OfficeJet 4500 g: installation

I uninstalled the officejet 4500g printer all-in-one.  Now when I try to reinstall... I put in the disk and it does not give me the install command, it says, thank you for the purchase of the printer.  What can I do to reinstall this printer on my new computer with operating system windows 8.1?

Hello

It could be that the installation discs were not designed for Windows 8.1, because the operating system is released after the printer. You can download the latest version of the software that supports Windows 8.1 at the following link:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=MP-109547-2&cc=us&DLC=en&LC=en&OS=4158&product=3919449&sw_lang=

Good luck!

    Hello

The software for your printer is available through Apple Software update, and there is no installer available on HP.com. thjat means that use you a bad driver or a one that is not intended for Yosemite.

Remove incompatible software using Uninstall HP under Applications > Hewlett-Packard, then follow these steos to install the printer on your Mac:

The first step in installation is to click on 'Install', but the only option is "Exit". What Miss me?

    Tim,

I'm not familiar with this error, or use Webroot security software.

It sounds as if something is locked up - or blocked.

The State of the printer is constantly changing: wireless status, entry and work completion, changes in the availability of the Internet (for ePrint), enters the State of ink.  The computer must have the permission and access of / to the printer to provide updates to the software of the printer.

You may need to take a look at your Webroot security settings - and newspapers.

If the system is aware of any issue, the Event Viewer logs may have made note of it.  The trick is to find and understand the data.

Assuming that you don't find anything abnormal, only, you will need to restart all - this time this includes the router because it is one of the places where things tend to lock in new facilities.    If your router provides logging features good, you might be able to track all errors.

  • HP Officejet 4500 installs wireless on the laptop Windows 7 computers 2, but not on the 3rd

Help a friend to a printer with the HP all-in-one Officejet 4500 problem.  Although it has been installed on the laptop of the wife of my friend, he would never print.  When pointing the mouse on the icon of the printer the printer and the devices page, this would indicate that the printer is offline.   It was not the case.

I used the disk supplied with the printer to install wireless on their other two laptops of W7 and installed with a wired connection on their tour of W7.  The printer properly on all PC functions.

I used the uninstall level 4 OJJ5700 washer 8 HP utility to remove any trace of the product of his laptop and then again used the disk to install the printer.   As with the other 2 laptops, I selected a wireless connection, but unlike the other 2 it finally gives me a msg that the printer is not found on the network.  Then it prompts me to temporarily connect the laptop to the printer with the USB cable, saying that once it finishes the installation of the software, that we can then make it wireless.  It never ends install even with the cord.  I went through this process twice, and both times it sitting there on the stage of configuration for an hour more before I killed the task.

The printer is sorta installed on the laptop, because it allows to print with the cable, although the name of the printer has a. TMP extension in the devices & Printers.

All laptops are connected to the same network.

Anyone who has never met this before and come up to the top with a solution?  The laptop seems to work otherwise beautifully, although I suppose it wouldn't hurt to run a full scan of Malwarebytes.  I never really knew the problem, it's viral, but I just ran out of time today before that I could make sure...

    Hi boweasel,

Please confirm the steps for me. At this point, you did all the steps of troubleshooting of the printer, which should solve the problem. At this point the printer works with two other computers, it seems it's something with the operating system on this computer. I suggest contacting the manufacturer of the laptop on a recovery or disturbances to the OS.

Please let me know if you are able to install and impression after working on the operating system.

    Thank you

  • HP Officejet 4500 All - in - One Printer - G510g 8.1 windows installation 64 bit

After running a HP Officejet 4500 All - in - One Printer - G510g two an old notebook Windows XP and 64-bit computer laptop, an ASUS Windows 8, subsequently updated article 8.1; I am now trying to install it to run from a laptop Toshiba Satellite NB10T-A Windows 8.1 64 bit, but without success.

The original installation CD does not provide an installation but start up (probably because it is only compatible with Windows XP and 7.

The site www.hp.com offers a download a driver for the printer to Windows 8,162 bit. Sounds to download very well. Unpack the file, said he set up, but in the end, the driver is not available.

There is no option to uninstall, in Control Panel of configuration/Printers/software control panel.

Without that driver, the system Windows 8.1 recognizes the printer and allows the simple printing applications of ffrom. However, it is not possible to use scanning options, which gives the error message that the driver is not available. HP or HP Document Manager Solution Center are installed.

I tried printing HP and doctor Scan. It recognizes the printer on USB link, said that lack of drivers, downloads, unpacks and installs the drivers. But the printer icon in the control panel of configuration/Printers continues to have an alarm icon indicates that the printer is still missing drivers.

I also tried installing HP Printer Wizard. The result is similar.

Please tell us how I can install this equipment scanning options and make sure that the machine is compatible with 8.1 64-bit windows.

    Thank you

    Dear Rainbow 7000.

Thanks for your help. I tried following your instructions - remove all files HP, starting in minimal mode, downloading and installing new. Also tried to disable the antivirus scanner. But in vain. The drivers scanner has not been installed.

The 64-bit Installer driver downloaded, but did not complete installation despite the night running. Looking at the processes running in the Task Manager, the name of the installer is for a 32-bit Installer (see the screen attached capture). Could be the problem?

After trying various alternatives to the procedure, I gave up and downloaded the base driver HP Officejet 4500 m G50g Corporate Edition 14.0 (link http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-110155-1&cc=pt&dlc=pt&lc=pt&os=4158&product=3919449&sw_lang= ). This download is recommended only for the professionals, which I am not - but nothing worked.

This driver installed fine. He recognized the printer and scanner. The printer and the scanner properly. The menu shortcuts also work as previously.

It looks like so there is something wrong with the installer 64 bit full feature software and driver. The solution for the other wil the same problem is to try the base driver - although it is for the professionals.

Thanks for your help, and I hope this will help other users.

    Have a happy new year.

  • OfficeJet 4500 Wireless - MacBook it installs with USB, but can't find it on the network

Help! I just bought a new MacBook (OS 10.6.4) and try to use the HP Officejet 4500 Wireless with it. I bought the printer a month or two ago and it has been implemented on my wireless (a Netgear - WNR2000 router) and works very well with my old iBook G4 and the Windows PC at home. My new MacBook is connected to the fine of the Internet, but when I went to use the printer, it seems to install ok, make settings IP etc. of the printer on the network, but it's not far past. He says that the printer is "unreachable" or some such nonsense and refuses to see it on the network. I tried both with and without the CD installation, and after you have uninstalled the software HP to uninstall and reinstall in the system of preferences--> Print and Fax settings. But he only sees the printer if I connect it with USB, which goes against the reason for which I bought it.

I ran the software update and it has found a new version of the software to download to the printer when connected via USB. But there seems to be no way to convince him to find the printer on our network wireless

    Any ideas?

    -Mary

Wow - I solved the problem. How ridiculous of a solution is that?

I saw a mention on another Board need to have a SSID for the network of less than 6 characters/letters to get the Mac to work with some other printer/router configuration.

So I tried here - since I had a network SSID of 7 letters.

    (1) I went in my screen to config the router and changed my SSID to one that was only four letters. I also took the static IP address for the printer, I had just set up (so for those of you watching at home, ignore my comment on this tactic, it was a herring!) leave the settings as they were before I ate with it.

    (2) I then restarted the router, the computer and the printer.

    (3) I first put in place the new SSID on Mac (change the SSID of the router to the old password only left, so it was just a matter of returning the password on Mac, when it entered into the 'new' network). I checked this by seeing in screen config the router if the Netgear now he showed in his list of connected devices (it wasn't before, and I was suspicious that he was some other weird problem, if the Mac has used the Internet very well). He did it!

    (4) then I used the front panel of the printer to go into Options--> Menu Wireless--> Setup Wizard and configure the printer again on the new name of the network SSID. Then I went to the Options--> Print the report--> Config network. It would therefore be to print a page giving the State of the connection confirming that it was the network.

    (5) then I went back for the Mac and use it again the screen of the router config I confirmed that now the printer was also showing up on top of the screen of connected devices (it wasn't before, now she and Mac have been listed!). Then I opened system--> print and fax preferences and tried to add the printer again. This time he finds immediately on the network (using the so-called Hello?), and since I already had the software update (using the steps suggested above) that she already had the correct printer software to use. Wireless printing fine now... After all this noise.

So, apparently, PrintDoc, you need to add a small little by this spiel you gave me above - to install a printer wireless on a new Mac with a working wireless network (at least one with a Netgear WNR2000 router), the SSID of the network should really be only a couple of long letters (4A worked in this case but not 7). Why, I have no idea. Ridiculous, like I said.

    Thanks anyway.

I hope this discovery helps someone else too!

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z hangs up during installation or has missing file

I have recently upgraded your older desktop for Windows 7-64 bit.   Everything works great except that I can't get my HP Officejet 4500 G510n-z everything-in-one-printer to install.

I loaded the software before when the machine was working under Windows XP.  I recently bought a laptop and used the same CD software to install printer on this unit with no problems.  When I insert the CD and AutoPlay starts the Setup program seems 1) hang up in the step of verification system, or 2) declare that a file is missing (I don't know which) and then stops.  I tried to uninstall the software, tried to uninstall using Uninstall_L3.bat and restart the PC, to no avail.  I don't know what else to try.  Technical support costs, I could probably buy another printer.

I tried to remove completely all the HP software from the office refurbished, but now I can't find the Util / CCC folder.

How can I remove completely any / all traces of the HP from the desktop software?  Still working?

My printer was working fine until I needed to upgrade the operating system to Windows 7-64 bit.
