attacks in November.  It made us unable to export to PDF from the reportviewer control.  The only solution I met was allowing access to t2embed, which which would likely result in the security Duqu patch.  My users really want to export to PDF.  Is there a solution to this?

  There are different ways to export from PDF to Excel or Word. Adobe Acrobat has the built in converter. But you can also subscribe to the service export to Adobe's PDF format. After the error message, I assume that you use the service online. Still, there are different ways to use this service: you can use the interface that is integrated in the free Adobe Reader and the mobile version of reader, or you can upload your PDF file directly on the web service page and trigger the conversion it. If you use the interface embedded in the player, try to download the file. Go to http://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf

  According to my experience, download the file directly to export to PDF is much more reliable than the use of the function integrated in the drive.

  I am a beginner still trying to wrap my mind about InDesign and all its features and have encountered a problem with export to PDF. On the right, 1-4 pixels are cut off! I think my problem may be related to what has been discussed in this thread:

  But my question has nothing to do with Visio. I'm simply put PNG and JPG files that have already been created and stored locally on my computer. I found that the only way to solve this problem is to add a few columns of pixels of space white/empty in my images so that the straight line of frame in the images (created by Adobe Illustrator) appear.

  When the files came from Illustrator, use HAVE or PDF/X-4, never no raster such as PNG, BMP or JPG image. If it is printed, text and vector will be printed with the maximum resolution of printers and the quality, raster images cannot be better than the resolution of the image. PNG also supports only RGB and print it not so good, because it would be a CMYK graphic with clear black.
