  My HP laptop running on Windows 7 Home Basic 64-Bit. I have Microsoft Essentials antivirus. All icons on the desktop has changed to display the logo of Word (W). When I try to open programs, they all open the new document page in Word with "File Conversion - explorer.exe" dialog box. This happened after I inserted a borrowed Memorystick. Why can't I clean my pc with Microsoft Essentials?

  If you can access the internet in any way, If you use Windows 7, go to http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/19449-default-file-type-associations-restore.html. and run the program to restore the EXE and possibly LNK file associations. That should restore your programs.

  Make sure that the firewall is not trying to block it.

If so, and if you can't go to questions, then you will need to contact the sender of the document because they can remove it and return you the document.   I am new to APEX and in the thorough step 'Application two days Express Developer's Guide.
  
  I have Oracle XE with APEX 3.1.2 installed.
  
  I have a file called test.gif stored on my C:\logo\test.gif logo
  
  The question is what is the step to display this logo on all pages for each application (I could build applications in the same workspace, and I like the same logo to all pages for each display application).
  
  I have extensive air manual and this forum and cannot always understand.
  
  Here is what I tried:
  
  -Click on an app that I created in Application Builder
  -Click on "shared components".
  -Files-click == > Images and upload my C:\logo directory test.gif
  -Return to page 'Components of the part' == > Logo and select / access to the following values:
  > logo type: image
  > logo: /i/test.gif
  > logo attribute: width = "100" height = "20" alt = "Company Logo".
  
  Save the changes. When I run my application, the company logo displayed as 'x' icon.

  You wanted a step by step so that is.

  I'm not 100% sure but I think that you are having a bad "file extension association. This is where the default program to open a file is incorrect. In the case of your office, these are all shortcuts (for example. LNK files) and the. LNK Association was by mistake coupled with Photo Viewer.

  I have a jpg file which contains the logo of the company, which must be displayed on the top left corner of the page. It's on APEX 3.2 on XE 10 g
  
  For this purpose, I went into the defintion entered and shared components application tab

  as the name of the image. I also downloaded the image file under file > > link images.
  
  After doing all the steps above, when I run application it does not display image at all. It displays than typical cross checked container which would indicate the absence of an image on the page.

  I just installed 22 updates, the previous update is maybe a week... and when the machine rebooted WIN 7, all my icons to the taskbar disappeared, the wallpaper was different and all but some desktop shortcuts have been removed. It is a disaster.

  You can restore them by right-clicking somewhere on your desktop, not taskbar... on your background screen... then go to customize and then click on "Change Desktop Icons" on the left bar then check the box for icons that you want to appear on your desktop, then click on apply, then ok...

  Then they should appear... If they haven't then click right on your desktop again then go to view, then make sure that "show desktop icons" are checked.

  The other missing shortcuts, you will need to create manually... If you need help then let me know...
