• Question about native and web-visible content

  Hi all, I am working on an implementation of the ODC/ODDC and AAU, but my question is about native files and web files on the content server. When I send batches analysed using my profile of validation of the ODC to the AAU, the file is automatically converted to pdf format, the content is checked and then this file is copied from the safe to weblayout file folder.
  
  Is this really necessary? I m request this because if my file size is 1 MB instead of use only 1 MB ucm uses 2 MB for the same content. The original file and the web image file is the same PDF file.
  
  Is it possible to disable the web visible version just for the PDF files?

  Yes, you can use file store provider and assign webless storage. With this, you can set up a rule and say what pdf archived (using the rule of form of consignment) such as the pdf files is sent to the PSA which does not store / create weblayout files.

  Ok. So, the answer is certainly: Yes, it is possible.

  The part of analysis, this is exactly what ODDC is good for. Unless you have the license already, however, you may have to go with the product to Capture Oracle WebCenter (large companies), which provides the necessary also.

  Regarding the validation and storage, ODDC/ODC/WebCenter Capture can commit images scanned at several depots, including University Complutense of MADRID (URM can be considered a Complutense University of MADRID with a specific purpose / several modules or components under voltage and configured). So, technically, he has no problem.

  When I have little doubt, however, is the meaning of the scenario - declaring an item as a record is an important event in the life cycle of the document - a record is often (or always) cannot be changed to ensure the integrity and non-repudiation of information. There the included utility as a component, you can select at installation time. (2.) running an earlier version of the ODC / ODDC, you can download and install it by getting the following patch: Patch: 10251855.

  We had users using the ODC in the past where a lot will not leave the queue until it is well checked in the Complutense University of MADRID.
  
  Now, we are in the process of implementation of ODDC.
  
  In ODDC, you could see that a batch is submitted by a user through the webpage webcapture; the user always sees a successful presentation of the lot.
  The batch is then delivered as one. PAK file and sent to the server the ODDC.
  
  Error during validation to the Complutense University of MADRID, the batch is kept in the engine of the ODC as seen by Batch Manager.
  But we could not find a way for the current user or Admin user to correct the index values , or return the package.
  
  Is there some features we are missing or do not know?

  Huh, there is no such thing as stupid questions, sometimes only answers are not clear enough. I should explain in more detail.
  I meant that you can manage batches that failed with the Capture of Document Oracle on the host machine, where it is installed installation ODDC (thus likely on server). Unfortunately, there is no way to manage the lots per page WebCaptureAdmin of the ODDC and no batch management can be done through the ODC. Basically, you need to configure ODC because it will be used for indexing of documents with the same parameters as in the ODDC. I was under the impression that you have ODDC installed on top of the existing installation of the ODC. You can always install on each other while taking care not to reset the database. This way, you have all the features.

  In the ODC, you had to put in place the .cab files etc. before being able to use the web client ODDC and WebCaptureAdmin to create profiles of scanning with indexing. If did not, create the profile of indexation in the ODC. Assign the same workbook used with scan ODDC profile to this profile. Like many other scan profiles/workbooks in ODDC indexing as many profiles I ODC. In this case, if fails validation of batch will be waiting indexing interface ODC under indexing profile name. Not the easiest way, but it is the only one I know.

  I don't use any macros (SCAN_ISIS_MACRO) to integrate with OFR in ODC. I'm indexing of documents and sending them to OFR. I have two questions
  (1) where can I check the metadata for documents in ODC?
  (2) if the RPO is integrated with IPM, what metadata (from the ODC or RPO) will be the application of IPM uses?

  -in the validation of profile for that control the output location. These values will be part of the name of your tiff file.

  (2) if the RPO is integrated with IPM, what metadata (from the ODC or RPO) will be the application of IPM uses?
  -in the RPO export the folder (it is configuration, in order to check the value of RTS) you should see the tiff, xml and txt files. metadata values will be part of TXT file. You should also check the section 'Manage entries' page Imaging (Imaging / http://host:16000))

  As the Desmo suggested, you should read little more on validation of the ODC profiles and OFR.

  If ODDC service did not process any file there should be at least one line in the journal (something similar to): 08/11/11 12:25:10 Service Started.

  After any file processing, there is complete track.

  I suggest go, controlled manner, step by step from the beginning.

  Turn off service the ODDC
  Send a document from the web client
  Confirm that there is a new PAK file in the ClientAcces directory
  If PAK file is present, start the service from the ODDC and PAK file should be treated and immediately erased
  Check logs ODDC. There should be full processes connected with any cause specified error

  I installed on a system win 2008 r2 std odc. The host is in AD domain. Oracle worm 11.2.0.1.0 database has been installed locally on the same host as the odc oddc on account of AD ODC_ADMIN I have initialized the database and in the Panel of the user of the odc, I have a user - ODC_ADMIN (displayed as \\DOMAIN\ODC_ADMIN). When I want to add a new user who could access odc app I don't see the domain name in the add a user window. I can add a user or group, but it is then added as \\\TEST or with 3 backslashes and of cource then left no to authenticate in odc or other components.
  
  
  Anyone know what causes this problem?

  I think that the report templates are not installed / released into the system, it is the most common reason for the option to not appear. Try the steps here.

  Go to folders-> configure--> installation check list, and then click default installation of models (even though it says ok/made) and then check out. So again, which does not contain the Menu item, go through the following steps

  Hi all
  I installed ODDC and configured with Oracle 11 g 2 for the validation of the document.
  I have table with 4 fields IE id, the c_number, the content, the mime_type. I save the image on content than the blob data type.
  When I import and send the document to WebCapture screen I get document send successfully. But the data are not engaging in the database table.
  
  The pak file are genereated in "Document / Capture/pages/ClientAcces.
  
  How I do commit these database files?
  
  I'm missing something in the configuration? Please suggest.

  Specifically, records of audit data is necessary for your traceability of actions taken against the elements of interest - which may be a legal problem. Records audit trail can be served within the app itself. See the documentation for steps on archiving of the audit trail.
