Office Jet pro 8610: Office Jet pro 8610 for windows server 2008 R2

I got the new Office Jet pro 8610 prither but does not have the driver for "Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise" 64-Bit.

What to do now. Can you please provide?

Thanks in advance.

Hello

The same driver as expected for any operating system like Windows 7 or 8 must be used, however, the installation should be launched via the command line and not as a standard installation.

Follow these steps to install the software of the printer on a server:

  • Office locks upwards and not Windows Server 2008 R2 remote let me reconnect

I was having problems connecting to a remote system with RDP.  The server is operational for several years and is one of the 4 servers identical servers located on the same site.  Recently, one of the other servers crashed I was remoting in a long time so I had to start using this RDP server in.  Once our on-site personnel COMPUTER redirected to this NAT. port forwarding by server, I was able to connect remotely to make some changes, including the addition of a role as a remote access server VPN using the Routing and remote access Server Setup Wizard and removing the component of protection against threats Symantec Endpoint Protection network so that I can use and configure the Windows Firewall.

While working through the Routing and remote access Server Setup Wizard, my locked up and disconnected RDP session.  I was able to reconnect once on-site staff completed the wizard and restart the computer, but once I reconnected it, after a minute or 2 I was even once disconnected and could reconnect not until the server has been restarted.  I presume that add the VPN role affected my RDP access and decided to remove the VPN server role.

Now, I can't RDP on the server unless it is freshly reset, and even then it only allows me to stay connected for a few minutes before the connection is lost and I can't reconnect again until the server is restarted.  A vicious circle; power of connection after restart, only to have the connection dropped and requires a restart to reconnect again.

This server also hosts a database that client systems are able to access for a short period of time after before restarting their connection drops.

I quadruple checked the inbound Windows Firewall rules, uninstalled application anti-virus completely, same goes for as much as duty get their request for removal to ensure each piece of it has been removed, and I always have the same question.

The whole issue started when I tried to add the VPN role.  I can't uninstall and then reinstall the anti-virus repeatedly has not helped either, but as it is right now, I have a server who, shortly after the restart, is unable to communicate. not with the internet, not on the local network, not remotely.   On-site staff are trying their best to follow my troubleshooting over the phone, but he arrived at a point where I will have to find out what's wrong and provide an easy solution to remote, or make a trip to halfway around the world to try to figure it out myself (which would be EXTREMELY difficult/close to impossible right now).

    Quesitons:

    (1) why would I be able to connect to remote after the reboot and disconnected then shortly after? (Service/application causing the problem didn't start until shortly after a restart?)

    (2) why is it not only kill remote access, but access LAN and internet on the server?

    (3) what else can be verified to help diagnose and fix the problem?

I did a lot of research on the web but haven't found identical to mine problems.  Is this a new problem or a bug?  I saw information about uninstalling a patch and a seen a fix for the problems of the RDP, but who wouldn't even help LAN and access on the internet server.  This server ran local client local RDP, access to the database access and could have access to the internet for the years leading up to the recent changes and issues.

Edit: The pro I'm remote on the server is a system Win 7 Pro, and the database of customers are also Win 7 Pro.

Correction of the problem.  Turns everything by making the configuration for VPN, incorrect information has been entered in the network link, causing the network to the bomb once VPN service started.

There are several LAN ports on the server, and one of them was selected incorrectly and configured with the incorrect gateway IP address during configuration of the VPN server.  Once the misconfigured for the LAN port TCP/IP parameters have been removed, all was good again.

  • Can I downgrade my Satellite Pro P200 for Windows XP?

    Hello

I bought my Satellite Pro P200 (PSPB7E) a week ago and I love it. I have an unused XP license, so I would like to downgrade.

Is this problem? I don't see xp for a Chicony webcam drivers or the HD-DVD player.
I'd really appreciate some feedback. There must be someone out there who has tried to do.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

Of course you can downgrade the satellite Pro P200 for Windows XP.

When installing XP, you need to install the Intel Storage Manager. It is a SATA driver that is needed to activate the HARD disk.

    Regarding the webcam driver.
I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and the Chicony webcam driver is certainly available.

The HD DVD driver is not necessary because the Windows XP must use an own ODD driver.

    See you soon

I want to try to do this with Windows 8 Pro cd on the network because I have 3 pc at home with Windows 8 Pro and I wanted to try out the service deployment with windows 8 when I need to install pc so I prefer to install it on the network not on cd or etc. P.S. for all PCs with windows 8 pro I have buyed them, I have license key and etc.

I don't want the drivers.  I mean the software.  The drivers you get from the page server 2003 and the software from the page I referenced.   Otherwise, you need to contact HP, as they provide that software, not Microsoft.

  • Windows Server 2008 OS is not acceptable for Officejet Pro 8500 has more

I am installing an Officejet Pro 8500 has more on a network that contains just a Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit) computer and a bunch of zero clients.  I read the document "installation of the software of the printer on Windows Server 2003 or 2008" including the updated title hope in my heart.  Unfortunately when I followed the instructions to install from a. MSI file, I get an error message saying "this computer's operating system is not supported", as can be seen in

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/oi3ur31frg8dhi3/HP%20error%20via%20MSI.PNG

I am able to print to this device I have widower of drivers from Microsoft Update, but I want to be able to scan with it.

I solved this problem by installing the complete package on a Vista laptop then set up a network folder on the server for the scanned images.  I then unplugged the laptop from the LAN and now I can scan using the front panel of the printer/scanner and images appear on the shared folder of Server 2008.

  • Install OfficeJet Pro 8610 on Windows Server 2012

    Hello

I'm trying to install the drivers for a Pro OfficeJet 8610 on a system running Windows Server 2012. I installed the drivers from here (after choosing Windows 2012 for the operating system): http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Officejet-Pro-8610-e-All-in-One-Printer-series/53...

First of all, I tried to install using the GUI (Setup.exe) but ran into an error indicating that the operating system was not compatible.

I did some research and discovered that these drivers must be installed by using the command line and the command msiexec.exe. I tried to do it by using the following command-line (with administrator privileges): msiexec.exe /i PATHTOMSI

However, when I do that, it gives me ALWAYS an error of incompatible operating system. Don't know what to do here.

Here is a link to the Post on the HP Forum explaining the need for a command line install: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/installing-Pro-8610-Windows-server-2008rt-X64/m-p/426...

    Thank you.

I ended up soliving this problem myself while tinkering around.

I went through the process of adding a new printer through the devices window and printers.

I said my printer was not listend so opted to manually configure a printer. I have created a new local port and he just called the name of the printer. He then invited for drivers. I chose the disc and then navigated to the folder where I had extracted the printer drivers. Selected this file and the drivers installed.

This example gets the drivers installed in the system. Windows should then automatically recognize/install the printer if it is plugged.

Mind you, I had to do that only for printing on a desktop connection remote. If you need the real HP software installed to print AND scan, this will not work for this.
