  I have a new Office Jet Pro 8100 and I love it!  However, sometimes when print a monthly newsletter or magazine text will become jumbled up garbage.  Text that is embedded in the images is ok, but sometimes not.  That I remember that this only happens with pdf documents.

  If I come back and re - print pages, it comes out ok.  Sometimes, several pages are ok and then the text will be jumbled up.

• HP Office Jet Pro 8500 A: printer refuses to send photos to the computer. He wants to print.

  I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 has.  I use the sd card reader to upload my pictures on the desktop.  As soon as I inserted the card, the printer would automatically open on the screen and ask me if I want to view, analyze everything first, or whatever.  Suddenly, he stopped to do all this.  Now as soon as I insert the card, the printer asks me if I want to view & print, create or reprint.  It will not send the photos on the card to the computer.

  That's happened?  How can I get this back to the way it was?

  I see that you have problems to download the pictures from the SD card to the computer. I would like to help you today.

  I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
  Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
  Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
  This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  If you have another SD card, try it also, just to rule out the SD card.

  Power cycle the router, restart the computer and the printer.

  Try to download the photos again.

  Update the firmware of the printer, if you still have problems. HP Officejet Pro Firmware.

  I would also download and run the printing and scanning doctor. It will diagnose the problem and could solve it automatically. http://www.HP.com/go/tools

  Please try these steps and getting back to me.

  As indicated in the document "If there are still defects on the page after the print head has been cleaned once, go to solution to replace one or two print heads."

  Solution 6: replace one or two print heads

  If you have done all the troubleshooting steps and you are still experiencing a problem, replace the printhead.

  When printing color photo, there is a thin vertical lines about an inch of distance. Ruled out interference from other devices connected to the printer via the USB port.   Thank you for your interest. I have solved the problem. It turns out that the only time where I had vertical lines wes when I was printing color photo of my computer, program Picasa or Microsoft. The disapeard question when I chose the best print quality. It is much more slow but clean! the lines have been in my opinion line breaks in the quick printing mode.   Thanks for your replies; Since I was so impatient, I decided to reinstall the drive in my laptop again. I had a virus at some point and maybe uninstalled something.   About your problem, I suggest you check if you receive the internet signal or uninstall and reinstall your HP printing software again. The reason of why I tell you to do these is because when you try to print wireless, then you know how much you receive signals. For example, if you do not receive the maximum amount of the signal, then the chances are that printing occurs slowly. Sometimes, you can also try to uninstall the printer software and reinstall it again. But before you do that, re - check that your internet connection is to give a signal properly. I prefer lets you choose a password that has a security code, so that you can receive the maximum signal, somewhat, rather than having several people use it. Thus, your internet will go slowly and your impression will slow down.

  Here is a link to the user manual. To get the possibility to enlarge the copies, press this option on the display of the printer, then tap SETTINGS and then select resize, use the right arrow key to scroll through the sizing options on the printer. Changing the settings of copy is covered on page 59 and 60 in the manual. I hope this helps.

  You are not able to print labels or envelopes of the ADF, for copying or scanning only. Also, it is not necessary to remove the regular printer paper to print on these types of media, even if it can make it a little easier. All you have to do is go to word or any other type of program allows you to print and select the appropriate model label or envelope and follow the instructions.

  I have an Office Jet Pro 8600 and need to know if there is a way to fix the screen faded. You don't see the options like print, scan, fax, tools...  It isn't that I know where they are and who's who for the most part.

  In addition, scanning is not clear.  Everything is faded.  However, it still prints and faxes by a fine.  I hope I don't have to buy a new All In One Printer.  I finally got most of the glitches and tricks when I have a problem with it.  Is it possible that there is a light bulb needs to be changed or something?  I appreciate your help & feed back as soon as possible.  I use in an office on a daily basis.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.

  I see that you have some problems with the copy and see the display on your Officejet 8600 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once it is, while the printer is on, remove the power cable at the back of the printer for one minute.

  If after the above, that you can't always see the screen or copy clear, the printer needs to be replaced because it has no replaceable bulbs in the scanner or the display. You can contact the HP Support by clicking here and filling out the form below to see what options are available.

  Well, I got my answer because I could not find a topic 'resolved' in this regard. So I decided to post my findings to help the next interrogator (is that a word = the one interviewing). FYI - I am not a "geek", and while I can find my way around a computer it sometimes takes a while.  Also, I have Windows 7 on this laptop if it makes a difference.

  1. go to control panel and choose:

  2. material and audio, then

  3 devices and printers, then

  4 fax - HP Office Jet Pro 8600 (network) or whatever printer choice applies to your situation, then

  5 HP Printer Wizard, then

  6 scanner activities, then

  7. analyze a document or a picture, then

  8. Save as PDF

  9 scan

  10. save in a folder you choose

  I know this may seem simplistic to most of you, but maybe someone like me is out there, trying to find this out and this could help.

  Thank you for posting your solution you found yourself, on the use of the scanning function on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600. I apologize as we were not fast enough to answer one of your questions on the Forums of HP Support. I've been able to check your user page but could not find your original post on us asking how Scan, did you remove the question? Anyway I'm glad you are now to the top and scanning of your JO 8600.

  For later use, I would like to you to take a look here: how Scan: Windows 7, here we will give all the options and shortcuts on scanning with or without the HP software as well as a few cool features, like the scan from the front panel of your 8600 and adding several pages in a single file.
