OfficeJet 4500 G510 scanning issue

Hello

I can print, copy and fax with my printer since the first day I bought it.  I installed the complete suit of software for drivers and other information.  I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times without alteration.  I also tried unplug and restart my PC without any modification.

I have Win7 64 bit OS running on this PC, and it is the only PC connected to the network.

Here is the error:
"The analysis cannot because another program or computer using the networked HP imaging device. Try again later. »

Extended error information is: 8, [(0.18,-2147467259)]

Thanks for any help.

I bought a cable USB from Amazon and it now works perfectly.  Here are my comments on my HP printer: "HP screwed up when they stopped sending the USB in the boxes with them.  Thank you for creating something so wonderful, but ruin then in being too tightly budgeted to send an additional cable in case people have problems like me.  It is not a rare thing, just Google search, and you will see the complaints and questions. »

Thanks for your help on this, you did everything you could to help me and it's much appreciated!  Bravo to you!

There is no error push up, even in the print queue's list as his impression, just not as a document waiting or anything. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, but nothing happened.  I used printing HP and doctor Scan of your site and it print an internal test page, but not one sent from the computer, so he said that this is not a hardware problem, but something is wrong with the software. On other computers, it works fine. Could you help me?

    Hi Lena,.

Please try to use an alternative driver steps and let me know if this helps,

It should then allow any functionality such as printing, scanning and fax.

Open Control Panel, and then select devices and printers.

Right-click on the icon HP Officejet 4500 (be sure not to select the icon of the series Fax 4500), and then select printer properties.

If there is no such icon 4500, that it can be combined under any other icon, right-click on the computer icon and look then to the properties of the printer, if not do a right-click any listed printer and check if the icon of 4500 sub list the properties of the printer option.

Click the Advanced tab, and then click new driver. Follow the dialog box until the sweepers list appears, select HP, and then select the HP Deskjet 6940 printer (it is alphabetic sorted by different printers series)... If there is no such clcik pilot the Windows Update icon and allow it some time to update, and then search the list once again appear.

Follow the steps to complete the wizard and confirm a dialog window, then try to pritning with HP Deskjet 6940 replacement icon.

    You can see any difference?

  • HP OfficeJet 4500 G510-m: set a wireless adapter in the port of my HP OfficeJet 4500 G510-M Ethernet

Hello, a recent update of fiber in my house left me without an Ethernet cable to my HP OfficeJet 4500 G510-M.

Can I connect a wireless adapter to the ethernet port on the printer?  I could use the USB connection, attach it to a computer and share the printer to the network.  I thought to fix a wireless to the printer adapter would give me the most flexibility.

    Thoughts?

    Thank you

    Hello @tarfy58,

Welcome to the forums of HP.

I understand that you are looking for alternative methods to put your Officejet 4500 G510-M on your network.

    I would like to help.

Unfortunately the printers firmware would not know what to do with the wireless adapter.

You would need something like HP 1200w NFC/Wireless Mobile Print accessory.

The only downside is that I saw the Officejet 4500 on the list of supported printers.

Please check the specs of the device, in case I missed it.

Your method the most effective would be to use the USB connection, attach it to a computer,

and share the printer to the network.

  • Can't do wireless printing to my HP Officejet 4500 G510 n - z

Recently changed my router and modem.  Since then, I can't do a print wirelessly from my laptop.  When I check the status of the printer to the laptop (i.e. using the icon "HP Digital Imaging Monitor"), it indicates that the printer is disconnected.

Note that my printer is connected to my desktop computer and do not have an impression of question him.

    Components:

    Laptop - Dell Inspiron 600 M

    Router - Belkin AC1000 DB

    Motorola SB6121 Surfboard - modem

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hi IsuIsu,

When you have changed the router and the modem to the printer will have to be reconnected to the correct network being broadcast by this new router. Even if you use the same name SSID does not mean that it always uses the same IP address. Let me know what you find?

Follow these steps to connect the unit to your WLAN 802.11 wireless network.

    1. Press the Setup button ( ) on the control panel of the product.
  • HP Officejet 4500 G510n Scan via airport utility?

How can I get my HP Officejet 4500 G510n to perform a SCAN using airport utility?

Airport utility is not related to operating an MFP. It there is no scan via airport utility function or any what router airport. That is, the printer must be connected through its network and NO USB connection to the router. What is the Airport base station is the printer is simply a network client. No printer function any is active via the airport.

You must install the drivers HP and the complete software for any OS that you are running on your computer.

It's the HP drivers and software that will allow you to scan over network. Or if NOT, maybe... often scanning on network is problematic.

  • HP officejet 4500 wireless - scan and copy questions

I had to reformat the computer, so I reinstalled the printer. While she goes through the motions of scanning/copying, it does not scan/copy the image on the glass screen, but demonstrates rather empty. Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the aharondavidforums.

I saw your post on your Officejet 4500 scanning black images. You mentioned that the printer is also white image copy. Normally it is a scanner failure.

I would like for you to try the steps in this guide to see if you get positive results:

A "Failure of the Scanner" Message appears on the all-in-one control panel and you can not scan, copy, or fax

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions: click here.

  • HP Officejet 4500 Wireless scanning

I have a HP Officejet 4500 Wireless and use the Mac OS X operating system 10.5.8,. When I scan photo they open in my preview software. How and where can I change the settings so that they open in Adobe Photoshop?

    Hello

Instead of scanning from the software, try scanning through your app (Adobe PS). The preview should then be given to you by the PS.

Setup running on the HP disc will not work.  No error message, stops just until it loads the installation program.

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510-gm: DISTORTED IMPRESSION

I have an Officejet 4500 G510gm.  After an abortive attempt to printing on glossy photo paper and my pages printed on normal paper now out asymmetrical. I went through the process of "Align cartridge" several times without success.  Is this fixable or fact on average a new printer?

You mention a failed attempt of photo printing.  Do you have the photo paper jam?  If so, it is likely that the ink was placed on rollers.  This would cause difficulties in feeding paper. In the paper here troubleshooting steps can help solve asymmetric printing.  Clean the rollers as shown in step four.

  • Printing problems HP Officejet 4500 and warranty issues

    Help!

I have problems with a HP Officejet 4500 that I bought last January.  He stopped working at the end of December, but I had to get out of town for Christmas and have not reported in time.  It is not my main printer, so I didn't start working to try to make it work until today.

It will start printing, but stops after a few lines, the screen indicates that it is out of ink.  Sometimes he says that the black ink is low, sometimes the tri-color, sometimes both.  After I have the OK button it will print another line or two until it stops and says it's out of ink.  What it prints, it's kind of uneven and blotchy.  Sometimes it falls a letter of a Word.

When I run a report it wybody help best cut down the lines.  For example, if the line is different sizes of the 'Aa' letter, it will only print the top of the letter.  He will also skip lines.

I cleaned the cartridges, I aligned the cartridges (that I did when I put these new cartridges), and I'm at the end of my mind!

Can someone help me or am I just bad luck?

    Thank you!

I would like to look at this document here. It will give one the troubleshooting steps to try to resolve the problem you are having with a quality of printer output. Among the measures here are ones you mentioned by train, but there are others in the document which are available and which were not included in the above post. If you reach the end of the document, and the question is still involved, would seek the replacement of the product.

If you are still in warranty, HP can replace the printer without cost to you. I'll link the information to get in touch with them below. The link takes you to a form to fill out. Once you fill it and she is treated, it will give you the printers warranty information, a file number and the phone number to call.

I replaced my 4500 510g with the same exact 510 of 4500 g and now it does not connect with the radio with my other pc. The other has worked well. He says to go into tools and find the report wireless but I don't see it anywhere. Any suggestions

    Hi dewser11,

I don't know how you got your connected previous model but you are right to speak of it. The HP Officejet 4500 (G510g) is not wireless capable, instead a model, you can connect an Ethernet cable from the printer to the router. All devices that communicate with your router could communicate wirelessly to the printer with the printer connected to the router.
