  Looks like Windows is damaged, or Windows has been infected by a Virus or a Spyware/Malware, which is usually caused when you open a bad email attachment, or run bad software as a keygen.

  Start safe mode (press F8 before Windows starts) and go back to a previous Restore Point.

  Then try to fix the file system. Go back into safe mode and go to a command prompt (execute cmd.exe) and run "CHKDSK C: F.

  If this does not work, you must back up your data and run recovery (hold down the zero key when you turn on the laptop).

  To help you to save your data, you can temporarily restore the desktop by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE, select Task Manager, find all instances of "explorer.exe" in the process, right click on explorer.exe tab and select "end process". Then in the Task Manager, go to file-> Run and run explorer.exe. Usually, this resets the office.

  lysdexic01, I know almost exactly what you describe on my screen of iTunes Store recently updated for Windows 7 64-bit. Only difference is that the icons in the black box are invisible until I move the mouse above them, their location by trial and error. Once activated, the icon remains visible. Each found icon flickers at first, but stops flashing if I pass the mouse over it.

  I think that the store is now functional and useless for those of us experiencing this problem. Other users have reported that their iTunes store screen flickers since they updated iTunes to the latest version, but most did not mention the area big black screen that you and I see.

  So far, Apple seems not to believe that there is a problem with the software to update iTunes. It is therefore important that users continue to report these problems to Apple that there are enough complaints for attention even during a week of office party.

  I'm not quite sure what could cause this but maybe you should try to change the wallpaper?

  -Right click on the desktop,
  --Select Customize and then you can see the background option to display at the bottom of the customization window.

I was getting several lines back when I scanned and copied files (not when you printing from the computer, seems to only happen when I use the feed. I did what others said and it disconnected a surge protector and left it unplugged for two hours. After, lines of light disappeared but a dark one is still there.   The document here can help solve the black lines to scan using the ADF on your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.  From my experience this is almost always caused by a specification on the thin glass on the side left which is used for scanning using the ADF.  Cleaning of this area as described in the above document should solve the problem.  If the initial cleanup does not resolve the problem, it can help to shine a bright flashlight almost parallel to the glass.  For a line on the left side of the printed page, the place will be toward the front of the printer, if the line is on the right side of the document, it must correspond to a specification to the rear of the printer.

  I have a MacBook (early 2011) with a single office shared between two monitors - with one hand on the internal screen and the other half on a Dell 23 inch. The Dell is my first when I use both at the same time. • Office Jet Pro 8500 black ink cartridge will not print

  black ink does not print and alignment fails.  I cleaned the printheads through all the levels.  The colors print perfectly but black will not print.  I have reset the printer, run test pages, but still no black ink and unity trys to align, but fails.  The unit is no longer in warranty.

  When I connect my desktop icons are gone. I get the message:
