How to make the computer to recognize that there are 2 monitors?
I have a new hp pavilion hpe h8-1124 with AMD Radeon HD 6570 GPU. It does not have a VGA port, so I used the adapter supplied in the box HP (DVI / VGA). To get to two monitors, I used a VGA 2 VGA splitter 'Y '. Both monitors turn on and show the desktop, but when I use the Windows screen resolution (7 professionals), to stretch my office, the choice of two screens are not present. Using the button detection detects only a single monitor which is names @. Using 'Identify' places '1' in each monitor. When that I start with a single monitor, "detect" correctly identifies appointed monitors.
How can I get the computer to recognize the fact that there are two different monitors? If I can't do this, I can't do the rest of what I need to stretch the desktop on two monitors.
Hello
Get rid of the VGA splitter. You have noticed it doesn't work for the Office of 'cloning', but do not stretch across two monitors.
What are the other ports on the video card? without doubt, DVI, HDMI, and VGA if this is correct, then one of then one of the monitors must use DVI - D or HDMI if you want to continue to use the VGA for the other monitor.

Lenovo B520 sends audio only, no video on tv
Hello. I want to play what is on my B520 on my TV. However, only audio is sent out but no video and regardless of the Office of the image (screen background image, no programs or something else). I can hear the audio from my computer to the TV. I also see some picture I set as my desktop (behind all the icons) image. But I can't even see my desktop icons and if I play some videos or something my TV plays the audio portion but shows just my image of background with no other than this video being sent. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I have a JVC TV, but it's to show the image of the office if something is sent by B520 so I don't think that the problem is with the TV. Help, please.
It sounds like you have extended your office not cloned it press and hold windows key, then press P to scroll through the options, duplicate or second screen is the option that you are after

After the backup hard drive cloning ARD launch
OS: 10.11.6 (issue which happened on 10.11.5; update today to see if this helped)
Recently, I reformatted my hard drive to correct some wacky partitioning I played with and cloned my rear disc of a direct clone of CCC. Also, I recreated my restoration, installation of Boot Camp and installed Windows partition.
Then, I went to launch the Office remotely and received the following error:
As a logical person, I uninstalled the application by following the steps here, reinstalled and restarted... to get the same error.
At this point, I have Google would be a bit and found mention of a permissions issue which was that other people having the same problem. I checked my diary and here, I got the same errors:
The strict solution seems to be to delete this folder and recreate it. First of all, I did this by connecting to the recovery partition and deleting the folder 'C' via the Terminal I didn't so not disable controls system integrity. This resulting no change on a restart, even after do it again, uninstalling Remote Desktop, and then reinstall.
Then I disabled the system integrity (csrutil disable) in recovery and started to remove it when it is started. I ran across the same as hoops above because it does not work all the time.
I even went away so crazy just now as to delete the folder of higher level instead of just the subfolder 'C '. That no longer works. I changed the permissions on the folder to 777. No change. Changed the owner to my user account because he invites him for an administrator account. No change.
I went to the ARD support page and tried to present a real ticket, but it turns out that the ARD is not in the list of software that you can file a ticket on.
I'm out of ideas. No luck, can anyone provide some guidance?
Hi, I have exactly the same problem the first time, I don't have the link with a CCC clone, but this morning (after a clean install because of this problem), I cloned my boot on a new SSD drive and this issue comes up with the clone. I reboot the original disc and ARD works on original, CCC is causing the problem, I made several clones with previous systems without problems, so it's probably a mixture of Capitan/CCC/ARD pure problem.
I left a message of support to the CCC with a reference to your thread.
hope for solution too... for the first time in my life of Apple that a problem needs a new facility...

H8 - 1440t: cloning Windows to new SSD
Hi, yesterday I bought a new SSD and installed in my office because I wanted to replace my old HDD. I cloned my main drive (HARD drive) that contains my operating system in the new SSD successfully. Everything works fine, but I've seen a watermark on my wallpaper near the clock (on the side of the lower right of the desktop) with the following message:
"Windows 8.1 Build 9600 Pro with Media Center.
I searched on google and I found that build 9600 a do something with Windows activation, but I do not know why because I already unplugged the HARD drive and I'm not using it in any other computer. Then I went into control panel of-> system and I noticed that in the part that says that the Activation Windows message "Windows is not activated" and on the right side, there is a link that says "activate Windows". I have not to click the link again because I first want some suggestions to solve this problem. Can someone help me with this?
Here is my pc:
Product name: h8 - 1440t
OS: 8.1 Pro with Media Center 64-bit Windows
Microprocessor: Intel (r) Core i7 - 3930 K CPU @ 3.20 GHz

Hello
Open (admin) command prompt it and enter: slmgr.vbs - rearm
Note the space between the s and the.
If you encounter a command not found then try to use the method of the location of this directory at the command prompt (admin).
Type cd- and press enter
Type cd windows\system32 and press enterYou should now see the following--> C:\windows\system32 >
Now, enter: slmgr.vbs - rearm
BTW - Your cloning software has a problem because Windows 8.1 should operate automatically.

Hello
I had to replace my hard drive on a Pavilion DM4T and I had a back-up, so everything is back up and running except when I bought the laptop I bought it with MS office 2010 preinstalled. So I was wondering if there is a way to re-intall it? I don't think I have the key longer.
Thank you
Hello!
Office 2010 came as a package with Word, Excel, Power point and a single note. It was the edition of Home/office and I think it cost me about $100.00 extra.
> I understand. You could be the OEM version of Office 2010 (with product map).
I bought lap top by Costco and I'm assuming that MS Office has been charged by the elves of the little river in a foreign country.
> I love your sense of humor
I tried to clone the hard disk using acronis, but no luck, I was not worried about this, because I had a recent backup. So I just used the HP utility to resume the old hard drive to the original (the old HDD broke on drive D) and then I cloned it to the new HARD drive and installed the new HARD drive. HéLas I forgot to get the key in the Office before I sent the drive in his early life.
I'm sure I'll end up buying the new office in 2013 because of my screw upwards, but I thought it was worth a try )
> Unfortunately, as there is no key, there is no license for the version of Office that you have had.
Your options are:
-> Desktop alternative free use as LibreOffice or OpenOffice (I personally don't envy them a lot)
-> Viewers [office free use Microsoft provides these apps for free: they allow users to only view and print Office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) without having to edit]
-> Microsoft also offers free Office on the web - ex Office Web apps, Office Online now
http://Office.Microsoft.com/en-us/online/Basically, the difference is-> (1) is a perpetual license (one time payment). It's just the current version of Office - e.g. Office 2013. Once the payment is a little more expensive.
Second, one (2) is a little less expensive payment but subscription. Generally to predict more than 1 computer, but could be on one machine only, as well. You get the versions of Office Online + Offline option to install it. In addition, subscribed and you will always get the latest Office updates and version as long as you subscribe. For example, you will receive the next version of Office when it is published. You can get Office 2013 by http://www.shopping.hp.com/en_US/home-office/-/products/Accessories/Software?SearchParameter=%26%40QueryTerm%3D *%26brand_facet_acc_dte2%3DMicrosoft%26ContextCategoryUUID%3DGO0QwSh_8C0AAAE015A_ez3g%26%40Sort.TieredPricing%3D0&PageSize=15&SortingAttribute=TieredPricing-asc or Microsoft Store (also Office 365)-> http://office.microsoft.com

Cloned new HDD for Pavilion 1210.uk does not start
I am new to the forum so Hi everyone.
I just installed a new HDD (SATA) to my office. BIOS identiified unit correctly and I cloned using HDClone software. He succeeded with 0 read and write errors. All files are accessed through drive letter access. So far so good, I thought. I then tried to boot from the disc again by changing the BIOS boot order. Hoewver, when the trunk begins with the new PC HARD drive crashes with a white/black screen with the cursor blinking in the upper left corner. It is the logo of Microsoft and o/s linen starts (XP).
Some additional information:
* Old HARD drive still boots without problem with or without the new drive.
* I changed the transfer rate of 3.0 GB to 1.5 GB being the SATA 2 drive. That made no difference, then changed back.
I don't know what is wrong, someone has also experienced this or knows what is the problem?
Thanks for reading.
The cloned system was not built with PATA and SATA drivers. This could be the problem. You still get the blinking cursor? You can send an email to technical support HDClone and ask of PATA, SATA problem of cloning.

Special file in Open Office and judged by default.
I am writing my thesis and have inadvertently cloned several copies, I need to get rid of! But this isn't my main concern, here and now.
Having searched every inch of space on my cell phone (or so it seemed to me!) all that could be found were copies that were 2 days of work obsolete.
A few mins.ago, without really thinking, I clicked on Open Office, and then on a file without name and Heavens to Betsy! There was the updated version of my work filed under default.
I do not understand, that is how he got there, what it means and how can I prevent it from happening again? By the 3way, I had stored on an ankle but that also didn't have the old version of the file.
Any advice welcome!
Cheers, WG.

Dumping Vista to XP in Pavilion s3600v (office slim) - how to install
Technical support HP told me after 2.5 hours there is an incompatibility between my PRTR laser (HP 1300 & 1150) and the printer drivers for Vista. Since I also spent the $170 for the extended support tech kit, I was annoyed. Looks like the only way I can save what I want to do is dump Vista and install XP on the new Pavilion s3600v.
Need: install a printer parallel port card in the Office to continue to use of old old office program accounting requiring ms - dos to print; Therefore, parallel printer and XP need (or more) operating system. Use Acronis software for cloning vista. Determine how
1. remove Vista;
2 find out if the hardware will work with XP and where to get xp software drivers necessary;
3. the Protocol or the order of the xp on the office installation process.
4 xp would describe the warranty by HP of the Office.
5 advice re re-installation of vista if you wish at a later date.
It sounds like more work that I want to take, but I think I can do it. Key question is if all the components of the s3600v will work ok with XP and drivers available... and if the guarantee is irreversibly affected?
I am a user with intermediate knowledge/experience - although I've used computers since Apple built them! But that the experience of old time isn't going to help a lot with this Vista OS. Thanks for the help!

Memory and mSATA question x 230 - oh and a cloning issue too
I just ordered a couple of x 230 units and kept the default 4 GB of RAM I was planning on upgrading to a SATA drive and 8 or 16 GB of RAM and 320 GB HD.
Now, of course, I became intrigued with a drive as a boot device mSATA and keeping the 320 in place for data.
What should I switch to the player mSATA? Windows? Windows and programs? Windows and frequently used programs?
Frankly, it will be a machine MS Office Suite primarily with just a touch of Photoshop.
Taken memory bloat in the future into account, I suppose a 128 GB mSATA would be quite sufficient - correct?
I had a case of killer on 16 GB memory modules, but only one set was available. I intend to use the spare 4 GB from one machine to another, giving me a machine with 8GB and 1 vote against and 16. There will be no discernible difference using normal office software?
I intend to create my setup on one of the 320 GB hard drives and cloning this image for the two discs mSATA. I would then activate the software on each machine. Who will I would just save the HD in the future and have a picture I can restore to one of the machines if one of the disks fail. Who is?
Hello
I did a clean to my mSATA SSD installation (removed the disk before that HARD; disk drive USB drive to load the recovery of factory media). No problem, noted in this; the mSATA SSD will appear just like any other disk drive in the BIOS.
Kind regards

The first clone worked like a charm - this one I had trouble getting the reader to clone, and then after a while I started to have the pop box. I called support – they agree it is a geniune version and do not understand what the problem is. Help - I can no longer update Windows and now I'm having a problem with my iPhone, sync with iTunes on this machine. Help me, please.
The common cause for these mismatches is a defective Intel Rapid Storage Tech driver

How to have different color profiles on screens cloned with color management
Hello
I have calibrated two monitors (in fact, one is a standard monitor and the other is a projector that is connected to my computer) using the third-party program. I'm so done with ICC profiles two different, one for my monitor and the other for my image to the projector.
These two are connected to a card double head (Quadro 4000).
I am able to use my two different color ICC profiles with an extented of office using the color management settings in Win7 without problem. I can't disable them without problem also.
But I can't do it with a clone view (dual display). Even if I am able to select two different profiles for each of them in windows color management settings. Alone can apply for each of them. In fact, when I'm in an office clone, even when I tried to deactivate the profile of each color, nothing changed. Color management doesn't seem to update more as soon as I'm in a clone desktop mode.
Anyone know if there is a way to apply TWO different colors on monitors CLONED profiles? In my case, I can not use extended desktop and I really need to apply the calibration profile two different.
Thank you very much!
Edith

Restore the Office Public folder
I have a problem in a laboratory on the Dell Optiplex 745 computers. In this workshop, there are 29 computers initially running Vista SP2. I cloned all 29 computers to Windows 7 Professional SP1. After I cloned these computers, I found 15 of them, the Public Desktop folder is missing. All other public folders (Documents, music, photos, etc.) are visible. What happens to all the accounts of profiles (Admin, teacher, student). It doesn't matter who is connected to one of the 15 computers. This isn't a unique profile corruption problem.
I have show hidden files, folders, disks and I have disabled the 3... hide boxes. It is not restore the Office Public folder.
I tried the file REG RESTORE. Nothing.
I've tried searching Office Public folder. Nothing.
I restarted the computer.
I play ALL of these tests under an administrator account. Since the student on these 15 computers files, I can not re - clone these computers or can I do a repair on these computers. I don't want to take the risk of data loss. There must be way to restore the Office Public folder WITHOUT cloning or the repair of these computers.
I tried to log on as LOCAL ADMINISTRATOR to resolve the problem to one of these computers. Also, I tried the administrator account to correct the problem. Two of these accounts does not solve the problem
I need to restore the original DEFAULT Office Public folder in C:\USERS\PUBLIC. Create a new folder and call it Office Public do not solve the problem. How do I know this, I tried to put a file in this new folder of the Public Office and did not appear on my desktop. That's how I know that simply create a single file does not work.

Hi all
When we license MS Office 2013 the license don't stay once the new virtual machine has been deployed.
How do we get this works someone know?
Thank you
James.
Do you use the floating linked clones or dedicated workstations?
You must use a KMS server with office on linked clone desktops floating. If you use dedicated clones, you can simply activate office manually after the fact, but I would still use a KMS server.
The reason for which activation disappears is due as a result of the activation ID changes after the cloning process, where only the KMS makes life easier.
