NVIDIA Y580 crash

Every few hours the video card from Nvidia will stop recognized on my Y580. The driver will say that there is no Nvidia GPU and Device Manager will have Standard VGA Graphics Adapter instead of Nvidia. This disappears when I restart, but it is very annoying. Does anyone else have this problem? All I can do to prevent it? I am tempted to default of Nvidia in the BIOS, is there something wrong with that? Temperature and/or power may concern?

My Nvidia drivers are already the latest version of lenovo (my laptop came with these installed) and so far I have not changed anything in the BIOS. It seems I found the cause of the accident, I was running GPU observer gadget and once I removed that desktop crashes stopped, so I guess it has something to do with this gadget.

Have you tested the common graphics card driver that is part of the Win7?
Uninstall the graphics driver in Device Manager.
Restart the unit. Now go to Device Manager and mark the graphic card.
Then update the driver using the automatic option.
Usually the Win 7 should automatically find the most recent driver available and certified.

  • Y580 Crash, Win8

So I had no problem with my Y580 I got, but with all things technology, something is bound to screw up whatever happens because it's technology.

I was playig Mirror just for fun and without reason Edge and have been without problems, when he just stopped in the middle of everything and was the new idea of Microsoft to a blue screen of death with a little sad face (because I'm sure that's what companies want to see when they lose they work). After it reboots it is what he gave me (the same error message and the files that were on the blue screen are here).

It is the same as the box that comes to win 7 and win 8 after that application crashes. Just ignore it if it's not common.

  • Y580 - crashing/freezing

I received a new Ideapad Y580, this week, ordered to Lenovo. I was very happy with it, until I started to run programs. I've seen some people say that Mcafee caused problems, but uninstalled this day here 1 and have updated to Kaspersky Antivirus. All window updates were downloaded and installed and no viruses or malware detected after analyses.

    This is what happens:

Red Faction Guerrilla - the game will start and end play, but completely freeze within 10 minutes. CTR-Alt-Del will allow me to access Task Manager and end program.

LOTRO - this game will take place during a 1 hr - 1.5hrs, but then freezes randomly without warning. Again, Crt + Alt + Delete works, and the program can be terminated.

After program crashes, if you right-click on the desktop the cursor becomes a busy-blue-circle, the usual loading slider. However, you can still access the Start button, and the cursor will return to normal, until you scroll over the office. I also noticed the CPU usage is significantly higher after a crash and spike to 100% every few minutes, causing a brief freeze.

Things returned to normal after a reset or a stop. I had the computer since Tuesday and it broke down since the first time I ran RF:G on Tuesday night.

I hope someone has an idea about that?

Seems that the only solution is sent back for replacement. -J' called technical support, and after being tossed around for a while, I have to dismiss a case for replacement. I hope that they make sure that the new is operational because it is really a nice portable - just a bad graphics card installation/instilation, high rate of defective or something.

The customer service was great, but a little hard to understand sometimes - accents.

  • Display flicker of NVidia and crashed to a black screen on HP IQ500.UK after upgrade of Windows 8

I have a HP IQ500.UK OS computer original Vista 64 with GeForce 9300 M GS Driver version 174.62. Update of the operating system Windows 8 has replaced the driver NVIDIA version 9.18.13.0286, which is unstable for display, causing frequent display flicker every other second or so, sometimes not get back and goes to black screen. Reboot needed to recover and a phenomenon. The original driver can be deployed in windows 8? HP or Nvidia has a solution? Should I revert to original driver Vista 64?

Update: I have now the Nvidia driver works and have not had an accident in days. Here's what I did:

    1. You must stop Windows 8 tries to automatically update drivers every time it starts up because that's what's causing all the problems, to do follow this tutorial:
      http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/6cde20/automatically-updates-drivers-in-Windows-8/
    2. Then up to uninstall everything what you have loaded upward and loading the driver VGA Windows options base which is available under find it locally. Do all this in Device Manager
    3. Download the Windows 7 Nvidia driver on the HP support site - don't try Nvidia card who are not compatible
    4. Remove your ethernet cable and/or disable wireless - very important. You'll re-enable it after all this is over, but you do not want Windows to do something unexpected...
    5. Using 7-Zip or some other programs self-extracting unzip the exe that you downloaded. My memory was SP44488 or something like that (I'm at work sorry). Extract it to your desktop or something
    6. Go back into Device Manager, right click on the graphics card and select update or install drivers option.
    7. Select the manual installation option
    8. Select the diskette provided at the bottom of the screen and then go to your exe file extracted in step 4
    9. Windows will look for the name of the driver then install it from there. Your screen, wobbles a bit and you think that its going to crash but mine did not. It takes a while to load so be patient.
    10. Once loaded to reboot the machine. When it restarts it will likely screen black right now that even if you did mine has actually updated the driver to version 9, I think only the first step.
    11. Stop and try again and your father's brother Bob

I did the above and all my problems disappeared and I have the Nvidia drivers loaded. You'll see the pilot who caused all the problems turn upward in Windows Update as an optional download - INSTALLER DONT IT

Now, my PC is not the fans screaming as he did when the driver has been disabled and it is much more receptive.

    Hope this helps

    see you soon

  • Lightroom with 2 GPU (Nvidia + Intel) crashing

    Hello

I am under lightroom on a laptop powerful dell I7, windows 8.1

The laptop came with 2 GPU.

The problem is 1 day, all the nvidia driver settings are set to ALWAYS use nvidia and not intel hd.

When taking photos with the camera directly in lightroom, it hangs - Intel HD graphics driver crashes.

I tried many things, disabled intel hd (but which caused photoshop not to run, I turned it on again).

    updates the drivers later.

    Lightroom is updated later.

    try several configuration options

been to the FAQ of GPU, not help.

    nothing works.

Please help ASAP! I can't work like this!

Your laptop TFT is probably related to the Intel HD graphics path. What happens if you disable the Nvidia card, what happens then?

On most laptops the dedicated graphics card is used for the external displays only - or so also defined in the ATI/Nvidia Control Panel to to beused as GPU for applications.

What is the type of the GPU Nvidia? If it's not a real powerful, I don't better too much about, also according to the resolution of the TFT screen.

  • Firefox 20.0.1 with Shockwave 11.7.700.169 crashes when you access web pages with video content

I have a problem with Firefox 20.0.1 on Windows 7 with Shockwave flash 11.7.700.169. When I have access to a web site / web page with content that requires Shockwave (usually video) I can view the video, however, when I get out of Firefox, it will crash with "Firefox has encountered a problem - check for a solution...". ». I also have a website 'MyHeritage' that when I go to a family tree, I repeatedly receive a message "video driver has stopped working - NVIDIA driver... has successfully recovered. If I disable Shockwave, Firefox will not crash in both cases, unfortunately, I can't watch any video content.
I did go through the website of Adobe and put to day what I thought was my version of Shockwave, unfortunately that Manager for netscape V12.2 installed, I have disabled this plugin.
BTW - run Firefox in SafeMode (disabled add-on) arrested my NVIDIA driver crashing and also arrested Firefox crashing by exiting the application.

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date by using the Mozilla Plugin Check site.

Once you are there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.
If you see in the list of plugins that have a yellow button to update or a red button update now , please put to update these immediately.

To do this, click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps in the installation process.

  • Y510p - flashing screen, nvidia lost driver

So, I turn on my y510p, and it seems that the display cable is missing. Just to see the screen. I went into safe mode to discover device manager claims that there are problems with my nvidia driver. In safe mode there is no problem with the screen, so I decided that the Intel graphic works, but nvidia does not work. I downloaded the new update nvidia and deleted the nvidia since Device Manager driver. Now, I don't see that the intel and when I tried to install the new driver nvidia (not safe mode), he said that it can not detect the graphics card. I turned on the laptop to try again, but now I have trouble loading the operating system. (Win 10 64-bit). How to force to find nvidia graphics and be able to install the new driver?

Mod edit: System model added to the front of the subject line to improve visibility / clarity.

Please mark as RESOLVED. The problem was that the Nvidia driver crashed after the new update of Windows 10. Update the driver that he fixed, but it was a bit difficult in the whole mess. Thank you

  • Satego X 200-need display driver for Windows 7 64 bit

I want to install Windows7 64-bit on my Satego X 200 - 21U. So far, there is no video driver provided by Toshiba. All the other drivers available (including the real nVidia drivers) crash on the Satego.

What can I do? Someone can speed up the Toshiba to make video drivers Windows 7 64-bit reliable for Satego X 200 - 21U?

    Hey Buddy,

If you can find t 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 for Satego X 200 everything is clear: your support doesn t for Windows 7 64 bit laptop.

If you really want Windows 7 you must search the drivers yourself on other sites such as Intel, Realtek, nVidia, etc..
Alternative, you can also try similar laptops from Toshiba drivers, but no one can tell if it will work or not. Everything happens on your own risk and you should test it yourself.

Last but not least, let me give you some advice: just use the operating system preinstalled Toshiba with all drivers and tools. Who s the easiest in my opinion.

  • Computer laptop Alienware M18 close, a signal sound white screen

I have a problem with my Alienware computer. I was working and suddenly the screen blanked out, but then she came back and a small balloon pops up saying the NVIDIA card crashed, but it was fixed. A few minutes later, he crashed again and turn off the power. When I tried to start the computer, it started to beep. It does beep on beep every three seconds. He continued to beep like that for awhile. I counted 20 beeps before I turned off the computer, unplug it and removed the battery.

I'm kind of desperate. I have a Chromebook for back up but my powerhouse programs are on this computer. Anyone know what the problem is.

    Hi Gigajojo10,

Read this article and try the troubleshooting steps. If the problem persists, and the system is only to have a continuous beep (beeps and beeps once, then pause then yet once), this would indicate a motherboard failure according to the Beep Codes POST NO.

Let me know how it goes!

  • nVidia Driver Kernel error Bluscreen crashes

On the last few days my computer has been constantly crashing after posting a message "display driver stopped responding and recovered."  I've never had this problem before and it has started happening after installing a new update for my Nvidia card called "Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1 WDDM1.2 WDDM1.3 graphics card nVidia graphics card other hardware - NVIDIA Geforce GTS 450 '.  I have looked at all kinds of forums for help on the issue, but so far have had no luck.  So far I have tried:

    1. system restore to 3 weeks before the new update of the driver.
    2. clean my card drivers graphic uninstall and reinstall from the original disk factory.  I even kept the internet for this so it would not update the drivers at all and I would end up with the oldest drivers possible.
    3. I even out my graphics card and cleaned to make sure it was ok, it was pretty dusty but cleaning it does not solve the problem either.

Finally, I dropped today and changed my PC to stream its integrated graphics shit that I haven't used in years.  I don't think I'm going to crash more but I need to see.

For the record: I have NEVER overclocked anything in my computer and I never had any problems with my graphics card to play games.  The card is a Geforce GTS 450 and is about 2.5 years now.

Here are links to the last blue screen crash I've had today, including a photo of the report and the dump file.

    Memory minidump file:
    http://www73.zippyshare.com/v/89503873/file.html

If it helps at all the specs of my computer are:

nVidia Geforce GTS 450 graphics card
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
    6 GB OF RAM
Quad Core AMD processor @ 2.9 GHz

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

If you run on graphics integrated without problem, and when running on the GPU + different versions of different driver you get crashes, the video card looks like it is defective.

    Kind regards
