Office jet 4500 G510-g, the imaging device not found

I have an Officejet 4500 with a wired Ethernet connection. For some reason any, that my computer has ceased to be able to scan from it, I can still print and everything very well. I don't remember to make changes to the system and other computers on the network can always analyze without any problem. I restarted my computer, unplug the printer, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, active windows firewall settings and cannot find any reason why it won't work. I am running Windows 7 64-bit on the computer that does not work, the other computers on my network that still work are running windows 7 64 bit and XP. On the "HP Imaging device not found" error message that opens under more information, I get this: 8 [(1, 0,-2147221496)]

I've lived the HPSDU and he said: there is a problem with the driver and he cannot communicate with the product. He said also it is impossible to scan with windows WIA, and finally it's the Twain component may be damaged. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, re-downloaded the Installer off the HP site several times, but can not solve this problem. Help, please.

Hi crakerb,

When you click on the plus sign on the error message is that all of the information it provides?

Because you can not install the printer using the USB connection, it seems to have some problems with the operating system on this computer. Did you back up your data and perform a full system recovery?

  • HP Deskjet 3054: Printer works but not the Scanner (device not found)

Configuration: Windows 8 Lap Top with a HP Deskjet 3054 directly connected via USB

    Printer - it works

Scanner - when you run the Application "Hp Scan and capture ' it comes back and says"device not found ".

I tried - I ran 'HP print and scan doctor '.   Everything is OK except the "HP Scan".  He said that it was not able to find the HP Scan software on my computer.   When I went on HP customer support site to download it, I couldn't find it.  There is nothing that I could see which says "HP scanning software".   So this software HP Deskjet full functionality and drivers what I should download and install?

BTW, the "HP Scan and Capture" application allows to work perfectly.  Not sure why it isn't now.

    Hello

When changed the type of network to a USB connection? scanning HP and Capture app support network scanners, it does support a USB connected device:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03478505

In the HP Deskjet 3050 software select scan a Document or Photo and check if this can work...

If the same persists, unplug the USB, uninstall the HP Deskjet 3050 basic software drivers from programs and features, then download and reinstall the most comprehensive software features again.

If you prefer to continue to use the HP Scan application capture &, open the HP Deskjet 3050 software, click the utilities tab, click the printer installation software & and select Convert USB wireless to connect the printer to your network. then the Scan & Capture app should detect the scanner.

  • Analysis fails, HP imaging device not found

    Photosmart B209a-m. Windows 7

I had this all together to the top and a power problem and sort of work broken installation. I have the printer as a wireless network device and it worked fine for months. After the power glitch, I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled and had no chance to get scanning to work. I downloaded the latest HP drivers (full version). I recycled power to the printer and the router and restarted the computer. The HP print and scan doctor said that the scanning driver can not talk to the printer. Printing works fine.

I originally had the printer hooked as a USB printer and then converted to wireless. So, I repeated the process. I installed as printer USB, everything worked. I then rebooted everything and retested and everything was good. So I ran the conversion from USB in wireless on the Setup option. It worked well, and after unplugging the USB cable, scanning still worked. Be!

But I then rebooted and now scanning fails again with the same error, cannot find the HP imaging device. Printing works fine. The network of diag test shows no problem. The HP Print and Scan doctor suggests I do the reboot and reinstall I just went through without result. I reinstalled the drivers 4 times without success, except when the first installation in USB and then converting to wireless but that was transient.

I don't know what I can do? In addition he keeps popping up of the error messages that is REALLY annoying.

I thought about it. He seems to have been a configuration of printer/router error affecting scanning.

The first time that I have configured the wireless printer, I have used the Wi - Fi Protected Setup between the printer and my Cisco/Linksys router and everything worked fine.

For that reconfigure, I let the printer installation software manage the negotiation and Setup. He passed all the tests and print worked fine but scanning does NOT.

I went in the touch panel printer and Wi - Fi protected setup initiated and supported on the Cisco configuration button. The printer and router negotiated and digitization of works. I shut down my computer and restarted it and scanning always works. I think this is now resolved.

It seems that drivers scanner use another method wireless printing.

I'm surprised/disappointed the HP print and scan doctor could not understand this. In addition, NOWHERE there at - it a suggestion to try to renegotiate the Wi - Fi Protected Setup between the printer and the router. Check the cables, recycling power, reinstalling drivers are all suggested, but nowhere is a step obvious allusion. I spent hours doing useless things and the real difficulty was simple and has taken every 1 minute.

  • Impossible scanner with mac os lion with office jet 4500 g510-m

I am able to install the printer (connected via the network), but I don't get to see the scan tab, as mentioned in many forums or faq on the hp Web site. I've also updated the driver at 2.8 using the apple software update function.

You should be able to scan using connection network, Yes.

Any Apple device uses the Bonjour service to detect devices on the network.

Hello relies on the Protocol mDNS, which must be supported and enabled by your router.

In order to isolate the cause, I suggest you try without going through your router and check any changes:

Connect the printer directly to your Mac by Ethernet cable, wait a minute or two until the connection will be established.

Click on the sign more and check if you can see the printer as pie now.

Please let me know if you could see the aircraft through a direct link.

If you can see, please specify your model of router as well.

  • Office Jet 7612: Scan of the computer does not work after you win 10 improvement

One of my clients has an officejet 7612 and has improved to win 10 to win 8 and lost the "Scan to PC" features themselves the printer he used for years to create his PDF files.

Print and scan drivers seem to work to scan and print from the computer to the printer, but the printer software that was authorized to create PDF and JPEG of the scanner and send them to the computer doesn't seem to work.

Is there any solution for this?

Y at - it another way easy to make PDF files or is this feature lost with the upgrade?

    Shane Valcich

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP forum.

You can download and install the software COMPLETE features of HP printing for your operating system:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-OfficeJet-7610-wide-format-e-all-in-one-series/5153788/model/6879040#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930O2

Once you have downloaded and installed the software, FULL of features, you will be able to print and scan.

    How to scan to computer

To scan from printer to computer, you need to install the printing software full of features first.
Once you have installed the software,

    1. click the printer (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP printer Assistant.
    2. in the menu analyze, there is a 'manage Scan to Computer', click on that.
    3. make sure that 'enable' the Scan of the computer. Also check the tab "Automatically start Scan of the computer when I connect Windows" is to check if you want to have this feature permanently. (an example is shown below)

    Hope that helps.

  • 15 15 HP - r208nl: start the device not found error (3FO)

    Hello

I have this laptop from less-than-one-year-old (this guy: http://icecat.us/us/p/hp/l0n16ea/laptops-0889296492238-15-r208nl-26524145.html) and I have the Boot Device not found error infamous.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but the problem occurred a few weeks after the upgrade to Windows 10 (when bought, laptop had Windows 8.1, probably an update of Windows 7).

Also, I noticed this basic operation to during the priming phase take a long time. For example, when I press F10, it takes about 1-2 minutes to bring up the BIOS configuration screen.

There are a number of similar questions on this forum, but the proposed solutions do not apply to my case or simply do not work. Here's what I've tried so far, without success:

    • hard reset
    • reinstalling the hard drive
    • automated tools in the Recovery Manager (this tool you access by pressing F11 at startup) *.
    • chkdsk and identical from the command prompt (to which I have access from the Recovery Manager tool) *.

Note that even if the material for the HP PC Diagnostics tool failed hard drive test, apparently I can access my files on the hard drive of a Linux Live CD/USB (I managed to access it during a previous attempt, do not know if it can be reproduced).

I can't test the drive on other PCs (which I have another laptop which I can plug the drive may be defective), not I can try to connect another hard drive non-offending for verification (as I did not).

    Any suggestion?

They gave me no installation CD/DVD (I guess I had to use the recovery partition). In case I need a new installation, how can I retrieve my serial number?

the hard drive is not accessible, I can't access Recovery Manager simply by pressing F11, I had to use a USB recovery media

CHKDSK and even produce this error message: "cannot open volume for direct access.

It looks like your hard drive is not/is a failure. Guarantee would provide a new replacement - and probably send recovery media free since did you not make it yours.

You can make a Windows 10 usb or dvd using the free download of Ms. No license key is necessary since it has been activated at the same time on the machine.

  • Why do I see "device not found" airport Admin?

I have an AirPort extreme and my parents have a TimeCapsule. They are both showing the message "device not found" in the administration of the airport. We tried cycling power etc. Our networks still work, however we can not connect to manage and backups of my parents stopped. Is anyone else seeing this?

You have Back to My Mac configured on your AirPort Extreme? If so, disable it.

This issue was widespread in the last days. We are all waiting for an answer / difficulty of Apple.

  • Device not found, but internet work

I have an Airport extreme with a capsule 2 TB that I use as a backup file.

All of a sudden I can't connect to the airport time capsule. When I launch the airport utility, there is an orange triangle/exclamation point that fits the description "device not found". The router works well, since I am connected to internet (at this time).

I tried to unplug the unit and time capsule comes back for about 2-3 minutes until the same problem occurs again. Factory of Soft and hard resets produce the same results. I know this isn't my macbook pro because it does the same thing on my phone as well.

You have Back to My Mac configured on the TC with your AppleID?

This has happened to me and when I removed my AppleID and disabled Back to My Mac it ceased to occur and the TC became visible again.

I hope that Apple will fix this soon but it would pay record a call of support with Apple on this topic as well.

  • Airport Time Capsule device not found

I have the time Capsule on the airport of the TB 3 802.11ac (bought 9/2014).  It integrates the latest version of the 7.7.7.  Just last week, I received the error device not found (.. .has been previously a part of your network... etc.).  The internet connection is always good and the component of the time capsule router still works.  When I unplug the device, it can find him but eventually will go down in a few minutes.  I also did a warm reboot, but some results.  Printer connected to the time capsule does not, nor does Time Machine back ups.

Would be grateful of any advice on why the drive not found error continues to occur.  Thank you!

You have Back to My Mac enabled on the Time Capsule?

If so, turn it off for the moment in the AirPort Utility and restart the time Capsule.

  • device not found Boot, hard disk does not exist... does that mean my computer is dead?

Suspecting that Im in a world of pain here. I tried to turn on my computer and it says "boot device not found" - performed in test failed... when I hit F4 and test drive, he said "there is no hard drive. The test of memory passes, but under the boot device not found says blue "Please install an operating system on your hard drive"... and to make matters worse he makes funny sounds when he tries to start.

Is there no hope at all that this computer working again? Is there a chance that everything I had on my hard drive can be recovered?

You are the very welcome, Jonathan.

dv5 is still not enough information to provide me with the service manual (in which case there is differerent for different dv5 models).

But here is the link to the service manual I've pulled at random.

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c01550108/c01550108.PDF

Guess it's safe to say that all dv5 models come with the laptop SATA drives.

So, if you want to spring for $15, you can get this place that apparently has very good reviews.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817182138

From what you describe (noise and other things), I would say that you don't have much chance of recovering the data, but it's up to you if you want to try the speaker or not.

    Here's what I recommend:

Pull the hard drive and turn on the laptop.

If the weird noise you heard has disappeared, then you can pretty much assume that the disc was the cause and replacing the disk and reinstalling the operating system will solve the problem.

If the noise is still there, while there could be another problem, and it might be risky to throw good money after bad.

    I have an Office Jet 4500 G510n and a MacBook Pro 15 2006 2 late model, worm 10.6.8

I checked the drivers and all I saw were for the Page 'extra '...
