  • OfficeJet 6500 printer E710n-z: Officejet 6500 E710n-z printer is not printing but it says printing doc is printing

Hp Officejet 6500 printer - E710n - z does not print documents from my PC but will copy the documents placed in the tray of the printer. I set it up as a network printer with a wifi modem in another room. I used the Control Panel, click right in the image of the printer and done research failure, checked the driver (this is the last) and the control panel tells me that the document prints, but nothing happens. I am trying to print with margins of 0.5cms word documents. I tried with 0cm margins and some print and others don't which is the reason why I changed the margins to 0.5cms. I get a warning that the print area is greater than the margin and that some of the document will be lost, but that's okay for me because I am a printing table and you want to cut the paper along the lines of the grid.

Looks like it might be a problem with this document, the settings or with Word. Are you able to print from other applications/programs?

  • HP Officejet 6500 a Plus: black ink cartridge does not print

I have a HP Officejet 6500 a and have an operating system of Windows 10 on a Dell Inspiron 15R.  The printer does not print any black ink. I have genuine HP cartridges and the black cartridge is about 75% full. It was working properly until this morning. I downloaded your troubleshooting and everything seems fine. I ran the program cleaning head several times, but I can't always get black ink on a page. The other colors are fine. After the second head cleaning, I got a very small black image, but head cleaning has resulted in no black ink. I made sure that the wind had been reached on the cartridge and this problem occurs with wireless and hard wired connections. Time before, it happened and when I replaced the cartridge, it worked. After reading some of the messages on the map, it seems not to be the solution. I also hesitate to throw a cartridge that is only 25% used. Can you help me?

  • OfficeJet 6500 prints a bright black text and blur gray/mast

Also, I have the OfficeJet 6500 and had the same problem.  Black text was printing with a mixture of colored inks rather than black ink, resulting a gray, fuzzy text.   I finally found a solution.  In each application under Page Setup, there is an option called "Format for".  Mine was created for "any printer".  I changed that to "Officejet 6500 E709n [830E4A]" and now it prints black very well.  I have a Mac running 10.4.11.  I hope this helps.

  • Do my HP OfficeJet 4620 print in black ink only, permanently.

I want my printer to always print in black only, on the quality of the project. I went to devices and printers > Printing Options > advanced and changed printing in grayscale only for "black ink". I also made the same change on the page I want to print and go CTRL + P > properties > advanced and making the same changes.

However, my printer automatically returns to print in color after only a single document i.e. whenever I print a new document, the changes are cancelled and it is up to the color.

It's much too much time to repeatedly change the settings everytime I have print something, I need to print about 70 separate documents every morning! How to make this change permanent?

I use Windows 8 if that helps.

    Thank you!

    Hello MarkC-S,

    Welcome to the HP forums!

I understand that you tried to change the printing parameters for "Black ink" only, but it is up to color ink. As you said, the print settings seem correct and it should stick permanently. How is the printer connected? USB or wireless? I recommend you to uninstall the software.

Please follow this HP document uninstall programs and features.

Then clean your Temp folder on your computer:

    1. On the keyboard, press the Windows key and the 'R' key, and then type %temp%. Press ENTER.
    2. Press 'Ctrl' and 'A '. This will highlight all. Right click on your mouse and select delete

Now, install the full features on the site of HP software here. Choose your operating system that is appropriate; 32-bit or 64-bit. If you need help to install the software, please follow this HP document here. Choose your correct connection type.

Once the installation is complete, please let me know if the 'black ink printing"stick this time!

  • OfficeJet 6500: Print head cleaning Cycle - why not choose a color?

I'm having a problem with a single color (magenta) print does not correctly. I've had problems before with black. Why the prinhead cleaning cycle does not allow the selection of a single color for cleaning? Why should I lose the other colors of ink when there is only one that needs to be cleaned? I know that HP wants to sell ink, but be reasonable! That I had problems that appear only after you HAVE installed a new ink tank. And it has not shown using a cartridge to power after best-use-by-date. My guess is that if the ink cartridges are not stored properly the use-by-date means nothing.

There are a few components of the automatic cleaning cycles.  There are a set of wiper rubber that moved across the printhead to wipe or scrape debris from the print head.  All wiping little ink is spit of each nozzle to lubricate the wiper and help clear the clogged nozzles. The wiper is built on a unique sled with a motor that moves the wipers back and forth.  Allowing single color cleaning would require a much more complicated mechanical system, with four distinct and motors wipers to control.  (The wipers should be dedicated for each color.  She would cause the nozzle clogging if the black ink is allowed to mix with the color and would cause if different colors used the same color mixing wiper.)

Similarly, for your Officejet 6500, there is a pump system for a more energetic cleaning or for initial priming of printhead.  If it was designed for a single use of color, then a more complicated system, with four independent pumps and controls.

A Mater of reliability and economics, it is not practical to have separated in level printers cleaning cycles.

  • OfficeJet 6700: print in black only

I am wanting to print in black only. I removed the color cartridges printer doesn't like that we

So, how can I disable the color cartridges?

    John

    Hi jozz71,

If you are wanting to use the black cartridge for printing, you can follow step 2 in this document to change the print settings to print in black and white:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-OfficeJet-6700-premium-e-all-in-one-printer-series-H711/4322971/document/c04331666

Please be aware that you don't need two ink cartridges to print.  The printer uses little color for printer maintenance.  This interview is described in the document I have attached.

Once the color cartridges is completely exhausted you must replace it in order to print.  After this setting the printer to print in black and white will minimize the used color and make it last longer.

I hope it's useful for you.

  • HP Officejet 6500 E709n: HP Officejet 6500 E709n - ink system failure error message.

I have a printer HP Officejet 6500 E709n.  I get the following error message when I turn on the printer:

'Ink system failure.  "Please turn printer off, then on.

I then do as instructed and turn the printer off, but then the whenever I re - turn on the printer, I get the same error again.  The printer is now fixed to the top and none of the buttons on the printer works except the Power button on / off.

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

    Hi @recooke,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you can not use your HP Officejet 6500 Wireless. You get a printer fault to "turn printer off and then on again" you did without success.

    Please perform a hard reset:

    1. disconnect all cables and cards of memory in the printer.  Unplug the power cord, directly from the back of the printer when the printer is still on.

    2. unplug the other end of the power cord.

    3. If there is a power supply on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.

    4. at the end of 60 seconds, plug it directly into a wall outlet (not a surge protector or battery backup).

    5. connect the power cord to the back of the printer.

    6. the printer should automatically power back upward.  If not, turn it on with the power button.

    7. try to make a photocopy (if your printer is an all-in one) before you connect the cables from the printer.

    8. connect the other cables needed to the printer.

It is recommended that the printer is plugged directly into a wall socket to ensure a uniform level of power.  Sometimes, when plugged into a surge protector or battery backup, the quantity of electricity is not received by the printer.  Power problems can cause printing problems.  It is particularly important to be plugged directly into a wall outlet with wireless connectivity problems, "sleep mode" and other power problems.

    Any change?

If you still see the error, please check your Inbox. I sent you a private message on the Forums.

Response with the result. I hope this helps.

  • 6500, printing problem - black

Like others, I suddenly have a problem with black printing on my 6500 (OfficeJet) 6500 E709a.  I tried all the corrections to be made, and nothing has worked - but here's the new twist - it will print what is levels of gray (less than 100% black) of the computer.  I can take a document, change the font color on portions to any color, MORE a few gray and the colored part and the gray part will print.  But black is a complete no-show.  Try to copy the glass produced also no image when you use BLACK, but a color copy will copy the colors and gray - but once again nothing is true black.  I have had this printer for a few years, but it probably printed total of less than 300 pages.

    HI JBM - PA

I understand that you can not print in black.

I have included a document not to be able to print in black.

Make sure that the vents are properly ventilated and cleaning of the print head. Just in case it is a different document then you have already tried.

I have also provided a document to soak the printhead to try to Ciara_B post. Given that you've tried the printhead of the other device, it is more likely is a hardware problem with the unit.

If these steps do not resolve the problem I recommend you call HP Technical Support to get help to see what other options are available to you.

  • OfficeJet 6500 scan flat black

So I have problems my Officejet 6500 (implemented on a wifi network) to analyze correctly.

It used to work perfectly. However, he has recently stopped sweeping and now only provides a black image (although the overview scans work perfectly).

I use the latest version of Snow Leopard and picture Capture to scan (again, on a Wifi network).

Any ideas that I can do to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

OK, let's test the printer by making a copy of a document to the printer.  OK it works?

If he copys OK, let's reset the printing system (and scanning) on your Mac:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (Ctrl) click the box of the print queue and select Reset Printing System.
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.
