Office Jet 8600 Plus: Office jet 8600 preparation for shipping

I need to pack and ship the printer and I can't find the instructions for the preparation of the print cartridges as the system came out of the factory box when new.  Is it better then shipping a printer used with ink cartridges installed?

It took a little more effort, but I learned from HP support you should ignore the warning of damage during an attempted turn off the printer without any installed printcartridges, because it's actually the best way to transport the printer without ink cartridges that are loaded in the printer.  They must be packaged separately, as they were when the printer was new.  I hope this helps you answer future questions like this.

Our office has 10 licenses for Adobe Acrobat Pro.  One of our computers crashed so we want to deactivate the license and reinstall on a new computer.  How can we check the serial number on Acrobat Pro installed on each computer to determine what serial number is now unused?  I don't want to die with the computer software

    Hi John,.

It is not possible to disable the license from one computer crashed or possible to check which serial number has been used on computer because they are encrypted.

A retail license is good to be installed on 2 machines. I checked your account and found 4 different serial numbers of Acrobat registered for your account.

It is always suggested to buy a volume license, if you have more than 2 machines instead of buy 4 different serial numbers.

I checked all the serial numbers entered and you have sufficient activation count remaining to cover all your machines.

    Kind regards

Follow the steps listed in this article to resolve the problem:
  • Every time I open a file in Media Player 11, I get a dialog box telling me that Windows Installer is "preparation for installation.

Whenever I open a file in Microsoft Media Player 11, (11.0.5721.5280) I get a dialog box telling me that Windows Installer is "preparation for installation.

He tell me what it is trying to install and crashes

    No media plays back.

Cancellation does not - it retrys with encouraging them. The only way to get rid of the dialogue is Ctrl/Alt/Del and end task. It also closes WMP11

    I just installed Office 10

I ran the repair of Office 10

    I uninstalled WMP11 and reinstalled

I ran "Fix IT" page Support MS

I run MS Security Essentials... It is to this day and I run a full scan

    I think you meant:

"a. initially, box run, type"msiexec /unreg", and then press ENTER."

I did and it helped somewhat. Message anyway, but he went and the media played.

    If I did:

"(b) then type" msiexec/regserver"and press ENTER."

    The problem comes back

I went a step further and ran a restoration of the system to the day, I installed Office - it worked.

  • Preparing for first use Outlook.

I applied office 2013 models and my user settings seem to be saved, but whenever I run outlook from a new non-persistent session application, it crosses the minute 5 "preparing for first use Outlook."

Is this typical? any ideas how to make so that it can start normally as it would have done with the former manager of profile?

    Ok thank you

Have you created an EMU config file to save the. OST /. With EMU PST file? If this isn't the case, would this then, that every time that you start Outlook, PST/OST files is created (preparation for first use Outlook)?

The best way is to redirect your. OST /. PST file in the network or the user's home directory. (so if possible, try to find out why Outlook ignores your redirection)

  • How should I prepare for El Capitan 10.11.2?

    Hi all

As the title asks, how should I prepare for this upgrade?

I had already installed El Capitan 10.11.0, but quickly returned to 10.10.5 after discovering several problems:

1 (2 x 1 x POP, IMAP) e-mail accounts - problems with lack of mailboxes, mail lost, unable to send mail, etc.

    2. Time Machine backups were not held as scheduled when my iMac end of 2013 has been plugged into my ups APC.

    3. casual does not recognize my USB Superdrive.

After the restoration of my old system of Time Machine, I followed several thread on these forums to see what others have experienced with the 10.11.2 release.

My iMac does not have any third-party software with the exception of my HP ENVY 4502 print utility.

How should other ensuring that Time Machine backs up current, I prepare for this facility to ensure that I do not lose important emails from my accounts {2 x iCould (IMAP) and Comcast (POP3) 1 x}?

You know, honestly until that Apple's software team act together and reflection on the QUALITY rather than pretty flowers I'd wait for a few weeks to a month.  Or, at least until more people have put to date to see if there are problems.

So, to answer your question, make sure you have at least 2 strong BACKUPS before you update.

    Hello

    ·        This occurs only when you click on internet explore or with all applications?

    ·        Remember to make changes to the system?

    ·        What version of internet explore is installed on the system?

I suggest you follow the methods mentioned below.

    Method 1:

I suggest you unregister and re-register the Windows Installer on the system.

    a. sign in to your computer as an administrator.

    b. Click Start and then click Run.

    (c) in the Open box, type cmd and then click OK.

    d. at the command prompt, type msiexec.exe / unregister and then press ENTER.

    e. type msiexec/regserver, and then press ENTER.

Now, check if the problem is resolved.

    Method 2:

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following link.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756

I suggest you repair Windows Installer

    a. Click Start, go to run, type "Regedit" and press ENTER.

    b. in the registry editor, navigate to the following registry folder:

'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSIServer' by clicking on the sign MORE (+) sign.

    c. highlight the "MSIServer" folder in the left pane and double-click "ImagePath" on the item in the right pane.

    d. its value should be 'C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe V' (without the quotes). If this is not the case, change the above value.

Note: There is a space between msiexec.exe and c I assume that Windows is installed on drive C.

    e. restart your computer.

    Thanks and regards.

  • Preparation for installation at each connection, but what?

Windows XP Pro with SP3, stable for years.

But now since one some time to Setup tries to install 'something' after the connection very. The "preparation for installation" prompt appears, unfortunately, never says what it is trying to install, as I know that it takes 30 sec suspended in this popup, appearing 3 - 4 times in a row each whenever I have connection. And no 'usual remedy' has contributed to this day:

    (1) check for product Red
    (2) regedit, search for the names of products already installed.
    (3) analysis of the registry: all deleted using WiseRegistryCheck and CCleaners as well.
    (4) windows install cleanup tool v3.00.00.0000: I don't see all of the unknown elements...
    (5) manual cleaning of all TEMP directories and all these.
    (6) the manual analysis of services for unknown names
    (7) viruas scan and adware

Could someone help me identify the culprit?
Under settings, I still find a plethora of log files in the directory temp, like this:

    ... etc.

However, this seems to be a check once a week for updates for several products supplied with my Dell. So I'm still confused why this is happening now and how to turn it off.

    Thomas, CA

    Thomas,
Looks like you did a lot to try to find the culprit.  One thing that I do not see you mention performs a clean boot.  If you haven't tried that I implement that and then restart and see if Setup returns to the top.

Follow the steps in this article to resolve problems with a clean boot.

Advanced problem resolution by clean restart.

Let me know if this helps.  Also have you looked in the Application section in the event viewer and saw all errors related to this?
