NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS gives error 80070103 in Windows 7

I get an error message that NVIDIA does not work (in fact I think it is a NVIDIA customer use program of collection that has stop working). The continuous update window text box to tell me that I have to update the program. Windows Update will not update the program, I get error 80070103. I try to update manually, and I get a Windows message that says I have version to migrate most.

Hello

Check with Support NVIDIA, their drivers and documentation online and ask in their forums known issues.

NVIDIA - drivers - use OPTION 1 to manually enter your info driver to get the most recent drivers.
http://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

NVIDIA Support - check with the support that she might be a known issue
http://www.nvidia.com/page/support.html

NVIDIA forums - also check for the forums it might be a known issue or others likely to have
http://forums.nvidia.com/

=====================================================================

Also check manually using these methods.

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - graphics card - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on set to update driver
(this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with
their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), then the manufacturer of the device
site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and)
software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AS ADMIN - reset after each
installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up.
This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so
install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and try again if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check manually
by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
manually if you wish.

  • Fuzzy screen, large desktop icons, funny colours something to do with NVIDIA GeForce 8300?

One day last week when my computer loaded the color came all blurry on the screen and the desktop icons are also very big. I am running Windows Vista and I have an e-machine E4264. I tried to go into the settings and change the resolution, etc. for the screen, such as recommended, but it makes no difference. I also did a re-store to a point when the computer worked well, which was also recommended. I ran a diagnostic thing and and the following things came.

    Problems encountered:

    * NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS does not work properly

Windows has detected a problem with the NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS

    * Hardware changes have not been detected.

What is this problem and how can I solve it? Someone talk about form PC World to make a re - store throughout the system and try to reinstall windows again so it goes back to the original way it was when it was purchased.

I've been on the NVIDIA site and have installed the new version of the driver he recommended, but it has not worked. The screen has been like this for about 4 days now. Sometimes, when I load the computer is good, but most of the day I can't use it because of this problem.

Can anyone please help me or give me advice on this problem?

If updating the drivers did not work then the video card is probably a failure. The next step in troubleshooting is to uninstall, shut down the computer, install a known-working video card, install its drivers and see if things are getting better. If they are, the original video card must be replaced.

On tests of hardware failures often alleged swapping parts by parts checked. If you can not do the test yourself and/or are uncomfortable opening your computer, take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local equivalent of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad). If possible, have all your data backed up before taking the machine into a shop.

You should be happy that they're fail because generally, it is never a good idea to accept installation hardware (audio, video, network), drivers offered by Windows Update.

If you look on this error page:

    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/help/10164/i-got-an-error-code-from-Windows-Update

    It is said:

If you receive Windows Update error 0 x 80070103 while installing updates, you might be trying to install a driver is already installed on your computer or a driver that might be less compatible that you have already installed.

Microsoft does not know what are the best drivers for your system and you should only get updated hardware driver of your WWW site of system manufacturers and only when you know that the update may solve a particular problem.

There are many topics where people blindly install all the updates that are available from MS, then the find something on their system which suddenly ceased to behave (audio, video, network).

If you see these hardware driver update offered by Windows Update, that is better right click and hide them so never see again you them.

You can read this topic where I described how to keep MS you offer hardware driver updates in the first place:

  • Driver problem: Nvidia GeForce 7500 THE

Have a HP Pavilion desktop computer (a few years), with a chipset NVIDIA GeForce 7500 THE version. I got Windows 7 Ultimate installed for a few months, without any display problem.

12/27 Windows Update presented me with an optional update for the (closed since Microsoft Corporation WDDM) driver. Installed, then restarted. No problem for about 10 minutes, then the screen empties and the speakers made a loud hum. Restarted the PC and the splash screen has a pattern of lines, then a screen with zeros where lines have been, then an error screen and the PC reboots again, and I then start safe mode.

Went to the Nvidia site and installed an update of maps in the series 7 listed as 09/27. The same problem. Now Windows Update is announced an update that is recommended for the driver. He tired, but it seems to be the same driver Nvidia Septemeber, if the problem persists.

Tried to restore to before the update. Does not solve it. Then I tried to restore to a previous restore point. Startup, worse still, as Safe Mode resulted in a blank screen with the mouse pointer on.

I need to change the driver to a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter for me to be able to start the PC.

Any ideas? The graphics card is now useless, or can I fix this?

The latest driver for THE 7500 - an OEM card based on the 7300GS - covers the 26.11 nVidia 195.62. This should work well.

Your symptoms, I think that your card has failed. The latest driver gave performances superior to those of any previous but insisted on a weakened component or the omission was just a coincidence.
