  I am a new Member. I have an Office Jet 6600 printer all-in-one. The instillation disk will not load because I have windows 8 and it works on XP etc. I know that there is a patch or fix somewhere to get the loading disc because I had to work until my laptop crashed and I reset it.  How to operate on Windows 8?

  1. on the control panel press the right arrow key, and then the configuration icon.

  2. press on the down -arrow, then Preferences.

  3. touch Date & time.

  4. set the date & time.

  I want to help you to scan to email with your Officejet 6600. Are you able to scan the computer rather than the scanning to e-mail? I would like to see if we can reach the scan of your email and send it like that. This will help determine if the problem is in the scan file itself, or the scanning to E-mail process. I can't help but wonder if the analysis file is maybe great to email. Description you looks like you have the scan in the email, but cannot send it.

  Please let me know if you can then send via e-mail after the have set from the computer, as opposed to scan directly to e-mail.

  I understand that you receive an error message on the screen of your 6600 HP Office jet printer. I'd be happy to help you with this.

  Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  Whenever I try to copy or scan I get an error message "Unable to scan, copy or send a fax."  I tried all the solutions, and none of them works.  I have spent a whole day on this problem and still have no solution.  It prints very well.

  Installed the disc that came with it and saved - now can't find Readiris Pro 12 on the computer - searched all files - where it installs? There is an icon on my desktop for I.R.I.S. Resource Center - but nothing for the program.

  I have another printer HP (laserjet) came with a separate disc of Readiris pro 12 - but when I tried to install it on the second computer (not being able to find on this computer) - he told me I could only install once - I had already done on another computer.  Help, please. Thank you, vellenw

  Readiris Pro 12 software only comes with some model printers. I don't think that it is with the 6600 JO. It would have been on a separate disk. IRIS OCR software is included and can provide scanned text editable (RTF file)

  I understand that you have some problems with the scanning of your 3630 e-all-in-one printer Deskjet 10 Windows PC. I can help you with that.

  The printer doesn't have a button to scan on the front of the printer. If you want to scan, you have to open the scan on your PC software. You should have an icon on your desktop or in your programs with a name similar to the set of Deskjet 3630. If you do, run to find the scanning software. If you do not, you can download the latest drivers and software by clicking this link.

  "I get the following message is displayed on my printer" print head seems to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed.  I followed all the instructions on how to solve this problem, but nothing works.  I read once that if the problem persists there is no solution and place the printer needs to be replaced.  Can anyone confirm this or yo know a fix?

  If the printer does not clear the error message reset you need a new printer.

  The app you will scan documents using your ipad and attach them directly to emails.

  Nevermind, I found the answer on another Board.

  On the pop-up to scan.

  change source setting of "use document feeder"to always scan from glass""

  Then allows the resolution to be adjusted up to 1200 dpi

  (600 dpi is a good setting for more details in the old photos)
