OfficeJet 6500 a and Google CloudPrint

You have my new printer and connected it.  Wireless printing works, as this is the address ePrint.  I can print from my Moto Xoom (Android 3.0) via e-mail, no problem.

I can't do Google connect if.  I get the error "Unable to get information from HP" dreaded.  I have reset my security as suggested here, but not joy.  Given that the HP ePrint application does not work on Android 3.0 (iPrint Photo done but has its limitations), I expect to use the CloudPrint application...  If I can make it work...  Happy to try anything... I even changed the printer email just to see if it can help... But none.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Okay, so I decided to try again and it worked today.  If someone has done something behind the scenes, thank you.  If this isn't the case, it seems that the question "cleared himself" sometimes today.

See you soon!

    (1) is the printer must be in wireless mode for direct connection to Apple products instead of via the router and not through the wired connection?

    (2) it seems that this 6500 a has any ability to woreless when I unplug the ethernet cable, even if the guide and the sites Internet says that she is supposed to have wireless capability.  No Option in the Network Setup menu to enable or disable wireless.

    Hello

Must be connected to the same network, as long as it's the network of sae, an ethernet cable should work.

AirPrint is based on good morning, requiring your router to support the transfer of Multicast packets in order to establish such a link.

There are routers that does not support multicast or can with this support, disabled by default, the router is most likely the cause of forums,

If please specify your router brand and model to better understand any possible cause.

  • OfficeJet 6500 Wireless, and Windows 7

While the basic print driver is built into Windows 7, HP has yet to release the complete software for the all-in-one OfficeJet 6500 Wireless.  Exactly when this installation of the complete set of software will be available for Windows 7?

The full download of features for windows 7 will be available for your product at the end of January 2010.

I went through my list of startup (msconfig) and it turns out that it was the "HP Digital Imaging - hp all in a series" that was the culprit. I disabled it on startup and the problem disappeared.

What should I start up for my printer works fine with all its bells and whistles.

Is it possible to check to see whether this printer is kaput?

  • HP Officejet 6500 E710: How to create desktop icon to launch the Scanner dialog box?

I would like to create a desktop icon to launch the Scanner dialog box. I'm not a fan of the approach to Tile Windows.

Under Windows, 8.1, there was a desktop icon which allow me to connect to my Officejet 6500 unit and allow the scan to computer option. Who disappeared with the upgrade of Windows 10.

I ran the print and Scan doctor and it solved the problems. When I went to test scanning, it arises from the familiar dialog box where I could choose different settings.

It worked perfectly. But after having closed the doctor, I could not find any place to launch the new dialogue box, outside the doctor.

I downloaded and installed the scanning HP and Capture app. It works very well, but I rather not leaving office to launch it, or use it enough to justify the taskbar setting.

Is it possible to create a desktop icon for the application of scanning and Capture

    or

is there a way to create an icon to launch the dialog box scan that print and Scan Doctor uses?

    I prefer this one.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Is there a way to create the shortcut to scan on your desktop. Try the following steps:

    1. open a file Explorer

    2 C: > Program Files (x 86)

    3 program Files (x 86) > HP

    4 HP > HP Officejet 6500

    5 HP Officejet 6500 > Bin

    6 bin > Scanner HP

    7. right click on the analysis of HP and "create shortcut".

You'll get a prompt that "Windows cannot create a shortcut here.  Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead?    Select "Yes".

    Hope that helps!

  • Scanner does not work on HP Officejet 6500 Wireless with MacBook Pro

I have the all-in-one Officejet 6500 wireless and print fine but the scanner does not work even after the implementation of suggestions on the Web site.  I recently installed Mac OS x 10.6.8 but I had the same problem with the previous software.  Scan worked fine until the last few months.  I get the message that "HP Scan Pro quit unexpectedly" or "Sorry, an unknown error has occurred", but no additional information.  I have re-installed the software HP twice but to no avail.  What can I do?

Try the scan using the Image Capture in your Applications folder.  Click your scanner on the left side, click "Show details" on the bottom.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a Plus: black ink cartridge does not print

I have a HP Officejet 6500 a and have an operating system of Windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron 15R.  The printer does not print any black ink. I have genuine HP cartridges and the black cartridge is about 75% full. It was working properly until this morning. I downloaded your troubleshooting and everything seems fine. I ran the program cleaning head several times, but I can't always get black ink on a page. The other colors are fine. After the second head cleaning, I got a very small black image, but head cleaning has resulted in no black ink. I made sure that the wind had been reached on the cartridge and this problem occurs with wireless and hard wired connections. Time before, it happened and when I replaced the cartridge, it worked. After reading some of the messages on the map, it seems not to be the solution. I also hesitate to throw a cartridge that is only 25% used. Can you help me?

  • OfficeJet 6500 E709n: Error Code 4, [(3,14,0)}]

I recently updated my Dell computer, but I'm still using Windows 7.  When I try to scan using my OfficeJet 6500 I get an error message immediately: "problem of access to files and resources on the computer.  Try the following steps.  After each step, try to scan the image: - restart the computer - reinstall the HP Photosmart software supplied with the camera, error code 4, [(3,14,0)}.] »

I followed these steps several times but also reinstalled the whole full functionality of the software and the driver OJ6500vE709_Full_14.    I also installed Photosmart Essential 3.5, although I do not think that he should never before scanning.

I uninstalled all associated HP OfficeJet 6500 products and reinstalled everything.

When I used HP Print and Scan doctor to help out, everything seems to work properly.  I was finally able to scan a document ('test analysis') while the 11 steps of printing HP and doctor Scan.  Hiowever, as soon as I tried to use the HP Solution Center application to scan a document, the same error messages came.

I am confused at this point, given that the doctor of the scanner helped me successfully to a test analysis using the normal HP Solution Center to do the same thing is not.

    Thanks for any help!

I just re-read one of the earlier posts about a similar problem and noted the suggestion of the Expert HP to run CCleaner in the framework to get the software cleaned.  I just (belatedly) followed that advice and voila!  Everything works fine!

Thanks for the earlier solution that helped me solve my problem.

  • Printer Officejet 6500

I have a HP Officejet 6500 wireless and after I replaced a black cartridge yesterday he came and said put paper then and we say an incompatible prinhead.  I have the cleaned than the printhead according to the information, but it looks like it is still not working.  I only use HP products and this printer is about 3 1/2 years.  This is the General lifecycle for this printer.  I am very disappointed and probably will find it cheaper to buy a new.  I searched the site, but I am unable to find the cost of the print head.  Someone at - it ideas

There is a document, it seems that you both have done most of the, that helps them solve a problem of print quality.  The document can be accessed here.

As you both are probably off warranty, based on the information provided, then we have a few options at this point.

    (1) we can try the workaround provided by Bob_Headrick in this thread.

    (2) you can buy a new printhead for the HP parts store using the product number CN643a.  Currently, it sells for about US $ $70.

    (3) you may look into buying a new printer.  Be sure to call the HP Technical Support on the upgrade program where you can buy a reconditioned model printer newest, with guaranteed full factory, at a reduced rate.
