ODI SDE_ORAR1213_ADAPTOR_SDE_ORA_SLAJOURNALFACT step in 11.1.1.10.1 running forever

Hi all

I finished the field mappings and run the initial process of ETL to load the financial data in a 11.1.1.10.1 environment. Step SDE_ORAR1213_ADAPTOR_SDE_ORA_SLAJOURNALFACT worked for nearly 11 hours before an order there. I'm running on an instance of Vision of the EBS 12.1.3 and loading only 2 books with ledger_type = "Primary" and limit the list of modules of subledger to three sources of document of 200, 201, 707.

I can run this step even by using an earlier version on OLIVIER 11.1.1.8.1 and will culminate in 94 minutes and retrieve 4.5 million documents. I have not made a comparison between the SQL code of the two versions, but note the indications of database are used in the 11.1.1.10.1 version.

Any suggestions besides delete indicators? Did anyone else encounter this problem in this version?

Thanks in advance.

Post edited by: user5861392, since I tried to change the indicators but without success. Been able to skip the step from SLAJournal and workload completed without error. Will record a SR.

Thanks, I checked his stats, and which was not the issue. To correct the problem, we had to change the indicators in step so that the stage finish. I created an SR for this question and Oracle sent a MS Word document with the steps for

modify SDE_ORAR1213_ADAPTOR_SDE_ORA_SLAJOURNALFACT, which worked but took 20 minutes longer to perform the extract as our solution. However, he had completed.

    Hello

If you select AIF_FILE_PROJECT only this project xml files will be copied.

Basically these files replaced with the patch the patch.500 put a few new files instead of old one so you just need to import the project that's all.

the project name, you have to select that all xml files are present which will import.

Is choosing the path of a physical schema mapped to the logical schema DW_BIAPPS11G_LOG_FILES.

Physical schema is likely to have the value as follows - C:\\oracle\\Middleware\\instances\\instance1\biapps/log

Change this path journal of topology ODI use a bar oblique /biapps instead of backslash \biapps. Issue seems to be because \b is a special character and applies only to the windows platform.

In fact, I don't think that the error occurs in this part of the step (one of you sent the code). It's the command on the part of the target and it should arrive after loading the file. You can get the code at the stage of loading of the source and target area?

Should be a step like that.

In addition, could create another interface using the regular KM? Only for test purposes?

Stage who sent you here runs in the part of integration (insert new lines), and the only different thing it does is that if the insert cannot insert something (such as an invalid character in a number of columns or something like that) it will record the error in a table error.

  • ODI: how to trigger the error return prior to loading in Essbase?

Hi John... If you read my post, I want to say that you impress me! really, thank you for your blog.

    Today, my problem is:
-J' received a poor quality of extract of ERP data file
-J' saw the reference table (Source == > target)
-> > How to trigger the error prior to loading in Essbase!

My idea is this, (first of all, I don't know if it's a good thing, and also I have the problem to do in ODI!)
-Step 1: make the JOIN between data.txt and cross-reference Table == > create a DATA_STEP1 table in the ODISTAGING schema (columns of DATA_STEP1 are adding data.txt columns than the table of cross references (... there more than 20 columns in my case))
-Step 2: Control if there is no NULL value in the target column (NULL means that the data.txt file contains the value that are not defined in my Table of cross references) by using the filter (filter = Target_Account IS NULL or Target_Entity IS NULL or...)
The result of this interface is sent to the queue of reject.txt - if reject.txt file is not empty, then a mail is sent to the administrator
-Step 3: do the opposite: filter NOT (Target_Account IS NULL or Target_Entity IS NULL...) == > the result is sent in the DATA_STEP3 Table
-Step 4: run correctly mapping: source: DATA_STEP3 (own and verified data!) with reference Tables and send data into Essbase - NORMALLY, it is not rejected record!

My main problem is: what is the right IKM to send data in the DATA_STEP3 Table, which are the Oracle Table in my scheme of ODISTAGING or DATA_STEP1! I tone with Oracle IKM incremental update but I get error and in fact I don't need an update (which is a time trust), I just need an insert!

Create a sequence in oracle, you use the sequence in the mapping of your target.

    < %="odiRef.getObjectName" ("l",="">","","< d="" ou="" w="">") %>.nextval"

so, for example, it might be

    <%=odiRef.getObjectName("L","DATASEQUENCE","DATALOGICALSCHEMA","D")%>.nextval

Make sure that you run the mapping target or intermediary.

    See you soon

  • Using the script, Jython in ODI

    Hello
I have a requirement where I want to exploit a jython script to solve a business problem (break a string of semicolon separated into tokens). I'll call this script of ODI.

Do I need to download the jython interpreter to test my script before I use it in ODI?

How to call the script of ODI?

N ° the Jython interpreter is built into ODI. You can simply create an ODI procedure, step, assign technology as "Jython" and paste your script in the command on the target. You can then use this procedure as part of a package.

  • Steps loaded dynamically

I put to TestStand and LabVIEW to very old version level and as a result, some of my steps don't work yet.  The problem is that I can't run the rest of the sequence with the steps broken file.  The error I get suggests to change the load options step 'dynamically load' instead of 'preload begins executing.  See the attached error.  I was not able to find this option.  Can someone tell me please how to do this?

It is unlikely to solve the underlying problems, but for any step, you can go to Options to run and then there's a drop down option of loading, as shown below.

  • Bug sequence editor - dynamically rename steps

I discovered a problem with the 4.2.1 pecular the Editor display sequence of steps that should be called dynamically at run time. It might be present in other versions, but I have no way to check. I had this experience with Windows XP and Windows 7.

I've attached an example which is very easy to reproduce the problem. It does not matter what Configuration of list stage you are in.

    (1) create a new sequence

    (2) create a step declaration type

    3) switch to the view of Expressions within the parameters of the step > component property

    (4) in the Expression before, type RunState.Step.Name = Str (Find (RunState.Step.Name, "t"))

    * In theory, when you perform this step it will rename it to the position where it finds first a 't', 1.

    (5) (while in the view of Expressions within the parameters of the step > property pane), the step of copy and paste several times.

    (6) TestStand must lock the right for you. If not, stick a few times or cycle (quickly) between different steps see two.

It is not only limited to the Expression, and it seems to happen less, if you view the step settings > expressions pane, but it always seems to lock to the right. If you are in another mode (which does not appear the expression) it seems not to happen

I guess what happens is when TestStand attempts to check the expression to find errors is to get caught in an infinite loop if you recycle too quickly. However, I don't know how to work around this problem, other than slowly of switching between the steps if I consult their expressions with the concept of recursive naming.

I would like to know if this has been documented before, if it has been resolved, and if there is a better workaound.

    Thank you

    Mike powers

Control of the expressions in the expression of the syntax controls is performed asynchronously in another thread when the control of the expression containing the phrase is visible (i.e. the parameters of the expression for the expression before in your use case, are active in the step settings pane). You hit a blocking problem that has been fixed in TestStand 2012 (number 287875).

You can work around this problem, either avoiding having the control of the visible expression while making the dough, or, in the case of your words at least. You can rewrite it as follows:

    RunState.Step.Name = Str (Find (NameOf (RunState.Step), "t"))

The deadlock occurs for your particular situation due to the use of the API in the expressions for an argument to Find(). NameOf() is another way to get the name of an object without using the API in expressions.

    Hope this helps,

There is no limit other than the amount of storage space and address available. I recommend you look at how much memory you use in the Manager of tasks and avoid going too over 1 gig. 32-bit processes are generally limited to 2 to 4 concerts, depending on the operating system and version of TestStand (if you use an operating system 64-bit and TesStand 2013 you must reconcile 4 shows available, so maybe 2 to 3 concerts could be allowed). If you create blocks of memory such as large paintings, you might start to get errors memory well before 2 to 4 GB but because there is not not a big enough continuous block of address space for such a table.

    Hope this helps,

  • Why is "spent" sequence if one step inside is "Error"?

    Hello

I have a simple testplan with only a single sequence that contains a single labview teststep.

The only thing that makes the step is to create a mistake by passing a true to the Step.Result.Error.

When I run only this step then the "RunTimeError" opens a window. Then I click OK and the step is then presented as "Error" in the status column.

When I run the subsequence containing only this step then I also get the window "RunTimeError" but now, the sequence is shown as 'successful'. "."

Why does this happen? What is the normal behavior teststand?

No, I expect this behavior, unless you click 'Ignore' the error on the RunTime dialog box.
