Office of recovery error file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Darryl%20Holmes/Application%20Data/Microsoft/Internet%20Explorer/Desktop.htt

I had this problem in the distant past, however, this time, my office is corrupted and when I want to restore my active dektop... I then get a Java script error that like me if I want to continue to run with this file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Darryl%20Holmes/Application%20Data/Microsoft/Internet%20Explorer/Desktop.htt error if I hit Yes nothing happens... If I hit no nothing happens...

I even used system restore and it returned to normal for a short period... the other answer I get is 1/5 of my page will show my information Office and 4/5 will be lit in blue... when it initially happened a few weeks ago it would allow me to throw the background to cover 4/5 of the page... as of late it will not...

related or possibly not when I open the "word", I get a 'hidden Module error', when click to continue its operation, however, I found that when creating a motion, the letter or the memory-it often corrupted borders and exposes the not requested and non repairable ball fonts on this computer as well...

Is there someone who could please take the time to shed some light on this for me... I try my very first civil trial OCTOBER 3 this year and am really having some problems with this computer... the only computer I have at home with OFFICE PROGRAMS, I need...

I consider it a serious solid and certainly a person towards a real favor.

Thank you

A.R. Holmes

  • Recovery error file path

I was getting a windows hard disk failure message. I took an external hard drive and selected the option "move to" for a large file folder. (In my ignorance), I thought I'd be able to simply recover this folder, after that I got the replaced disk. I get the message below.

    Location is not available

Things C:\Users\owner\Documents\Dan refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network, etc...

I guess that's because the path must be on the old HDD. I have the old drive and I think he can still work as he was still working when removed. The files I lost are very important to me. Is it possible to get these files? Also what would I have done to avoid this problem? Thanks in advance for any guidance or help.

Thank you to all the 32 people who took the time to examine this issue. I was able to get a response from a friend. I moved a "shortcut" on the external drive. Of course, this is not viable. However, the same friend was able to feed and access the old HDD and get the files I needed. Thanks again you review.

  • Error: files currently use Outlook Express or another application.

Original title: compact problem Outlook Express

Recently, I get a consistent message that Outlook Express wants to compact my files. I click OK and it starts the process, then he gets in the "sent" folder and stops with the message "the folderis in use by Outlook Express or by another application" with a box of OK or cancel. Anyway the compaction closes and then some time later, the compact message comes back. Problem seems to have started when I enabled the indexation. I unchecked Outlook Express in the Index box option but still get the message. What I have to delete the "sent" folder and let recreate it or is there another problem miss me?

As long as you have moved all your messages in the folders that you want to replace, go ahead and remove the dbx files to the files that you moved the messages of. At least, now, you will have a clean and functional items.

Now, what is the size of the new folder with sent items? It can be a single message, or the full file.

    Hello ErikAtkinson,

You can try saving the PDF file on your desktop before trying to open it.
See if that helps with corruption problems.

If this isn't the case, then I suggest that you post in the forums Adobe for Adobe Reader. I have included a link below:

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forums.

I see you've found an error "file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action" when you click office and recent places.

    1. Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
    2. What is the full error message?

I suggest you to report to us the screenshot of the Advanced window so that we can understand what exactly the situation.

The average while you can try the following steps and check if the error reappears.

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

Start the computer in safe mode and check the number.

Some options, including the mode safe mode, start Windows in a limited State, where only the essential is started. If a problem doesn't reappear when you start in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic device drivers and services as a possible cause.

Follow this link provided below to start your computer in safe mode.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    Step 2:

Put the computer to boot and check if the problem persists.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 3 of the KB article provided above.

Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.

The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

Important: During the scan of the hard drive if bad sectors are found, the scanner tries to repair this sector, all available on which data may be lost.

    It will be useful.

Back with the details so that we can help you further. We also indicate the result of the suggested steps.

  • There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and cannot be repaired.

    Greetings,

I searched the forums, and this mistake has been examined in the context of how to treat a damaged PDF file.

My question is a little different. The company that I am working has a tool to create what we call "knowledge base articles", i.e. product XML authoring with us help topics. They used this tool from 2008. Files can be attached to a topic. The XML files and attached PDF files is stored in a SQL database. Using the TOC Panel or the search function, relevant topics are retrieved.

When there is an attached PDF, users can view the PDF in the browser or download the file and open it locally.

The knowledge base has been moved from an environment of database SQL 2005 in Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6 for an environment database of SQL 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2008 R2, IIS 7.

Now that we have the following problem: in some subjects the downloaded PDF can't be opened and one error

"There is an error opening this document. The file is damaged and cannot be repaired. "is displayed. The curious is that some PDF files published this error, while others open without a problem. Source file all PDF files open without a hitch before they are downloaded.

Any advice or pointers would be very appreciated.

    TIA, Donna

    Donna,.

as you have probably read in a lot of discussions on this matter, this error message is usually correct, and the PDF file is damaged. As for how it gets damaged, it's something you need to know by poking around in your system. Here are a few general things that always apply when working with corrupt files:

The first thing I would do is open such a file corrupted in a text editor such as NotePad to see what it actually contains. Any valid PDF file must begin with '% PDF -' followed by a version number. If you don't see that in the first line, then you are not dealing with a PDF file and you know why you do not get the file saved in your knowledge base.

If this string is there, then you know that there a PDF file and the issue is somewhere in this file, and is where it gets much more complex. You will need a good understanding of the PDF specification to parse the file to see what is wrong with him.

If you're lucky, you'll actually have a file of length zero (which means also no PDF header). No valid PDF file cannot be zero bytes long. Your second chance case would you find in fact an HTML error in this file (instead of PDF content), that tells you the reason for the problem (but again, this depends on your system).

  • Adobe Acrobat - 'there was an error opening this document. The file is not found.

    Guys,

I have a virtual layer to Adobe Flash player, with a point of entry to Internet Explorer. Apart from that, we used Thinreg to associate pdf files with a Thinapp copy of the Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 (using the allusers switch). We find that, while trying to open online pdf files, Acrobat Reader load then shows the error "there was an error opening this document. The file is not found. If we save the file and open it works very well.

I am positive that it is a problem of isolation somewhere in the config layer of Acrobat Reader, but have not been able to track it down. It is probably that the Acorbat layer not looking outside of himself for the temporary internet folder that contains the pdf file that IE has cached?

Everyone falls on something similar and has a solution?

    Matt

Try to set the modes of insulation for your temporary folders (%temp%, % internet cache) merged to your package of IE. In addition, in our environment, we put % internet merged cache%/contents.is5. Not sure if it makes a difference.

  • Windows 7 file Recovery Error Code 0 x 80070422

I just got a new 4 TB Seagate external hard drive, and whenever I try to put in place the recovery of files of Windows 7, I chose the drive, let Windows choose what to back, confirm the settings, and then I get this:

I check to make sure that all the following services are running because I read on the web that they all need to run:
    [quote]

-"Remote Procedure Call" (RPCSS) must be activated, automatic

-"System event COM +" (EventSystem) must be enabled, manual.

'Microsoft Software Shadow Copy provider' (SWPRV) must be enabled, manual.

Windows XP Installer doesn't work is not for the automatic updates or MS Office 2010. Error says Safe Mode, but my machine is not in Mode without failure.

When I try to run MS Office 2010, it starts a dialog box "preparing to install...." "even if I had used it for a few years. In the end, it fails and tells me whether I'm in Mode safe or I need to reinstall Windows Installer, I have done several times.

I can automatically download updates and they seem to be installed, but all fail at the end.

Any ideas on how to address this problem? Yes, I know that it is probably recommended to buy a new PC, but I need this machine operate fully for the next months. Then by reloading the operating system does not, either. He told me that my XP disc is the wrong version.
