Hello
I removed office 2000 proffesional and it deleted the program printing and scanning. Do you know if there is a separate program from microsoft or how I can install just part of the office.
Thank you
Jeff
Hi Jeff,
To provide the proper resolution, I would need more information on your side.
1. What is the number of brand and model of the printer and scanner?
2. what program you were using before you print and scan?
I suggest to try the procedure described in the article and check if it contributes to printing and scanning.
Use your computer to print, scan, fax

Error: "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 Professional.
How can I get rid of the message "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office 2000 Professional". Apparently, the system does not find a valid source for this. To my knowledge, I have not downloaded this software even though I must admit that it does not appear in my list of software. I tried to remove the screws of the Panel control, but to no avail.
Thank you for your response. I have now solved the problem by deleting the installation, using the cleanup utility.
However, I appreciate you trying to help me.

Need MS Office 2000 sr - 1 Premium CD
I don't know what I did to my computer, but whenever I click on a video, I wonder in MS Office 2000 Sr - 1 Premium CD. If I click on "Cancel"I still get to see the video. ". But it's annoying to have to click on 'Cancel' all the time. I went to the Microsoft page, the info was there for download, but it is not download. How can I get this download?
If you have the Office 2000 installation CD and product key - go to control panel and add or remove programs and uninstall/remove Office 2000 (Microsoft Office 2000).
You can install it again later.
See if that solves your problem for now. If so, good. You can work on Office 2000 installation later. Although, to be honest with you, OpenOffice is free and WAY better than Office 2000.
If you want to install Office 2000 instead of something that could actually open files Microsoft modern Office (see the OpenOffice link above), you can. Install from the CD.
Reset.
Download and install Office 2000 Service Release 1 (SR - 1a).
Reset
Download and install the Office 2000 Update: Service Pack 3 (SP3).
Reset.

Try to remove Microsoft Office 2000 Premium to computer
Windows Installer starts and ask the "Microsoft Office 2000 Premium" disc to continue. I have not, as I do not know how this program came on the computer. Cancel the installation and it will recycle in order to continue to try to find and install Microsoft Office 2000. I try to run "Add or Remove Programs" and it gives an error message. I can't delete or fix this program.
It gives an error message like "Code Error 1706".
And if I keep digging and try to find things it says the file 'Data.MSI' could not be found.
Download this file anywhere to get this program on the computer?

Windows error message: fatal error during Microsoft Office 2000 Setup
Virus protection removed a Trojan horse. Therefore, Office 2000 is damaged. From Control Panel - Add/Remove program, I tried to fix it using the Office 2000 disc but it hangs as it tries to set up. He ends up giving error - installation failed due to a fatal error. Operating system is Windows XP

Uninstall office 2000 premium with the disc
When I turn on my computer a pop says I need to insert MS office 2000 premium to use the program. I don't want to use it and I am not able to uninstall without the disc!
You can remove the popup and forget to uninstall Office or use Revo Uninstaller. To stop the popup, delete startup entries that refer to MS Office.
Start > run > msconfig [Enter]
This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

Office 2000 CD Key no longer works
Caused by a virus, my local computer store had to remove my hard drive & reinstall my OS (XP). I am now trying to reinstall my software & have a problem. My CD key for Office 2000 does not work. It is written on the original card, I got in the case of CD when I purchased the product, but now the system will not accept it. The local store says they have nothing that they can do (legally), and I surfed the Web & found all sorts of free programs that will focus on the programs installed, but nothing on the CD. Is it possible to retrieve this code, or as I've also royally screwed as I begin to think that I am?
Make sure that you type the code correctly, sometimes a B can resemble an 8 etc.
Check the product key. TaurArian [MVP] 2005-2010 - Update Services -
