OfficeJet 6600 paper jam won't clear

I have a HP Officejet 6600 e-all-in-one printer and got a paper jam the other day, but even after removing the paper, I keep getting an error message saying remove the rear access panel and remove any paper. The jammed paper is not tear or rip so there is no bit left in the printer. I tried all the options on the support page - including the cleaning of the rollers and a power reset - to do this, nothing helps.

I've only had this printer a few months and I am at my wits end. I have never had a printer with this issue before that wouldn't clear a paper jam error.

I asked my brother-in-law to watch just to make sure that I had covered everything. He concluded that the sensor in the back that detects the paper jams was, well, stuck. He loosened it so she moved freely again and now it works perfectly. It must have happened that I was the original paper jam remove the rear access panel.

Thanks for your help.

  • OfficeJet 6600: Paper jam resulted in ink system failure

Paper jam resulted in the failure of the inkjet system. Error 0 x 61000016 is reported.

I tried troubleshooting basic procedures, but the track of the cartridge seems to be poorly aligned, that is, when I opened the door, only the black cartridge is available. This is definitely not normal.

The above error messages persist after stopping and restarting. Replace cartridges results in the same error.

The jam massive caused many, many problems. I had to fish out bits and bits of paper of all nooks and crannies.

Too boot, when it was all cleared up I had to cold start the printer, remove and reinstall all the cartridges (because the printer is no longer recognized an any of them) and go through a three step routine cleaning print head.

    Very messy.

But the good news is that everything is all right work

My next gripe is about the ongong with cartridges properly filled with Staples, Costco, and al that so-called re - define the chip in the cartridges.

    That never works.

The result is that the printer does not recognize an original HP cartridge when it is filled again and then starts the everlong question when a cartridge is empty actually.

Of course, I know when a cartridge is empty, it weighs about 19 grams.

But we should not do that math.

I understand that HP would love everyone to buy their cartridges, but they cost way too new.

Seems average spririted. I could be wrong, but we are all in this together.

The ink is ink. I think HP should be a little more forgiving for us "little guys" who need to pinch pennies.

    Just saying '

    Rainman

P.S.: And Yes, I agree the continuous message on 'counterfeit cartridges' when I plug a Costco filled HP cartridge. They are not counterfeit, they are actual filled HP cartridges of actual real RGB ink! And, of course, I accept the responsibility addressed by the messages of ad nauseam when I insert these original re-filled HP cartridges. They seem to work well. Perhaps there could be a happy medium where HP could give a little and the moniter ink levels. Of course, I can continue to weigh the cartridges when the print head cleaning routine fails to get good results. But again, HP should be a little more friendly and less motivated in this respect of profit.

But having said that, the disorder shoot works great, and I appreciate it!

  • Message @ Officejet J4550 paper jam when there is no jam

My Officejet J4550 shows 'clear paper jam' and there is no jam.  I followed the instructions to remove a jam twice (even if it is not a), uninstalled & has tried to reinstall the software, I downloaded on the site.  He also said that there is a paper jam.  Any thoughts?

If it is still under warranty, it's time to contact HP.  If it is out of warranty, its probably time for a new printer.

  • Officejet 6600 paper size difference

My 6600 Officejet gives a difference of size of paper when I try to copy in color or black.  It seems random to resize and crop when it does not copy.  I used with or without automatic charger.  I used both automatically detect the size of the paper and manually set to letter without change.  I cleaned the printer window.

Scanner works fine with or without automatic charger.  Print from PC works fine.

    Put up-to-date driver.

Does anyone have an idea how I could fix this?

The solution is almost embarrassing, but I wanted to share in case where someone else it faces.

While I was with support and get the serial number on the back, I noticed that the door was ajar.  I assumed that was my daughter who had to move today, so I succeeded him and got well wedged in the back of the printer.

It turns out that the problem was that the door is ajar.  Which caused the paper mismatch error.

I hope this helps someone else.

  • OfficeJet 6600: Paper mismatch error

    Hello
Will be a mistake of the incompatibility of weird paper on this new computer. Initially, printed but on a slight angle, now it does print none with regular paper mismatch error. The book is on letter and page of the letter, is not sure what is happening.

Seen on a post of support for the same problems with a 6500 a download a firmware update - but once I try to install, it is said that the program is completely updated... which does not help. I clicked to repair the program in the region to add / remove programs, but no change. Would not have to uninstall and reinstall the printer, but probably it is the best next step for me for me.

But... I saw someone here say they have been PM'ing some people with a similar problem, some kind of reset the option for this obviously common problem... don't know why reset options aren't just posted on the forum as well. Also tried is installing the latest version of the HP Support Assistant... but it just sits there, appearing there download but nothing happens and it never seems to fill.

I hope we can understand this... endless with the 6600 lately.

    Thanks in advance!

Grandson did a uninstall and reinstall, we did things with the printer. It reprinted tortuous though, even after all the updates, firmware and drivers have been updated the link to the driver.

I always get the opinion of jam on the screen.  I unplugged it.  I turned it off to reset.  Nothing works.  I'm stuck.

There is a document with steps to help clear up this question in the 4620. This document can be found here.

  • HP cp1518ni: print a page then error message - paper jam

    Hello

    Hoping someone can help please:

I tried to print a 10 page document and my HP Laserjet Cp1518Ni prints one page at a time, each time with a message "paper jam tray 2, clear Jam then press OK". I have remove the tray and there is sometimes a piece of paper that has begun to pick up and sometimes not at all jammed paper. Once the tray is replaced then initializes it before printing a page more.

Is there something I can do to remedy to this please?

    Thank you, Shaz.

Problem on this model.  The drive tray 2 roller is probably worn out and must be replaced. Just do a search on google for the maintenance manual as instructions are in the manual. Rollers can be purchased online:

    Hi @Angusg,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I'd love to help you with your Officejet 8620. I understand that you have experienced a paper jam and may not get back the tray in position. There may be still a small piece of paper inside the printer preventing the sitting to the right of the status bar. Please take a look at the following document because according to me, it might help you check the printer on and get the installed tray: Printers HP OfficeJet - a "paper jam" Message is displayed.
