  There is a document with measures to help address the missing or condition is not the print head.  This document can be found here.

  From your post, I understand that you did some the most of these steps, but run Solution 4: replace the print head.

  If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer/printhead without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

  Did you install Ubuntu?

  If so, you will need to get a drive OEM from a friend and use your key.  Make sure that it is a key OEM and OEM disk during installation.

  It doesn't matter what I do, blinking lights on the printer.  The machine does not print and gives an error every time I try.  I had this problem last week and I cleaned my printer cartridges and the holder and that fixed it, but now the cartridges will move yet for me to check out them.

  It seems that the printer can be stuck somewhere. Here are two guides to help you try to find the problem:

  I checked on our lab and the generic drivers are listed below for window 8 to add to see if this will allow you to print.

  Go to the start screen, the type (menu tiles) in "Devices and printers", select settings, click devices and printers.
  Click on add a printer in the upper part.

  Select "the printer that I want isn't listed."
  Click on 'add a local printer or network printer with manual settings.

  Click Next.
  Select "use an existing port," select "USB" in the menu drop-down.
  Click Next.
  Select "HP" in the column on the left and on the right, select 'Officejet Pro PCL3 class pilot.'

  You can also try the "HP Photosmart PCL3 class driver" or "HP Deskjet PCL3 class pilot."

  Further investigation of this issue today, I learned that probably, printing problems don't were not due to the computer or printer, but a bad pass that the computer is plugged into. I ordered a new switch, and I hope that it will be the end of my troubles. Thank you for the help that is available to you.

  I have a HP Officejet 6500 E710a.   He has worked with every other printer I connected to.  It can scan via the USB on my laptop Lenova connection but will not print documents.  I have Windows (Win 7).  I tried all the options troubleshooting including uninstall of the printer and allowing windows to find and automatically install it but no good.  Then, I made an update of the driver printer full of windows and tried with the latest dirvers HP Officejet 6500 Series E710a, but still not good.  The printer is connected directly to the laptop via the USB port - without hubs etc. What can I do now?

  Mysteriously, HP sent me an update tonight. I installed it.  I also reset my impression of parameters by default (not that she needed). Turned power off and then back on.   I have a problem with a previously working printer Lexmark Wifi and my laptop Lenovo. About 2 weeks ago I noticed that my printer was backing in the print spooler after printing a single page. If I rebooted my laptop spooled printing will automatically display, and I am able to make an impression more (single page) before I have to restart again. I finally got fed up and removed the printer and recharged through the Add Printer Wizard. Now, I can't print at all. The printer is selected by default, not to display any errors when I run the troubleshooting, but test pages do not print. I tried to download the latest drivers from lexmark, deleting and reloading the printer through the wizard several times, reset between the two and nothing. We have a second laptop with windows vista connected to the printer, and it has no problem printing. It has been implemented in this way for several years, without much trouble.

  First run, delete print jobs to eliminate any print job stuck in the queue.

  Unplug the printer.

  Download and run the patch (cleaning printer utility) until it prompts you to restart your computer.

  Restart your computer. Make sure that the printer is deleted. Deleting Manual printer driver

  Download the 32-bit drivers for Vista for Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 64 bit Vista. Install the Vista drivers in Vista compatibility mode, you will get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at the moment (power on).

  So far has never had a problem with my blu - ray player.  The last time I used the player, I watched a dvd movie.  I tried t watch a disc blu - ray today and I kept getting the error message "cannot read disc - unknown.  I tried 5-6 different blu - ray discs.  I made sure that the firmware has been updated and I followed the troubleshooting guide.  Nothing has worked.  It will play DVDs but not blu - ray discs.  Does anyone have a solution?

• OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911a: Can print / copy in colour, but not black

  Last night, tried to make a copy of the Officejet directly black and got a page of black streaks almost completely dark.  Tried to copy the same document in color and got a nice copy.

  Today, I tried scanning a document from hp on my computer software.  Got the same streaks.  Scanned in color and got a good clear scan.

  It may be dirt on the glass which would affect color and black too, right?

  Grayscale printing is fine.

  How can I solve the problem?

  No worries on forget everything shuts off and turns back on.

  I saw the power of the printer and the new solve a lot of problems, but it's the first time I've seen do so solve the problem with black streaks.

  One thing that I would check if it happens again is to make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Copy and scan functions can behave a bit strange if the printer does not have enough power.

  I can't print wireless on my home network.  HPOffice Jet Pro 6978 recognizes and is set up to the wireless network (wireless logo turned blue) and my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.10 Yosemite) is connected to the wireless network, but they are not connected to each other.

  I downloaded, installed, deleted and performed the installation from the website 123.hp.com/setup.

  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! I'll check back on a regular basis today to provide the requested information.

  Thank you for continuing advice.

  I was able to access the configuration of the router device online.

  As one of the submenus to the local network, called "Wireless Interface", I met it.  It sounds like I should disable HomePNA.

  What the output drop-down jack August?  The other option is RJ-11.

  Then what should I do?  Try to connect to my other MacBook?  Or should I unplug and "reboot" first the router?
