Office Jet 8600 Premium: printing from iPhone to non - Airprint Office Jet

I'm trying to set up a simple network. I have a router Linksys, Windows 7 computer, HP Office Jet 8600 Premium and a few iPhones.  I want to be able to print from the computer and print wireless from iPhones.

My first thought was to connect the computer and the printer to the router using Ethernet cables and turn off the radio of the printer.  If I do this, when I connect my iPhone to the network router wireless, will they see the printer and be able to print?

Or do I need to connect the printer to the wireless router?  If I do this, the computer will still be able to print through the router?

Thank you.

Hello

You can connect the printer to your router with an ethernet cable or wireless.

As long as the printer and iPhones are connected to the same router, you can print to the printer using AirPrint.

Kind regards

I use this printer for several years with no problems. I've already printed for numere and iphone / ipad. Yesterday my laptop ordinary started to give me problems and I have to reboot constantly. Today, my printer started giving problems. It works with the iphone feel but my laptop does not work. I followed doctor scan and it says that it cannot solve the problem. I unplugged the router, then printer, left off the coast for 60 seconds and then re-connected - first router, then printers. Always the same results. I see the file in my queue of the printer, but it does not communicate. I noticed that the blue wireless to the left of the home screen display is not on. The results of the test wireless network prints a page that says no problems found. The ip address is 192.169.1.2; However the address on the actual printer had a different extension. I need to use this printer for work documents.

He says that the printer cannot be contacted over the network. Also says the device is off. However, if I print from iphone, it works.

    Can someone help me?

Think about scoring the post that solved the problem as 'Accept as Solution' while others having problems may find that worked for you.

And Yes, the wireless light should be on, except if you have an Ethernet cable connecting the printer to the router in which case the without wire would be disabled, but the printer would operate on the network and have a wired IP address.

  • Printing from iPhone

When I first set up my HP 5510 he printed PC and iPhone. Now I find that I can't print from iPhone (4 s). Tried emailing photo to the printer, but it was rejected as spam. Any suggestions? I would use the print function of the iPhone more than on PC. Regular e-mail doesn't print or the other.

    Thank you.

    Hello Mimi_64,

As for printing on the iPhone's on-board printing function, there are a few steps, you could try to see if they are able to solve your problem.

1 clear print jobs from the print queue on your device iOS by tapping twice on the home button. The Print Center should appear at the bottom of the screen. Select Print Center and clear print jobs by sliding your finger across each task and select "delete" until no more jobs are listed.

    2. after clearing the print queue of the printer, you have to completely turn off your iPhone by pressing and now the power button on the top right of the camera until see you "Swipe to turn off" and slide on the screen to completely turn off the iPhone. Do not feed the iPhone on yet.

    3. If the printer is still lit, disconnect the power cord from the printer, leave it unplugged for 30 seconds, then reconnect the power cord to the printer. Once connected to the printer should automatically turn on.

    4. once the printer is back on, you can return - turn on the iPhone and try to send a picture or an email for printing test and see if this solves the problem.

As for sending emails to print from your iPhone, please make sure that:

    (a) there is a single address in the ' to: ' field (printers email address)

    (b) remove any signature you defined to attach at the bottom of each email (for example, "sent from my iPhone")

Now, you can try to send an email from your iPhone and see if it will print correctly and not responded with enamel "rejected as SPAM.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to reply to this message and I'll try to help you further.

  • My HP Officejet Pro 8600 cannot print from my MacBook Air

    Hello

My HP Officejet Pro 8600 cannot print from my MacBook Air. It keeps on showing "the printer is not connected", but the display on the printer connected. I often reset the printer "EVERY TIME" I want to use. I also tried to turn off my laptop and printer several times before printing. If I'm lucky, it will work maybe for one or two prints. If no luck then I have to reset everything again. Sometimes I reset the printer, the printer is not displayed on my selection.

    Hello boojoo1tw,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are unable to print most of the time with your Officejet 8600. How is the printer connected? USB or wireless? What is your operating system on your Mac computer? Click here to find out.

If your wireless printer, then I recommend the award of an 'IP address' by following this HP document on printer does not maintain the wireless connection.

Please post your results, I'll be looking forward to hear from you.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium: Printer leaves black lines during copy and scan from ADF

I know this question has been asked several times, but whenever I try to copy or scan from the automatic document feeder, it leaves black lines on the copy (with the document on the works of glass like a charm).  I've read through the forums and have tried the advice to unplug the machine and so on, but none of these suggestions work.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey @Huskers1,

Welcome to the HP's Support Forum!

I see that you have some problems with a line when copying from the document on your Officejet 8600 Premium feeder e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Get a little water and a lint cloth.
    2. Open the left upper part of the printer, where the document since the charger goes into the printer. It should open up as you opened a book.
    3. With your damp cloth wipe the rubber stamp, the rollers in the cover and the casters on the bottom of this section.
    4. Again open the left side of the printer, as you opened a book.
    5. With your damp cloth, wipe the rollers, you will find inside this section.
    6. Close the upper sections of the printer and open the flat section.
    7. With your damp cloth wipe the rollers and the white bar you see on top of the printer
    8. Clean the glass on the left side of the printer.

Once all the pieces you cleaned dry, please let me know the results. If you remove the line, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

I try to print from Tray 1 cover. How to make adjustments so that it can print or is there a store bypass on this printer that I can't find.

The sales representative told me when I bought this product I was able to print stock coverage.

You shouldn't have any problems with the documents in your list. You did to be sure you choose the correct paper type before printing? The product can capture not paper if the type in the tray and paper format does not match the size settings and type in the print driver. Heres how to check the paper type is defined:

    1. Return to the document that you were trying to print when the problem occurred.

  • HP officejet pro 8600 - cannot print from my macbook pro

We just bought a new HP officejet pro 8600 but for some reason, we cannot get my macbook pro to print on it. My mac says it is connected to it. It is listed in the printer only and all the settings look fine, but when I send a document to the printer, it will not be printed. He did print the first day we had (a week ago) but it stopped and we cannot figure out what to do. My daughter's PC will be printed, as well as the pc of my husband. It is the first time that I had problems printing to a hp from my mac. Any thoughts?

I had my Officejet Pro 8600 about six months.  Recently, I had the same problem.  It continues to print from my Windows computers but not the Mac.   Labour goes into the impression that it is place on a wedge.  I tried many fixes, including the removal of the printer and reinstall.  Usually removing and reinstalling it will fix for a while, but now, even that does not work.  In my view, that the permanent solution is to buy another printer.

I need help to know how to enable printing from my iPhone.

AirPrint is based on Hello (multicast), which should be supported by your router.

Some routers does not support such an and some may need to change the settings of the multicast router work.

Please let me know your router brand and model to understant better capabilities.

So, you can try the HP ePrint app and check if that can allow the addition of the printer by its IP address.

Click on the plus sign while choosing a printer and type its IP address, which can be found by clicking Setup > network > network display the summary on the front of the printer:

  • Printing from Iphone/Ipad

HP 7510 All in One Printer Prints fine for three computers on the network.  It also works well for Iphone/Ipad printing via ePrint.

However, it does not systematically print remote HP on the Iphone/Ipad.  When it will not be printed, always shows the printer, he says that it is offline.  ePrint works very well, but there are certain things that he does not print and the HP Remote is therefore necessary.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer from net work.  I also gave a fixed IP address to the printer.

Any suggestions how I can get thr printer to print consistently since my phone/Ipad?

Have you tried to print using AirPrint is integrated in Apple devices?  You should be able to print without using special applications.  Any application that supports printing should allow you to select any compatible printer AirPrint on your network and it print without having to install special software or applications.
