office 2010 product activation

Hello

I recently bought an Ideapad z580 who had microsoft office pre-installed on it. When I tried to activate the product with the windows product key on the sticker on the base of the laptop computer, windows tells me that the activation key is 'not a key office product valid'.

How can I sort this so that the office is registered?

Thanks for your help.

You must purchase a product key Office separately. One you found is the windows product key, I think. Newegg has a Home Office and Business product key only (no disc) to 159.00. If necessary, you can download a trial version of Office and use the Office product key, you must purchase to activate it.

    Hello

    No, this isn't the Office product key, it is the Windows product key. Your machine has preinstalled TRIAL version. If you want to continue using it you have to buy the electronic identity card. I really hate this practice from suppliers and ALWAYS uninstall the trial version on my computers. Please visit the following link to buy the product key.

  • Office 2010 is activated is over after the blackout.

    Help!  My PC not boot to Windows office 2010.  The alert said that I need to activate (that I already running since I bought the PC), to buy (I try to avoid doing this because I've already paid for it) or try for a free month.  Is there a way to check if in fact ONLY my office 2010 is no longer active, when other systems installed at purchase (there are 18 to 24 months) still work?

    Thanks for the help!

    Original title: my power is out yesterdat.  When my power is back, my Windows office 2010 is activated is no longer.  How can I get that back without having to pay for it?

    Turn off the computer, start it again, just as the system loads the Windows operating system; Press the [F8] key function 8 on your keyboard which will launch the menu Advanced Boot Options. Select the feature last good known configuration.

    If Office is not turned on, you can try the activation of the phone:

    Tried to open Microsoft Office 2010 as usual, but said to give the product key to activate it.  Mine is on a sticker on the bottom of my laptop.  Unfortunately it is place to be where it is that some of the numbers have disappeared over time.  Now I can read only the last 15 digits.

    I'll lose more than a year of work, if I can't get this sort.

    Thank you.

    The label on the bottom of your laptop is not for the office. It's your Windows license key. It should say Windows 7 Home Premium above the numbers.

    Most of the HP machines come with a trial of office unless order you it with more full Office and pay extra. The trial usually actually works after the period 60 day trial - unless you do a recovery. After a recovery it will require you to buy a license key to use.

  • ThinApp mailing - Activation Office 2010 issue

    Hi all

    I'm new to this community, so forgive me if I did not follow the normal protocol with this discussion.

    Basically I have Thinapped a piece of software called Civica App. The software itself works well until I try to use the mail merge with MS Word 2010. Our Office 2010 Pro, use KMS activation and is installed in the base image. The suite Office 2010 products see the activated when launch you them manually in the VDI environment, so I know KMS works well.

    When we run the mailing of the Civica App Thinapp he launches Word 2010, merges the data into the Word template, and then launches the Office 2010 Installer. The installation program will fail and then we get the infamous "Microsoft Office is unable to verify the license for this application. A repair attempt failed or was canceled by the user. Message will now close the Application.

    Isolation mode is only passed in full to the merged on the folder %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto folder/sup and allowed the software write in the itinerant/persona user profile when creating new merger model files and mail (because it is where the software Civica App writes this file). MS Word 2010 features installed for the mailing and they work fine.

    I applied 2 fixes in VMWare KB1022287. I realize account this article talks of when Office 2010 Thinapped himself, but the symptoms are the same. I placed this code in the file config.xml and re-installed Office 2010 in the base image, no luck there:

    "< setting Value ="kmsserver.domain.com"/ >"
    < value = "1" / >

    I also copied and pasted the "Office2010-Osppsvc - Keys.txt" registry entries at the top of the file HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.txt of the Civic App files project and re - build the application.

    There was a suggestion to put the software to the base image, but I have another application with the same problem. This software is by computer based on licensing, so that it can not all put in the base image.

    Note: If I run the App Thinapp Civica on a physical Windows 7/Office 2010 Pro Plus machine, it works fine.

    I am out of ideas now, just so you seek advice if anyone else has experienced this?

    Thanks - Steve.

    OK, if you use civic App ThinApp package with natively installed Office 2010, and on some machines, you get a license error. By default, civic App Launches native binaries of Office in the virtual environment. You can modify package.ini to run Winword in the native environment, and I hope that the license error can be avoided. For example:

    VirtualizeExternalOutOfProcessCOM = 0
    ChildProcessEnvironmentExceptions = Winword.exe
    ChildProcessEnvironmentDefault = virtual

    Here's an example of doing something similar:

    Have you created a. MSP for your installation of Office 2010 by using Microsoft Office (setup.exe/admin) customization tool?

    Inside the customization tool, you can specify your product key MAK and under the heading "Add installations and run programs", you can add the script to activate it then install (screenshot of fixation).

    Once you create and save your. MSP file just put it in the \Updates folder and it will automatically reference the. MSP when you run setup.exe.

    This is how I do it on the model, and then users won't be prompted to activate.

    One Office 2010 product virtualized family may not start or end with an error, if deployed on an operating system that was already a component of Office 2010 installed in native mode. To do this, file a request for assistance from VMware Support and quote this article (1022287) Knowledge Base ID in the description of the problem. For more information, see how to submit a request for assistance.

    Yes, there is a limitation at the moment. However, there is a patch available with the next version of ThinApp, where you can have locally installed Office 2010 and the 2010 virtualized packages.

    We have installed Office 2010 on a system that died & want to move the software for my new system.  How to reactivate my product key Code

    Assuming that you had bought a copy of the sale at retail of Office 2010 (i.e., it not was not preinstalled by the manufacturer of the computer or downloaded and installed using a "product key card"), just install it on the new system and turn on normally.  In some cases, you may use telephone activation and explain the circumstances (i.e., the old computer is dead).

    Microsoft Office is not a step "off authorizes" as some other apps (Adobe comes to mind).

  • How to back up and restore Office 2013 product key or registration / activation file

    Warning:  I posted this on Microsoft several 'community support Sites' and if I have yet to have a real Microsoft tech support address the question of the MAN, several 'MVP', but nobody has yet come with an entirely feasible answer, although they tried. One of the guys who posted something (after that I showed him proof that there is such a thing as a Dell OEM version supplied to MS Office Home & Business 2013 - originally, there was no such animal) was that I should "go back to Dell and ask them" so here I am. My original message is copied and pasted below...

    I myself have read almost blind in the last 3 days and several hours now and I still cannot get to a definitive answer so I'll rephrase the question: How can I be save the Home Office & Business 2013 'activation file"(or token) or discover and extract the full product key for it?  After that I upgraded my Windows 8.1 Professional (32-bit) Dell to win 10 Pro I had horrible crash problems. It is obvious that I have to reformat and start from scratch. I managed to get the 10 Pro Windows product key using the latest version of Belarc Advisor but I'm hit a brick wall on my installation of Office Home & Business 2013. Not only is the Dell OEM version but I had to go through Microsoft once to get a new (replacement) product because of a problem earlier, key and since it is the OEM version there is no trace of it on "my account / Office products ' Microsoft page. apparently if you don't buy the commercial version, the product key is not registered there (but it is fully registered and operational, of course). Per this Microsoft article https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Find-your-Office-product-key-after-installation-026bc81b-6b2f-4052-b433-f41e6cc31c5a?CorrelationId=ca7068f2-6a47-4d71-942c-10591d4b00ec&ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US and the Belarc program I can (and subsequently have) found the last 5 characters of the Key but that's not going to do me any good after the re-install unless I have the rest of them. I also tried all the other "key finder" programs suggested in countless other articles and none of them can find the key to the Office Home & Business 2013, or I couldn't do it in hacking / record research.  Simply, I can't believe that Microsoft has not made a provision for backup then restore a specific file "token" with the necessary info in it or extract the necessary key Code so that the Bureau could be reinstalled in the current scenario.  If all goes well a MS employee or some other Expert of the Office can provide concrete information, step by steps on how to do it.  Thanks in advance.

    I sincerely hope that the other guys on the Microsoft Forums sent me in the right direction here; as the pesky Key Code for office 2013 has got to be stored in an accessible location (it is not on any Microsoft server that is accessible by our end users, that's for sure) and there must be some program or methodology around there to recover and decode the thing so it may be reinstated when the program is reinstalled...

    This is the only place you will get your key. Finders key as Advisor of Berlarc do not give the full product key 25 digits unlike Office 2010 and earlier versions.

    Main finders are useless for Windows 10 family as the free update uses based device activation and key finders will signal a generic product key. See here:
